He even had the team create a wall after a truck drove into the academy, just to make sure that nobody missed training, which is so important for our mental and physical health. They don't let their purple or blue belts do all the teaching - they get in there and break it down, examine the issues they see, and find great ways to explain and improve in those areas. They are great at teaching newer students, as as a white belt with a year or so of experience, the knowledge and ability jump in that have been very large. I feel like 3 months of time here is worth 2x the time I have spent elsewhere. The benefit (and also a downside) to the school is it is very small (for adults). You get a lot of personal attention and guidance. The downside is the classes can be small sometimes for adults, depending on the day and time. If you are an advanced BJJ artist it would be a great opportunity to get a lot of individual help from very experience practitioners. The facilities are extraordinary clean and well-maintained - as good as or better than many schools. I would eat lunch off their mats :)

Travis was our main coach for a few months and I can tell the older kids work better with him. They only have beginner and advanced classes. It would be nice to have an intermediate class as well. I think in general more classes would be helpful as you cannot graduate to certain belts unless you are taking two classes a week. We signed up for a year and will plan to continue for as long as possible.
