Dr Minh Nguyen was the absolute BEST eye doctor I dealt with. In 12 months, I dealt with 2 optometrist and 3 ophthalmologist to try to see clearly. I went to 5 in ONE YEAR !!! Dr Nguyen was SO MUCH BETTER than anyone I got to see who actually tried to fix my blurriness with glasses..... AND succeeded!!! Dr. Bui is an excellent optometrist - he offers services and equipment that most ophthalmologists use. I have multiple complex eye issues going on at the same time and he is very accommodating and understanding - which is great for someone like me who is terrified of having people and objects go near her eyeballs (think Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange"). I never feel pressured to spend money I don't have, and though it can be complicated every year billing and I work together to parse through my primary and secondary medical insurances as well as my vision insurance to get everything covered as much as possible. I never have a problem getting squeezed in when I scratch my cornea either - though that happens far less frequently now than it used to as we have figured out why it kept happening and how to better prevent it. He has no ego like so many other doctors and sent me to a retina specialist and now they work together, and we coordinate with my migraine management schedule to try and take tests at the right time. If anything doesn't work for me I typically have what I would consider a long window of time to test and return for either a refund or replacement - imagine if other doctors did that for medications or treatments! Huge shout-out to Jen/Jenn/Jenny (please forgive me - I am terrible with names) is AH-MAZE-ING when it comes to frame adjustments so she has been able fit all my frame choices to not only crooked features but also to adjust the nose bridge flare and and other angles for the more "Alternative Fit" I need - which is harder to do when you only wear acetate frames. She's a magician, I swear it, and if you ever find that your frames never seem to look right or fit right, or after a while they need re-adjusting, call and ask when she'll be in to ask for her help. I have even learned the hard way that sometimes my Rx is right but after adjustments (and sometimes due to the shape/curvature of the frames initially) need to be tweaked with added measurements. read more

The doctor is very nice and carrying. But I believe they have a very sneaky billing practice. In July 2024 I came for and exam and this was my second time coming to this office, I made sure that they have all my insurance informations, such as Medicare with Supplements and Vision insurance. In 12/16/2024 I received a bill of $40.00 with Medicare and Supplements paid over $300 but there was nothing indicated any payment for the eyes exams. I've checked with my Visions insurance and there wasn't any file claims before going to this office asking what's going on. Their answer was they've filed claims with all of them but Medicare wouldn't pay for the eye exam which is correct. The lady even said that they did send the claims to my Visions insurance with no reply which is a lie. So I just paid the $40.00 and left. It's such a shame because I really like the doctor, but I don't know if I want to come back! read more

They are very nice but have sneaky practices this is my second time for a eye exam and the first time was reasonable. This time I'm walking out paying way more. So I do some research and see oh there's a Optomap Screening that's $49.00. I call to see if I did it last year and I declined because they asked in person this year they sneak the question into the paperwork they don't point it out etc. So of course this year they got me. Dr. Nguyen is incredibly knowledgeable and amazing with kids! Started coming here a few years with my son who has complex eye issues. Even when my child was having difficulties with eye drops and machines, Dr. Nguyen knew how to patiently and expertly handle him. Although the doc recommended we visit a specialist, the info he provided ahead of time precisely matched what the specialists said. Very impressed with the depth of his knowledge! I went to this place because they had a good frame collection and great reviews. The staff was super friendly and cordial. Although I didn't like any of the frames that day, the staff told me next month reps from their vendors are coming with a trunk show of the latest frames. I decided to wait a month for that day, and finally found a good looking frame. I paid for my new glasses and was told I would have them ready in 7-10 working days. I called them on the 7th working day regarding the status of the frame. I was told the glasses have actually arrived and I can come pick up later that day. However, a few hours later, I received a call saying that they are in the wrong frame. After buying glasses for 12 years, this is the first time I heard of someone fulfilling a prescription into an incorrect frame. They usually have a couple of different checks in place... I told them it was fine, and they had until the 10 days as we agreed. They offered to give me the wrong frame temporarily until the correct frame arrives -- but refused to adjust the frame to my face, so the gesture was effectively useless. I called back the next day to follow up and was told the frame is now on back order with no ETA. Would've been nice to know this earlier since I'm now a month out before my annual frame allowance expires, considering how many people were involved in placing the order that day, both from this store and the from vendor (whom they eventually blamed the mishap onto). Had this been checked, I could've just easily purchased my second choice frame. The representatives who were so cordial when you're handing over the credit card...changed right after you have the audacity to ask How they're going to fix the Error! The one and only thing on their mind: cut the time spent on this deal and let the one customer go, it's just not worth any further discovery to try to explore remedies/get him in a different frame. If I was to ever be so hasty in trying to get someone off the phone, rather than investing in diffusing them, I'd be fired. A serious coaching opportunity for this staff. Disappointed in the lack of effort, a full refund is what I've gladly left with. Pretty surprising the staff (as the Dr. himself was out that week) made the decision to take a loss on a set of premium-level custom lenses rather than at least trying something to make the situation right...Just an idea if they actually considered customer service a real thing for about 5 minutes...give him 20 bucks off for inconvenience and offer the second choice frame the customer liked, and just tell him delivery can take place the following week. Customer service really isn't hard unless you deliberately treat customers like they're just another number. I know business is booming in this area, so time very likely is money! But I wasn't just one number. My entire family and I moved from California last year and I actually wanted to bring them to this clinic for their exams and glasses... but that will definitely not happen after dealing with the staff I dealt with. They lost not just this family's business, but since I work for one of the largest corporations in the country with plenty of new relos, this one number ended up being quite a few more. I've made it a point that if asked for recommendations in the area as often as I am, I'll be sure to share this story whenever I can. Thank you OmniVision for my new set of eyes! I had given up on visiting eye care offices as I was never satisfied with the end results. I opted to reading glasses that seemed to work much better. I was invited to set up an appointment and I am glad I did. This office is complete! The front desk was very helpful and friendly. My exams were very detailed and the Technician (Eric) was very helpful and professional. I then met Dr. Bui who was awesome and explained my exam results. I did .... DUH an eye check. Doctor Bui is an awesome and knowledgeable doctor. If having consistent stye and him being the only doctor out of the 4 finding out you were allergic to contacts that caused it, well that means he is just darn good! HELLO! Not only that the office gives you a friendly year reminder to get your eyes checked. Which is good because I forget to do that and with my lasik surgery that tells me I need a check up every year to get my "life time guarantee" to be kept. I am extremely unhappy with the experience I've had at OmniVision so far. I have visited them twice, because I keep thinking I'll give them another chance, and both times I have been overcharged to the max. I first visited OmniVision because I needed to get my annual eye exam. I had laser surgery done on my right eye few years back due to cornea tear. I've had my eyes dilated at most eye care places and that usually does the job. My previous eye doctor had a machine that takes pictures, more fancy but the result is the same. However he didn't charge me for the usage of the machine, he had applied to my insurance to cover it. OmniVision asked me if I wanted to take the picture for an additional $50 and I said no because there was no need. When the doctor came, he requested me to take it like I had no choice and me not having idea it was the same thing got charged in the end. I had already said no, so why did you push me to take the pictures. Not everyone is at a place to just be spending money like that. I wear contacts, so I asked them about ordering contacts. OmniVision tells me they cannot prescribe me contacts unless I get a contact fitting. I called and asked how much contact fitting was because my insurance says they cover it. OmniVision tells me over the phone insurance only covers basic contact fitting. I suppose that is fair, so I told them my conditions: astigmatism and my prescription. They said it will be around $75 with a 20% discount. I thought that was ridiculous, but what do I know. I needed the contacts so I made an appointment. They literally just took a snap of my eye like they already did during my first visit, asked me to read off the backboard with my eye covered LIKE THE FIRST VISIT. The doctor came in and was like we'll order some trial contacts for you, I'll let you know when they come in because we don't have it in stock, and they will take care of you in the front. I was like THAT'S IT? I thought he was going to examine me more. I went to the front to pay and they said it's going to be $92. I was like you said $75 over the phone, and the lady goes "well you're a first time contact fitting so that's an automatic level 3 which is $115 and with 20% discount it'll come out to $92." I was like WE DIDN'T EVENT DO ANYTHING?!? And you didn't tell me the correct information over the phone. I've been in the service industry most of my life, and now currently working in the medical field as well. I am all about paying for the services I require or receive. What upsets me extremely is that I received absolutely NOTHING and I have to pay a ridiculous amount for it. The doctors are young, nice, and professional, but OmniVision clearly shows me they only care about how much they can get out of a patient. Unfortunately, I have to continue to deal with them. I am hoping they aren't going to charge me another $92 for picking up the trial contacts (I wouldn't be surprised at this point). I would spend my money elsewhere next time. read more

I went here to get my 7 year old daughter's glasses. We use to go to Target Optical, but it took them over 2 weeks to get the classes in. We walked in and were assisted immediately. They looked up our insurance and after my daughter selected her Hello Kitty glasses, explained everything to me. She told me the glasses would be in between 5-7 days, but I did not believe her, since we always had to wait so long at Target Optical. We got better glasses, better service and they use some digital thing that makes water, fingerprints and dust not attach to your glasses. We got this all in less than 5 days and for the same price as just the bottom of the barrel at Target Optical. Love this place! read more

I have not been to the optometrist in about 14 years. Typical guy. My vision lately has been getting kind of blurry. I also have a secret. I have a phobia of going to the optometrist. I think it stems from my Asian ness of not wanting to fail and I always fail those eye chart tests. The fear of not getting 100% A+. Thankfully Dr Bui assured me that it's OK to not pass the eye chart test. The relief that swept through me felt so good. The minute I tried on my new glasses was an epiphany. The world looked so clear now. It was like seeing the world in 4K clarity. The sky never looked so blue, the grass never looked so green. Jessica Alba never looked so freaking hot! I quietly said goodbye to my 13 yr old scratched, superglued together glasses. Goodbye old friend. I'm sorry for all those times I fell asleep on you and bent you up. I would recommend Dr Bui to everyone and I promise I won't wait another 14 yrs to get my eyes checked. read more

I had a good first visit for an annual eye exam. The office itself is very nice and organized. Everything that was going to happen during my appointment was explained beforehand. The ladies in the front explained what my insurance covered and what other practices had an extra charge. I typically get my eyes dilated, which I hate...but they offered a machine that could practically do the same thing without having me to dilate my eyes first. It was an extra $29 (I think), but they asked for my permission first. After the exam, I met with Dr. Bui who was very professional and allowed me to ask questions. Unfortunately, my eye sight is getting worse and that was a real bummer...but better to know now than later. I was given options about glasses and contacts, so I didn't feel like I was stuck in a corner. I ended up using my insurance on glasses, which saved me $$$. Contacts were a bit expensive, but Dr. Bui advised that the lenses could help prevent my eye sight from getting worse. I'm planning on testing them out for a year and hopefully I'll hear better news at my next annual exam. :) read more
