It had been some time since I received a massage, so I was looking forward to this visit! There is a parking garage conveniently located next to the spa, so that was great. The staff at the entrance promptly greeted me and asked if it was my first time. The process of checking in and getting around was simplified by them taking the time to walk me where I needed to go rather than just telling me, which was appreciated. I was walked to the area where I changed into a robe and was subsequently accompanied to the massage area. Unfortunately for me, there were a lot of stairs, something that my knee and foot surgeries did not appreciate. It was a little awkward to sit in a small, public waiting area wearing a robe but it's a minor sacrifice. I had a massage with Audrey, who was very nice and professional. I appreciated that she took the time to ask me about my concern areas and my goals for the massage. The massage itself was good, though I unfairly compare massages to my former therapist who was exceptional. Audrey was very communicative and, even for someone who finds it difficult to relax, it was a good experience. So I called them back and they told me that they had some sort of emergency and if I could come in at 4 PM instead. Thankfully, I was able to move some things around go in at that time. Once I arrived, I was asked to fill out a form that they would send me via email. I sat there for a few minutes until she did so. But moments later, the aesthetician came out and said that she is ready for me. I told her that I am still waiting for them to send me a form that I was asked to fill out. There seemed to be some misunderstanding or lack of communication between the front desk, person, and the aesthetician. I wish they had sent these forms before my appointment so I didn't have to waste time doing it there and cut into the time I was supposed to be starting the facial. I felt very rushed towards the beginning of my service. While I was filling out the form, the aesthetician (Darat) offered me some tea, which was a lovely touch. Then I headed in for my spa service. The actual facial itself was wonderful. One of the best ones I've gotten in a while. I told her that I recently got a nose piercing and to be careful around it as it is still healing. She was extremely careful and I felt no pain or sensitivity. She even threw in some head, arm and foot massages which I absolutely needed! It felt like a true spa experience. That is the reason I am giving it 4 stars, but docking one star because I wish the actual spa was a bit more organized in their scheduling and overall logistics. I opted for the 50 min hot stone massage and I did inform Suzy that I wanted a full body reset and gave her the green light to really apply pressure and dig deep into my massage. I was given an outfit to change into (you're fully clothed during the Thai massage) and it was soft and very comfortable! I had an "idea" of what a Thai massage was so I wasn't blindsided when I walked into the room and saw the pallet; that the massage was to take place on, on the floor. This type of massage doesn't take place on the typical massage table. The whole vibe of the room was a mix of a relaxing spa and HEAVEN! My therapist came into the room and the magic started!! While stretching my body, she found knots on my body that I didn't even know I had! She contorted my body in ways I didn't know it w could bend! She then got a walker and began walking on my back...my legs...my feet, my arms...my hands...you get it! The only place she didn't walk on was my head (they offer a separate massage especially for your head and I plan on checking it out as well)!! The head massage is called an "Indian head" massage . My body is usually riddled with constant pain (especially my hips and legs). Can you imagine my excitement when I got up from the floor and there was not a pain in my body to be found?!!! I got the massage on May 12th and to this day the pain has not returned (it is May 19th)!!!
