I want to be a matcha girly so bad, I gave it a try but it's just not for me. Matcha has such a strong "grass" like flavor. The strawberry purée at the bottom helped a lot but I'll stick to my fruity flavors moving forward.

I have been craving Matcha boba tea and decided to order delivery from OMTea for lunch. This place is excellent. They offer so many lactose and dairy free options. I decided on the Matcha Milk Tea with Oat milk and red bean instead of boba. It was so good. Matcha contains a compound called L-theanine, which alters the effects of caffeine, promoting alertness and helping avoid the crash in energy levels that can follow caffeine consumption. Red bean is a tasty way to incorporate fiber in your milk tea. I also ordered pork dumplings, Taiyaki with red bean and Nutella for my daughter. My daughter loved everything. The taiyaki is similar to a pancake meets waffle texture filled with love. Definitely will be ordering again and stopping by in that neck of the woods.

The location is very nice and convenient. Service was also very fast but the boba tea was not what I was expecting. The only fresh fruit option they had was the fresh squeezed lemonade. I ordered this and it tasted like very sweet sugar water with maybe a hint of lemon. It was also not worth $5.

This is my absolute favorite place to get boba! The boba is always consistent and delicious! I have not found another place that does! You can also get dumplings, fries, wings and Musabi bowls. I love this place!

This spot was jumping when we arrived. It's located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. The inside is bright and really clean. They sell teas, treats and food. We ordered our boba tea and some fried dumplings. Everything was yummy! I love how they have a few cool places to capture some really cool photos!

Delicious! our kids love Boba and thought we would try a new spot! When we entered the decor was super cute especially with the spooky decor for Halloween! The menu had lots of options for Boba and drinks as well as savory items and even specialty savory items on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Super easy to find and lots of parking. We will be returning!

Oh My damn .... OMTea NC finally has summer rolls and banh mi ... for now it's just on the weekends... All I can say is oh my damn it's good... Just look at the meat to other filler ration in the rolls ... and best thing about it ???? They found a way to have these rolls with the additional dipping sauce .. So go check out OMTea and try out the summer rolls ... Oh and dont forget the fresh sugarcane drink and other fresh boba teas.

OMT, more like OMG! This boba spot was not even on my radar before we stopped at the pho place next door, but I'm so glad I got to try the drinks here. It's an unexpected hit with my family, excelling at both milk and fruit teas. We ordered the strawberry fruit tea 30% sweet with white pearls and the dirty boba (black milk tea with brown sugar syrup) 50% sweet with regular boba. The green tea in the strawberry drink was slightly bitter, but something in that fruit syrup was mad addicting, pairing perfectly with the tea and keeping us hooked on each sip. There were real fruit chunks and the drink was the perfect sweetness for us. The dirty boba was a tad too sweet for me, and I think I'll go with 30% sweet next time. The tea was strong as was the brown sugar taste. Roasty, sweet perfection! The boba was sweet and soft, maybe a tad over-cooked but not mushy. I removed a star because their regular size is tinier than other boba places, but the cost is about the same. Regardless, this is a great place for your boba fix!

My mom loves boba and has been trying to make me love for it for years. I don't like the jelly feel of it. This time she ordered me a mango smoothie with popping boba (rainbow) and I fell in love. The service was quick even though it was a line when we arrived. You can also order online. The sell small bites, like chicken wings and fries, we had the fries and they were good. I would definitely go back and try another smoothie flavor, only with the popping boba though. Also ask for a stamp card, my mom has been there at least seven times and I saw a punch loyalty card and asked if she had one and she said no, she wasn't aware they had one. After like 12 purchases you get one free, I feel like they should offer it to you when you order not something you have to initiate.

The best "taro" milk tea that I have ever had in my life. The flavors were on another level and the sugar level was just right. The boba was also soft and had a good texture. In most boba shops, it's either one way or another. They got it right here! To top it all off, the customer service was A+ and 5-Stars worthy. The positive energy from the young man who took my order says it all. Respect to that!

I've been here quite a few times since moving to Raleigh over a year ago. Usually always leave with a good experience and good tea. However, during my most recent visit, the girl taking our order rushed my roommate and I through the process then proceeded to badger her coworker about making orders incorrectly. The coworker slammed things around in response. She made our order incorrectly and I almost felt afraid to let her know. When I did, she continued to slam things around and splash liquid over the work station while she fixed the order. You could have cut the tension with a knife and just about everyone in the building seemed to feel it as we all just looked at each other in confusion. The product is great, staff may need some work. My family is borderline obsessed with this place. We love that they have non-dairy milk options so we can actually have Thai tea while out and about! You can also customize sweetness levels which is great. I tend to go for a Hawaiian tea with lychee jelly while my husband alternates between Thai tea and a matcha latte, both with boba. Even my 4 year old gets in on the delicious beverages with a fresh squeezed lemonade. They have a rewards card so after 10 drinks you get a free one. I think we've gotten 3 free drinks so far, to give a clue about how much we go here. read more

I'm been waiting for this moment for a long timeeeee. I finally find a boba place that is 15 mins from my house and on the way back from school. I go to OM tea way too much now lol. I tried almost everything on the menu and they were all good. The Vietnamese coffee is amazing. I usually stop by on the way back from school to buy one and save it for tmr morning class. Servers are polite, friendly and helpful. We both got the brown sugar boba milk drinks and they tasted super yummy! Not overly sweet, which is nice, and you also have a sweetness level if you want to adjust. Also tried the pho fries and chicken wings. Not sure if I really tasted the pho seasonings but they were good fries overall...wings weren't too bad either. Definitely will be back to try all the other flavors! read more

New Boba spot in town and it's definitely top notch. I am very particular about my boba and the boba pearls here are cooked perfectly and have a great texture. The staff was friendly and the location is convenient with a cute little corner spot that has great natural lighting. The selfie wall is a cool addition as well. read more

The bubble tea is delicious but sadly the chicken nuggets were a huge disappointment and given to me raw on the inside. Asked them if they could make me fresh new ones two more times and each time they were raw on the inside. I ended up throwing up later after i left due to the raw chicken. They gave me a refund for the chicken nuggets but after being given raw chicken nuggets 3 times and throwing up because of them I feel like a refund was the bare minimum. Definitely nervous about trying food from there again. read more

My brother and I came to this boba shop today and we both decided to get smoothies with boba in them. My smoothie is the pink one and it's strawberry flavored. The taste of the smoothie is fine but while I was drinking it I realized those tiny red pieces in the smoothie are not chewable at all, they felt like little pieces of plastic in my mouth, not chewable or dissolvable at all. Nothing on the description of the smoothie said there would be little pieces of whatever it is in there. This is very concerning to me considering plastic is not edible and I most like swallowed some of the pieces even though I tried to spit most of them out when I realized they felt like plastic. My brother got the mango smoothie which was watered down and it didn't even taste like mango, it had more of a banana flavor. My brother drank his Drink but I had to throw mine away because which was a huge wast of money. I'm wondering has anyone had a similar experience with there strawberry smoothies? read more

The tea and boba taste really good! However, I do have a few complaints. The small size is VERY tiny and the large is only slightly bigger than what I consider an average sized cup of milk tea. I wish they offered a medium as a good middle ground. The service also took forever including both waiting in line to have my order taken and waiting for my drink. I would say altogether it took about 35 minutes. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though since they are new, and hopefully the management will be able to cut down the wait times in the future. I ordered the rose milk tea at 50% sweetness, and it was still way too sweet in my opinion. They may have forgotten to make it less sweet or their drinks may be super sweet, I'm not really sure. Besides my few issues, I think this place has great potential and I can't wait to see how they improve in the future! :) read more

I went close to when they opened last month, and although they are still finding their footing (in terms of organization and functionality), the boba and fries that I ordered were amazing. I've been to many boba shops and there's only two that I would go back to, this included. I would recommend the Tiger boba tea and lemon pepper fries (with spicy mayo). read more

Stopped by to satisfy the kids' boba craving and we were not disappointed. Their dirty milk boba tea was excellent - with great caramelized brown sugar flavor and chewy house made boba. My husband was very happy with their fresh-pressed sugarcane juice, and says it's the best he's had since his last visit to Viet Nam 19 years ago. read more

It's so refreshing and entertaining to see how miserable I'd be in their position of serving these boba teas at peak, high volume hour, and yet, see these guys nailing it and serving phenomenal drinks without pause. Literally every action and facial expression they make is wholly viewable and yet they all go 110% the entire time. Big kudos on the professionalism and work ethic, and of course, big kudos on the awesome bev. I'm a huge taro boba tea fan/critic, and this was my first time here and my tea tonight was top quality. I really love Ponysaurus beer, their pilsner is nice but their kolsch is my favorite. The Raleigh location menu has lots to choose from, we had a margarita pizza with pepperoni, hummus and wings. I can't recall what was in the hummus but we practically licked the bowl and the wings were a big hit too - note the Durham menu is a bit scaled down but one thing that's consistent with both locations is the amount of pita that came with the hummus. There is nothing worse than getting a huge bowl of hummus and only a few pieces of hummus or chips. Both locations knocked it out of the park - plenty of WARM pita for everyone. Service was great, we did't wait long and the tables were turned over quickly. They use a mobile app for ordering food which makes ordering fast and efficient and the food is delivered to your table - which I must note came out very fast.

Wow, this might be one of the best restaurants in Raleigh! I stopped in for a business dinner and…read morewas really excited to finally try one of Ashley Christensen's restaurants. Parking can be a bit challenging as you'll either need to find street parking or in a open lot near by. The restaurant itself is located in a historic building that once was a funeral home and also was also a tax practice in a different chapter. The restaurant feels very upscale but there isn't a strict dress code. The kitchen is open as well if yo prefer to sit along the kitchen and watch the chefs cook. When you order you'll have to place everything at the same time but they'll pace it out to your table. For drinks, I ordered the In Gold Blood (Bourbon, amaro, Fino sherry, banana, golden raisin) and the head in the clouds (Vodka, Falernum, strawberry, pistachio). Both drinks were excellent and extremely easy to drink. You'll definitely want to start with the sourdough bread, NC Oysters (Roasted NC oysters, chili butter, preserved lemon gremolata), and fried NC shrimp (Fried NC shrimp, buried garlic aioli, pickled green tomatoes). All of the appetizers were excellent in their own way. The bread and butter just complemented each other so well, the oysters were well balanced and almost seared where they weren't chargrilled but partially still raw, and the fried nc shrimp has a nice contrast of flavor with the pickled green tomatoes and fried shrimp. For the entree we split the Prime-aged Delmonico (ribeye; and was served in a red wine jus, and topped with sea salt and peppercorn). The steak fell apart as you bit into it. For sides, we ordered the crispy potatoes (Crispy potatoes, Italian chili crisp, piquillo peppers) and Brussel sprouts (Embered Brussels sprouts, apples, lardon vinaigrette, almonds). The steak and potatoes were definitely my favorite. The Brussel sprouts were good but a bit on the salad side where they were still a little hard. For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake (Basque cheesecake, strawberry compote, olive oil shortbread) and the Sticky Toffee Pudding (Sticky toffee pudding, embered vanilla ice cream, benne seed brittle). The sticky toffee pudding was so warm and was excellent. The cheesecake also had a nice balance of flavor and the strawberry compote combination worked perfectly. This is by far one of my favorite meals I've had in Raleigh and you definitely need to go here if you are in the area.

While the food left me somewhat underwhelmed, the cocktails were exceptional, among the best I've had in recent memory. The standout was the Over/Under, a beet-infused gin take on a Negroni. Absolutely phenomenal. The earthy beet notes were subtle but present, complementing the bitterness of the Campari, the floral qualities of the gin, and just enough sweetness to tie everything together. Every cocktail I tried was excellent, but this was the clear winner. As for the food, it never quite reached the same heights. The beef tartare was the best dish I had all evening. In fact, I found myself enjoying it more on the accompanying sourdough bread than on the rice crisps it was served with, which ultimately justified ordering the bread. The "pickled egg yolk" was an inventive twist, essentially replacing both the raw egg and cornichons found in a traditional French tartare. Clever in concept, but the pickling process seemed to sacrifice some of the creamy richness that the dish could have benefited from. The rice crisp accompaniment is also part of a trend I've noticed at several restaurants and one I'm not particularly sold on. They're usually too brittle to hold much tartare and often end up scattered across the plate. I find they work better crushed into the tartare itself than as a delivery vehicle. The oysters were the biggest disappointment of the meal. Heavily drenched in butter, they felt one-dimensional, with the lemon zest providing the only real counterbalance. To be fair, this is likely intended as a shared dish, and as a solo diner consuming the entire portion myself, the richness may have become more pronounced than intended. The gnocchi delivered deep, satisfying flavor and were impressively light, though perhaps a touch too soft for my personal preference. As I glanced over at the roast chicken being served to the couple next to me, a sense of ordering regret began to creep in. What ultimately elevates Death & Taxes is its hospitality. The service was genuinely five-star. Every dish was explained thoughtfully as it was delivered, and the bar team struck that perfect balance of attentiveness and conversation, making a solo diner feel completely welcome. Their warmth and professionalism raised this experience from a three-star meal to a four-star evening. And they are all 5 star.

Pricy for one cookie, but they do look pretty and are packaged well so they make a great gift. The rotating weekly menu is exciting, but the cookies are not very flavorful so they taste similar. Even the guava cookie had a very faint fruity flavor and mainly tasted like sugar. Many times I have noticed that the unique flavors are just in the frosting not the cookie itself. I understand having a weekly changing menu is challenging, but there is room for improvement on their flavors. The cookies are all perfectly baked and decorated beautifully.
