Family stopped by when we were on the road. The wings were off the hook delish! But everything we had was great. We also had galbi & spam musubi. My son had ramen and fell over in his chair saying it was the best ramen he's ever had. The owner was super friendly and even gave us some free stuff to try after we asked about it. Not sure what the hoopla is about? We got there at 11:15 to NO ONE around. We just stood there checking out the "scene" there. Is it a bar? Is it a ?????? Mismatched tables and chairs, no fountain drinks (on fact drink menu shows VERY limited. Ordered the Chicken Bento Box and the Crunch Chicken Mild. Well the Crunch Chicken was mild, so mild that there was absolutely NO Flavor. The texture is great, but with those flavor at all, it was a bust. The Bento Chicken Boxes Chicken also has Zero Flavor. We went because of the reviews, but being there from 11:15 - 11:59 and only one other person dropped in (but didn't even order). It was a ghost town - and with a bill for over $37 for 2 tasteless lunches, we won't be back. read more

The normal Thai restaurant when passing by, but upon entering it looks very authentic. They take the word "spicy" literally which is important to me. Great sushi, chicken, and any kind of bento box you get. I've been here twice and both were great experiences. Last, amazing service! read more

The regular fried chicken is actually very good; crispy and juicy - easily a 4 or even a 4.5 stars. Definitely comparable to the bb*q Chicken, Kyochon or Bonchon chains. However, the Korean style (saucy) fried chicken is simply not spicy enough and would leave you disappointed if that is what you're craving. The one thing that actually drop the rating of this place to 3 stars is the white rice ...it is horribly dry and tasted like days old rice. This translated to a really bad spam musubi too unfortunately. Also, any respectable fried chicken must have BEER, which this place does not ......yet only (I hope). read more

I've been looking for a Korean fried chicken place in Corona for ages, and finally Hi BBQ Chicken pops up! I ordered the 10 piece (mild) and the beef plate. The fried chicken was great - the crispiness was exactly what I've come to expect from LA and OC Korean fried chicken. The flavor was mild (as per the title...?), which was great. It was a little oilier than I expected, but then again it's... fried chicken. If it's not a bit oily, I guess it wouldn't have been... fried. I shared the 10 piece with a friend and honestly it was enough to fill both of us up. I'm definitely going to order this again, albeit at a higher spiciness level. We weren't able to even get halfway through the beef plate because we were so full, but I'll rate it regardless. The rice was a bit dry (I did order 30 min before closing so that's probably why), but I really enjoyed their salad and steamed veggies! The bulgogi beef was also pretty good, but I could taste a strong vinegary (almost reminiscent of ketchup). Overall, also a good choice, although I will be eating the rest tomorrow morning for brunch. If you're trying out this place for the first time, I'd definitely order the fried chicken - plus a beer, because I KNOW they'll pair well together. read more

My family loves Korean fried chicken and this place did not disappoint! Food and service was excellent, Ted even offered me a sample of the Spicy chicken which was sooo good! It seemed like a cool place to hang out if you had the time. The employees were nice and efficient; to top it off, the wings were the BOMB!!!! I had made my order of spicy soy chicken wings to-go so I could enjoy it at home, but they did not make to the house. They smelled so good I had to try one while driving. It was a symphony that I had rarely experienced. The taste hit so many of the notes. It was well flavored, super light and crispy and so moist that juices was dripping down while the spicy left a nice warm feeling in my mouth. I had devoured the whole order before reaching the house. I have been driving past this place and wanting to try. My schedule and sporadic laziness didnt allow me to until now. I arrived a little earlier than business hours permit, but it was no issue, they helped me out right away. The two staff there seem like a couple and the owners. They were kind and friendly. The lady went to making my food fresh right away. I ordered the beef plate, the beef and chicken katsu plate, the crispy soy popcorn chicken, gyoza, coconut boba and egg rolls. Everything was very good, and the chicken was super crispy. The katsu was good and crunchy too. I felt like I was getting a taste of thier families home cooked recipies. The place is nice inside, lots of things to look at, clean, and lots of tvs. Ill go back and try the traditional type fried chicken and ribs dishes. They have a cool collection of asian flavor chips and interesting versions of coke bottles. I should have investigated if they have beer and what the coke tastes like.
