Looking for a tour guide to show you the ropes in Hawaii? Look no further. The Team at On the Rocks are here to help you get your adventure on. Whether it be hikes, tours, beaches, or boat trips these guys do it all. I had the opportunity to use this company for their catamaran tour. Regan, Kai, and Carson picked us up from Sand island and took us out near Diamond Head. A cooler with ice was provided for us to use; fill it up with whatever you want. It was a great trip: fishing, swimming, jumping out of the catamaran, etc. I truly enjoyed the adventure. Watch out for Carson though, little man is a player. He will try to snatch your chic right in front of your eyes. Ladies beware! Overall I would recommend On the Rocks Adventures and while Yelp might not have many reviews on this company, take a look at Trip Advisor and you can see many more 5 star reviews. These are not your standard tour guides that herd tourists around like cattle. You do what you want, they are there to guide you along the experience! WTF!!!! Very expensive ride to Pearl Harbor. You can catch the Bus to Pearl Harbor and the Punchbowl Cemetary. The Pearl Harbor Tour is not an actual tour and Pearl Harbor does not charge an entrance fe. There is only a $1.50 reservation fee associated with your very own self guided tour. Please do your homework before booking any Groupon for Pearl Harbor. I am ashamed that individuals are allowed to make money off of the memorial of Pearl Harbor. read more

These two are amazing! The boat is a perfect size for anything you are wanting to do... whether it be whale watching or sailing this is boat to go on. I had the pleasure of going out on the boat with ragon and Carson for a night and we had a wonderful sail through Waikiki. On the way back to the Harbor we saw a whale and 6 dolphins. A very relaxing cruise with an awesome staff! I would recommend it to anyone! read more

Awesome experience! The crew was lively, shared some history about the islands and greeted us with open arms. The boat was clean and large enough to fit a sizeable party without feeling crowded. This was a great experience! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great adventure. We went out on the Sea Lark catamaran this past Sunday for a 4 hour trip out from Sand Island access harbor to Diamond Head and back. Our adventure began at 11am and we boarded and were greeted by Regan, Kai and Carson (Regan's son). There was a large cooler and ice provided. We were able to bring our own snacks and drinks. We were a party of 11. There was ample room for everyone and it was a beautiful day. Carson, who is 12, was proud to announce that he's the first mate. He was delightfully charming and spread lots of aloha, especially with the ladies! Regan is steady and made small talk, but he was focused on sailing and I was confident in his ability and knowledge of the sea and the winds. It was also nice to see a father teaching his son valuable skills and working together. They compliment one another. Kai is outgoing and knowledgeable about the island and it's history. The ride out to Diamond Head was just a little rough and I got sea sick for the first time. The back of the boat is definitely more stable than the front and I was glad to be able to sit (and lie down at one point) back there. Once we got to the Waikiki area, we anchored and swam in water about 20 ft. deep. The water was clear and so blue! Once in the water, my nausea subsided and I was fine! We had a good 30 mins to swim and relax. You'll definitely need lots of sunscreen, since the sun reflects off the water and the boat is white, so that reflects too. I was using spf 50 and had to apply at least 3 times, but thankfully didn't burn too badly. We returned to the harbor at 4pm and were all feeling grateful for Regan and his crew for making our day so enjoyable and taking time to really honor vets! It was a much needed day of relaxation and fun. We will be scheduling another tour in December when our family comes to visit. Thanks again On The Rocks Adventures!! read more

I was going to buy a Groupon to go on a half day cruise on a catamaran. I called the owner of On The Rocks Adventures, who calls himself Ragan to schedule a day to go out. He told me he is a Veteren and that he takes other Veterens out for free who have PTSD. He asked me to pay him directly instead of Groupon because he would get to keep more of the money and he said he could discount it $25. I said, OK, If it will help you out, I don't mind paying you instead of Groupon. We scheduled a date and time & I gave him my credit card info. He charged my card Oct 20th. I went to Hawaii oct 25th and on the 28th I went with 3 friends to go out on our tour. He wasn't at the harbor when we were supposed to meet him there. I called him and he said the stitching on the net of the Catamaran was torn and asked if we could go the next day. We were not available the next day but I told him we were OK going with the torn net & we could stay off that side of the boat. about 20 minutes later he showed up in the harbor. We got on the boat and he started backing it out. He said it was stuck in reverse and that he couldn't take us out until it was fixed. He said he would try to fix it and call us back if he could. The next day he said he couldn't fix it but he would refund the $325-00 that I Paid him. A few days passed and I called about the refund. He said he didn't know why it wasn't in my account and that he would call Square ( I assume his visa service provider) and check into it. You can guess the rest of the story. He never returned my money and when I filed a dispute with my Visa card company, he lied and said that I paid him after receiving the service. The only problem is, I have receipts showing that I paid him before I even went to Hawaii. If you use this guy, who calls himself Ragan, watch your wallet, get a receipt and keep your records, you may need them. read more

We had a great time with Kai, our tour guide. I got a groupon for their Pearl Harbor tour for my mom & I. From the minute we got in the van until the minute we got dropped off back at our hotel, we were given wonderful little pieces of history about the island, the Hawaiians, Hawaii & Pearl Harbor. This was a great adventure and we all had a great time! The catamaran cruise lasted for about 4 hours with a great view of the ocean and of the island from a far. The captains young son was very knowledgeable about how to work the boat which was very impressive. There was a large cooler provided where we could put our drinks and snacks in. It got a little bumpy on the way out but that all depends on the weather conditions for the day. You could either sit in the back of the boat where there were chairs or lay in the front of the boat, only if you don't mind getting a little wet ;) We set anchor and hand a good hour or so to swim around and/or snorkel in the clear blue water. Over all it was a great experience and I would most defiently recommend On The Rocks Adventures to friends and family! Remember to bring a lot of sunscreen! read more

I'm writing to express my gratitude and recommendation for Kai Logan and On the Rocks Adventures. My four daughters and I were visiting Oahu in October 2016 and wanted to see all we could in the short time we were there. Kai's contact information was given to us by another client who highly recommended him as a personal tour guide. We were not disappointed! Kai picked us up and returned us to the airport, thus saving us from having to rent a car and drive in an area we were unfamiliar with. Kai also picked us up in his van on two separate days and showed us beautiful places we would have missed had it not been for his expert knowledge of the island's history and locations. We walked among sea turtles basking in the sun, saw fantastic beaches, lava caves, bamboo forests and so much more.
