1) Customer service - very poor both by phone and in person. They lost a potential customer in me by their inexperience with how to deal with me as a customer, and very little knowledge of the product. 2) For baby shower gifts, it would be so helpful to have gift receipts, or some system, so you don't have to ask your friend who gave you a thoughtful gift for the receipt to return an item! I always prefer to shop local, but this experience made me appreciate Target and Amazon's baby shower gift return policies. Here are the details of my one time experience. Definitely not planning on going back! I received a baby shower gift of cute, new FuzziBunz diapers from this store in a special FuzziBunz bag. However, I was bummed to discover that there are elastics that are supposed to be included with these diapers, and one diaper had it and the other didn't. Unfortunately, there was no gift receipt included, so I called the store to find out how to get the elastics. The staff member didn't know how to answer my question so put me on hold for a few minutes. Then she came back and asked me if I was "sure" that they were the same diaper. I assured her that I had all the packaging and they were exactly the same, save for the color. She didn't seem to believe me, and then put me on hold for 7 minutes. I finally hung up and called back. When I called back, they said to bring the diapers in and they would find some elastics from another diaper they had in the shop. (I guess they're hoping the person buying that diaper won't notice.) So I drove all the way there, and they did give me more elastics. However, while I have generally liked FuzziBunz products, these diapers are very odd and confusing - the BumGenius I had received at the baby shower made a lot more sense. The two staff members who were trying to explain them to me were just as confused as I was about how they work. When I asked if I could exchange them for store credit to get something that worked better for me, they told me they couldn't take exchanges without a receipt and that I should get the receipt from the person who gave them to me. Not only is this extremely awkward, but it would mean another trip back to the store after making the (very awkward) effort of asking for the receipt from my friend. Seriously, I love baby shops, and have had lots of good experiences at Pumpkin Patch shopping for my 5 year old, and baby-to-be. I was excited to learn about this one, but they did not do a good job securing me as a customer. read more

I LOVE this store!! We usually shop here during their sales (which are AWESOME) And we have a great experience every time. This weekend they had their grab bag sale and we got $800 worth of clothes for just $30! (We purchased two bags) Not to mention they have great customer service. If you have a question just reach out on Facebook, and you'll be met with timely answers and the sweetest admin. Couldn't recommend this store more! read more

This is a store for bargains. As with any bargain shopping, you have to look. I've bought clothes for toddlers (boy- 16 mos; girl - 3yrs) and my older son 12 here. Plus, non-clothing items -- double stroller, toys, and shoes. I found tap shoes for my daughter for $6.50 instead of paying $25 at Payless. The employees are always friendly. Love when they run 50% of sales. Good to get Holiday dresses that they only wear once or twice. read more

I've been shopping at this store for years and it's really gone down hill lately. The most recent time I was here, the staff couldn't be bothered to welcome me or stop gossiping about someone else when I asked them a question. The bathroom was broken and they didn't offer me an alternative even though I'm eight months pregnant. I'm not sure what is going on here, but it's a shame to see facilities ignored and unhelpful staff bring a place down. I frequently shop at Sparkle Kids and the difference in service and facilities is staggering. Once upon a child still has low prices, but that's really the only draw it has left. read more

I tried selling some of my daughters clothes at this location. They explained that the clothes that they did not accept were outdated. I had clothes from Janie and Jack that were about 9 months old that were not accepted. I did not feel that the staff really knew what they were doing. So I went the the location in North Austin and they bought what this location did not buy. (This happened about 10 months ago so maybe things have changed but I have not been back) read more

We found what we were looking for. The clothes seemed well organized and in decent shape. The staff seemed uninterested in being there. The store itself was dirty. With three employees there and 1-3 customers, someone could be washing the floor properly without dried, dirty streaks and cleaning the bathroom. The changing room is a joke. A curtain pulled across the back entance. No place to hang clothes or sit to try to and pull bottoms on. Small improvements could make a huge and positive impact. read more

This place is horrible! I have try to sell my baby's clothes here a couple of thinking it would get better but it didn't. Today was the last time I will ever try to sell to this place again. I went in today with hardly woren clothes and some clothes that my baby has ever woren and after having to wait 3 hours for them to go through to bag, which I don't mind the wait at all,they tell me the reason the didn't take most of the clothes is because they 'just have to much'! I understand a store like this can have to much clothes but don't waste my time and just tell people the store as to much and is not buying any clothes at the time, would that be so hard? read more

Wow.... very impressed, the girls are very nice and had a lot of stuff on the floor, very organized and clean, first time there but will definitely be back, I was able to find everything that I was looking for my daughter since everything is by age, got really good deals over the weekend with the $15 dollar bag. Hey, ya'll! As a first time seller, I must admit I was initially somewhat hesitant to bring my daughter's clothing to this store (especially after reading some of the negative reviews). To my surprise, however, I actually had a really pleasurable experience doing business with them today! The blonde girl up front who checked me in was really professional, personable and helpful (I came in with just my 18 month old daughter and she actually offered to carry my container back out to the car for me seeing as how I already had my hands full). My only critique is in regards to the wait time... I was told over the phone that it was "first come, first serve" and that the wait was typically very short. Well, perhaps it was just a very busy day but the whole process lasted over and hour and a half. Luckily, there's a Burger King nearby with a fun play area and so the wait really wasn't much of an issue at all for my daughter and I. All in all, I had a very positive experience with this store and will without a doubt bring my business back to them in the future! read more

I drove an hour to get here because I wanted to sell some clothes that my kids have outgrown and get them some new fall clothes. We got there about 45 minutes before closing and were told that they stop buying an hour before they close and that they had already shut down their system. That's the kind of information that should be on their website. I will not be returning to buy or sell. read more

I will NEVER sell to OUAC southwest store ever again. I dropped my things off and was told it would take about 30 minutes. I left and came back about 30 mins later. Associate 1, not going to use names, was finishing up with my buy. She placed 2 boy shorts in front of me and said I can offer you 2.70 for your items and this is what we don't want and rushed off. I was a little confused because I took in a bin of girls bigger size clothing in for buyback. So I asked another sales associate for help. I said I brought in a bin of girls items and explained what Associate 1 had done. I saw my bin on the back shelves and pointed to my bin and said that's mine. The associate then had to find the stuff they kept because the items in my bin were the rejects. By this time Associate 1 came back. She found the clothes they decided to keep, punched in some numbers in the register and said ok we can offer you $10.xx. I said what? I gave you a whole bin with at least 1/4 of it NWT. She was acting so weird. She was frazzled and had no clue what the heck she was doing. She kept sniffing and wiping her nose, and her eyes were so blood shot. She punched in numbers again and said she would have to redo my buy. I was frustrated. I asked 2 other girls if they would complete my buy. They just looked at me. I said please finish my buy for me. One girl walked to Associate 1 and Associate 1 said no I've got it. I'm almost done. I let it be. Associate 1 finished the buy and made the offer. I asked her if I could see the final number, offer, on the receipt. She told me she couldn't do that. I explained that every other time I've gone in that I've always seen the "buy" amount. She said no. I asked for a manager because I was very unhappy with my service. She said there was no manager. Then I asked for the owners phone number. She said she didn't have it and that the owners never come around. I left and immediately called the north store. I spoke with the manger and gave my complaint. She said she would forward my information to the owner and the owner would call me. Well that never happened. I will NEVER sale back to this place. Horrible service and never a call back from owner or management. Stay away from this place!!!! read more

I took in 1 box of stuff. There were 4 members of staff. I was told there were people before me and the wait would be approx an hour. I told them I would wait having already driven 30 mins to get there. There were only 3 people in the store, 1 was being dealt with, the other 2 were shopping, they paid and left. A woman came in about 15 mins later with 3 items, she was dealt with immediately. 40 mins later the guy who was working in there asked if I was waiting to sell stuff. He then told another member of staff to deal with my stuff rather than the dealing with those that have dropped off. The 3 girls in there couldn't look more bored if they tried. 2 of them were doing nothing (kind of irritating when you are waiting). The waiting issue needs to be dealt with...deal with people who are waiting 1st, not those who have dropped off and are coming back later. Be polite to the customers, its rude to stand and stare (especially as you could be working instead). The price they give you for what you sell is really not worth it. Management need to sort the lazy staff out or get new staff. Plenty of people out there wanting a job. read more

I am terribly unhappy with this location. I took some very bulky items in that they denied (and it wasn't easy getting them there and back home, not to mention the time). I was told they were in GREAT condition but didn't have all the parts. After going through the manual I provided WITH the item AND checking parts on the Internet I realized they indeed did have every part they were purchased with. The staff needs to be more familiar with the items they are buying before speaking so confidently about missing parts. Also, they will deny some very nice clothes but if you thumb through their racks you will see stains, holes and fading on many of the items for purchase. It must be VERY INCONSISTENT buying. I picked up a pair of black Nike shorts that I wanted to purchase for my son and noticed the entire crotch area had been hand sewn in purple!!! What??? and they wanted $8 for them. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more
