I love Goodwill for buying gently used items as well as the fun the kids have checking out new stuff and recycling instead of buying new. We also tried to drop our overflow items off instead of having a garage sale. The selection is immense and the staff always greets me when I walk in the door. DVDs, artwork, aisles and aisles of clothing, and I even saw an unused couch pillow for $3 pillow that I got at IKEA for $20. You never know what you're going to find but it is definitely fun to browse till you find something that catches your eye.

Large Goodwill location with a nice selection (I'd say the majority of it is housewares and clothes, but good selection of garden/other stuff too). I agree with another review that said you won't find many vintage items at this location (but it's always a hit or miss when you go Goodwill hunting anyway). Donation dropoff is a super convenient drive-thru along the right side of the building; they are always very efficient and ready with a donation receipt. Staff at the checkout is always notably nice and friendly as well which makes it extra inviting. I love stopping in for quick visits here on days I pass by for work just to look around and see what new awesome stuff might be waiting inside! I rarely leave without SOMETHING, and it's usually a brand new item with tags (I've gotten garden pots, drink accessories, multi packs of really nice socks...just a few examples haha!) I say it's totally worth dropping in for a quick look around if you're in the neighborhood.

There are so many thrift stores out there that I've gone to but this one by far is one of the best as far as clothing selections go. I always walk out with $30-70 worth of clothes and with that money I get so much especially on discounted items. Not to mention their used clothes are so well priced it honestly makes the experience more enjoyable. Now here are the cons. Their new with tags items are WAY over priced, some near retail. I know those are supposed to be more expensive ideally they should at least be half off not near retail price which defeats the purpose of buying them thrifted. Another thing, it's way too hot and stuffy in there. I've gotten used to it but they don't have AC only fans which doesn't do much only if you're in front of it. Other than that the pros outweigh the cons. The employees are cool, and honestly I typically spend like 3-4 hours there at most. I always look forward to coming here. Lastly, don't forget to bring cash because it's cash only!

The worst part was how rude their customer service is. My 2.5 year old is deaf/hard of hearing and took off her hearing aid in the store. My husband put it in what he thought was our cart. When we realized he had misplaced her hearing aid, I went back inside to look for it. I asked one of the stockers to help and they ignored me. I then went to the front to ask for help and was told that I would need to look in the carts myself. I told the lady that my daughter needs the hearing aid to hear and they are very expensive but she blew me off again and told me to look myself. I then told her I had spent $60 in the store and that they were $12,000 and asked if she would please help me. She told me " not with that attitude I can't." She then forced me to take a breath and continued to berate me about my attitude after she had refused to help me. She finally did make an announcement and someone came forward with the hearing aid. I'll never go back to this store and would never recommend it to anyone.

Second Looks is clearly his baby: he's not just an attentive consultant, responding to your preferences on house, material, and tailoring (thankfully, he is not hesitant to offer his excellent suggestions on fit and styling), he's also a gentleman and a scholar, eager to share his considerable knowledge about the history of menswear, soul music, and rodeo, having been a cowboy himself before working in radio and taking over Second Looks. Michael's selection is fantastic. he showed me suits and separates from Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece, Drake's, Canali, and local Austin bespoke tailors Capra and Cavelli. He's got Allen Edmonds shoes and a great collection of belts, which seem to go very quickly. I didn't peruse his selection of casualwear, but it seemed just as well-curated and complete as his formal sections. I walked out with a Golden Fleece jacket and alligator belt having spent about $115--he gave me the educator discount. I couldn't have asked for better value. Having lived in Boston, Cleveland, Charleston, SC, Eugene, OR, Granada, Spain, and Norwich, England, I've never been so impressed by a menswear shop, let alone a secondhand store, or by its owner. TL;DR: Go see Michael. He's got the goods.
