Great place to sell Kids' clothes, books and toys they have outgrown. Although they don't take everything, they've bought a good portion of my stuff I've taken there, especially if it's in newer/good condition. Based on their needs and the current trends is what they tend to purchase. Granite you are not going to make a fortune selling stuff back, but I figure if I can sell some of it back, at least you make some money for stuff that you would probably end up donating anyways. I haven't purchased anything from there, although I do see some Name Brand items within the store. I do think most of the sizes are for infants, toddlers and kids up to age 10. There are older children items within the store, but as most kids get into their pre-teens and teenage years, they most likely would not shop there. Staff has been nice most of the time and you do have to wait for them to go through whatever you've brought, so might be a good idea to make the drop off and then run some errands. Typically it takes them about 1.5-2 hours to get through what you've brought in to sell. Overall, I would continue to try and sell my kids' stuff here. read more

I always call ahead to see what items the staff is looking for so it's easier for them to choose my son's clothes he outgrew. There is plenty of parking and I am greeted right away at the door. The store is very clean and organized, plenty of items/clothes for the littles ones with reasonable prices. I drop off my bin of clothes and get a status text update of my place in the queue. They are pretty quick about an hour or hour and half until I am ready for pick up. I have no issues whatsoever and the staff pick several clothing pieces they will take. I come to Once Upon a Child almost every week, and I'm honestly surprised by all the negative reviews. The staff has always been super friendly and knowledgeable. I've sold a lot of clothes here, and while you're not going to get a high payout per item, let's be real--you're selling used baby clothes. They're also not price-gouging. If you've worked in retail, you know stores need to make at least a 50% profit to stay in business. So if I sell a romper for $1 and they resell it for $2.50, that makes total sense. A lot of the complaints seem to come from people expecting top dollar for secondhand items. I'm just glad to get anything back--and it's better than letting things sit unused at home. It's definitely worth bringing your items in, just don't expect big payouts on every piece. They have to cover their costs too. read more

So I went with my 1 year old to bring a couple things in my wagon with my heavy bassinet. She had asked me to put together after checking it so took me around 25 min to build. Not easy to build with my baby with me all to take it down 5 min later taking me another 20 min to break it down had 2 mini stains which would have come off but it was in great condition with a case too. Its so rude and frustrating knowing she had checked it made me do all that work for nothing. And none of those girls were accommodating to even help a bit knowing she knew that was her fault for telling me to build it. Took few items for 12$ waited 2.5 hours. I was genuinely excited about the opportunity to earn some extra income as a single mother while balancing school. I took the time to gather high-quality clothing and shoes, all in excellent condition, with the hope that it would be worth the effort. Unfortunately, after waiting over two hours in an area far from where I live, I was extremely disappointed by the offer I received. This location is very unprofessional. The manager and staff are laughing and playing with the toys customers are trying to sell while there's a long line to checkout/ pickup. Multiple times now I have taken brand new clothes with tags or clothes in really good condition and they have turned them down due to their weird random reasons. I'm convinced they either only take ugly ass clothes or they really just don't buy good stuff. Despite all the negative reviews and knowing I wouldn't be offered much money, I still decided to drive 40 minutes here (with my 7 month old baby) because I had time off work to do so and did not want to deal with the hassle of selling on Facebook Marketplace and have strangers meet me with my baby. However, I will be using Marketplace after all. There was a sign outside saying they reached their limit of buying and that the counter was closed for the day. Some of the items are not labeled correctly and are very worn. I have bought here a few times and maybe pick 4-5 items I have sold here once and will not sell here again. I showed up with 15 boxes that I had to haul out of the car myself and make multiple trips to carry just for them to tell me they were only taking two boxes. They have clothes and accessories, plus toys, games and small furniture pieces (strollers, pack n plays, etc.). Every time I go in they have new items. So many wonderful, quality kids items (clothes, shoes, toys, baby gear) all for wonderfully low prices! They have regular sales where everything with a yellow tag is $1 each, and if you sign up for their loyalty app, there's pretty regular coupons for $5 off. Most books are only $1.50 regular price! I've tried to sell items to them before, and they're quite picky with not accepting clothes that look even remotely stained or well-used. They also don't really give much money in return for the stuff they do accept. Although that's not good for us when we're selling, that great for us as buyers! Employees vary from really helpful to kind of rude & bringing your things in to sell is a total toss up as well. You never know what they're looking for and it heavily depends on who is going through your things that day. Overall they are really good at keeping the store clean, stocked, and well priced.
