It was a big job with a lot of moving parts, and choosing the Perez brothers turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. I originally chose them because their quote was fair, but what really sold me was Santos himself. He was honest, straightforward, and gave me confidence that his team could handle everything--from carpentry and electrical to plumbing--without me having to juggle multiple contractors, even for the custom sauna. I knew I was dealing with someone I could trust during our first meeting. Santos noticed that my under-cabinet kitchen lights weren't working and showed me how to fix them with a $30 part from Amazon and about 20 minutes of work. Another contractor had quoted me $1,800 to replace the entire system. That one conversation told me a lot about his character. Another thing I appreciated was that Santos, his brothers, and their crew are the ones who actually do the work. They aren't just selling the job and handing it off to subcontractors. They take pride in what they do, and it shows. Once the project started, they showed up early every morning, worked hard all day, cleaned up before leaving, and often stayed into the evening to keep things moving. Communication was always good, and if I had a question or wanted to change something, Santos was easy to reach and happy to talk it through. The quality of the work was excellent across the board, but the sauna is definitely the highlight. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are incredible, and it's become our family's favorite room in the house. We use it almost every day. It's not often you find a contractor who's skilled, dependable, honest, and reasonably priced. If you're looking for someone you can trust to do quality work, I highly recommend Perez Painting Pro Renovation. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Santos and the team again.

But once I signed the agreement they sent an additional agreement the next day demanding 50% up front (no problem with that) and an additional 40% when only half the work was done. Big red flag. The project manager Mike and the decking crew led by Lupe that rebuilt and extended our deck did a great job. They need to improve the communication between the sales side and the project manager. I would suggest a meeting with the construction manager, project manager and the home owner to make sure all are the same page right up front. The project was done in a week, including the Saturday before Memorial Day to make our deck usable. I would recommend them for a new or rebuilt deck.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with South Atlanta Group LLC. While the interior, basement, and fireplace portions of the project were completed, the final and critical component the chimney cap installation was never finished. According to our agreement, this work was supposed to be completed in December 2025. As of June 2026, the chimney cap remains unfinished. Despite numerous phone calls, text messages, and attempts to communicate, I have received no response from the company regarding the status of the remaining work. The lack of communication, follow-through, and professionalism has been extremely frustrating. Because the project was left incomplete, I am now faced with hiring another contractor and spending an additional $2,000 to finish the work that was already paid for under the original contract. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage potential customers to be cautious about paying the full project cost upfront. My expectation was that the company would honor its commitments and complete the work as promised, but unfortunately that did not happen in my case.
