Dr. Serena has always been wonderful with my youngest daughter, but yesterday she had a dental assistant Jezelle who was unprofessional and had a nasty tone with my other daughter who is also a patient here. I did not appreciate the way this dental assistant kept interjecting in my conversation with my daughter and egging my daughter on. Like I said very unprofessional. I made a note with the front desk that I never want this Jezelle person near my daughters again. Normally I would just go somewhere else, but I have struggled looking for a great pediatric dentist office and like I said we love Dr. Serena and the care she has given my younger daughter. I was so upset with how I felt when I left their office yesterday, but I will not permit someone to be nasty to my daughter. This isn't the first time she's been rude either. The last time we had been in there and had the same encounter with her as well. This time I made sure that she's never near my girls again. read more

The dentist, hygienist and staff are amazing! They are all professional and patient with the kids. The office is tailored to make the whole experience for the children enjoyable and not scary from the moment you walk in the doors with the games and tablets on the wall and with the themed rooms and TVs on the ceiling. My kid hates going to the dentist but do you know what helps? Distractions and plenty of them.  The owners of this dentist office know that quite well because the office is brightly colored and decorated with stuffed animals. There are also television screens that your child can watch while getting their teeth cleaned. The dentist could have done oral surgery and my son probably wouldn't have noticed because he was so distracted. I appreciate how careful they treated my son while offering excellent customer service and professionalism. They really made the process easy for both of us. Don't use Google Maps for directions because it will take you to the wrong area. Instead, look for the large number 7 in front of a building. read more

Took my son for his first appt to see Dr. Varghese. My son was a bit nervous as it was his first time, but the staff were very welcoming and understanding. They gave him some stickers as a reward from his favorite show after getting some x rays done and he was thrilled! Dr. Varghese and her staff were very thorough and talked me and my son through everything including what to look out for and how to prevent certain things. First visit to this office specifically looking for general anesthesia for my 7y/o due to severe work to be done. Dr. Varghese was AMAZING and the assistant Jan made us feel so welcome! My problem lays in the transparency of the fees. I have called multiple offices and asked for the specific service my child need. They NEVER told us that general anesthesia procedures are booked until January. (Jan offer to keep us in mind for a cancellation) Also for procedure needing GENERAL SEDATION there is a FEE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE OF 500 dollars. There's no reason for this information to be withhold from parents when you asked for the specific procedures over the phone. Is a classic sales tactics and is so unprofessional when the answer for hiding this information is "thats our policy". You do not need to know in fact if your child will need that specific service to be aware of the cost and it feels like this information was "hidden" until last minute intentionally. You are expected to PAY IN FULL in order for your child to be SCHEDULED. Healthcare is a business we all know that, but that for me is outrageous. (cause like mentioned they don't let you know before hand) We are going back because my kid really need this treatment but I want to make sure other parents out there are aware of this issues. Parents beware of this place. I was sold on the child friendly paintings, the cartoons, how comforting they were to my 2 year old son who is now almost 4, but today was a major disappointment. I was disappointed in myself last year for my 2 year old at the time to have 3 cavities before the age of three, but we took care of them in about 7 visits and a lot of money because that's what the doctor recommended. Today, we were told he has another 4 cavities totaling 7 cavities before the age or 4. I had his X-rays sent to our family dentist who we have been seeing for years and he only has 2 extremely small cavities that don't even require laughing gas or a numbing shot. I had other words typed out, but deciding to leave the feelings aside. So here are just the facts, but hopefully our experience can save other children's healthy teeth. read more

I sort of stumbled across this pediatric dentistry back in 2006 when I was looking for a new dentist for the kids. I originally called them up to make an appointment with the previous pediatric dentist, but found he retired and sold his practice to a Denise Fisher. So, off we went and we have NEVER BEEN disappointed with Dr. Fisher. She has since taken on two more pediatrict dentists, Dr. Vargas and Dr. Dhaliwal. The kids have seen Dr. Vargas more frequently and we've really enjoyed her friendly demeanor and willingness to answer questions about our kids' dental health. I'd totally recommend this practice to any parents looking for a great pediatric dentist. They have two locations, one in Hoffman Estates and one in Chicago. Their waiting room has an array of toys, doll house, and a TV showing a kids friendly movie while we wait. Also, they have TV monitors at each dental station so, it keeps the kids engaged as the dentists work on their teeth. Very cool! Fun dentistry at its best!! read more

I first brought my daughter here when she was a year and 5 months old. We love our pediatrician but she didn't tell us first-time parents about this. We realized it when she kept having high fevers and then her gums started bleeding! I'm so glad I going this place. Her gums immediately stopped bleeding and she rarely gets sick now. At her first visit, we were taught how to brush her teeth. Literally since that day, she has had her teeth brushed twice per day.
