Since posting my review, I've gone back & forth answering Dr. Radin's emails... I've seen inaccuracies in the details in his emails and in his posted response.
1.) I was a new customer who came in with a broken veneer. When I received the quote I questioned his staff on the accuracy - I even stated that I would have thought they would have covered the chair side version & not the veneer. When questioning the quote, I was assured that the quote the staff provided was based on an actual conversation with my insurance company & that it was correct.
2.) I had a broken veneer, I wanted it fixed soon. But, I didn't proclaim that I needed it fixed immediately & that I didn't want to wait for a quote from my insurance company. As stated, Dr. Radin's staff assured me that the information that I was provided was based on an actual conversation with my insurance company & that the information was correct. With that - why would I think I should wait for their office to get a "REAL" quote - they claimed they already got the quote???? I think his staff probably called my insurance & then filled out the written estimate entering the quote for the veneer under the chair side version section & entering the quote for the chair side version under the veneer section, which cost me a lot of money. And the person who made this mistake didn't want to admit their mistake.
3.) As for my complaints... The complaints went on for weeks. Prior to receiving the bill I complained to his staff about the tooth being too dark & misshaped. I received no resolution from his staff regarding those complaints. After I received the bill my complaints changed to ADD the fact that I was misquoted which caused me to choose a porcelain veneer instead of a chair side version & essentially caused me to pay a lot more money. I also complained about the damage that Dr. Radin caused to my bottom tooth by his proactively deciding to reshape the bottom tooth. After he damaged my bottom tooth he stopped scrapping it & stated that when I wanted to get that tooth fixed (would have needed a crown) he would give me a discount due to his damaging it. When I was complaining to his staff I did state that given that I would not be having Dr. Radin perform any more dental work on me that I should get a reduction on my bill (for the top tooth veneer) due to the damage that Dr. Radin caused to my bottom tooth (that he offered to fix at a reduced rate).
4.) At no point was I told that they would replace the veneer that Dr. Radin did at no charge....The letter dated April 12, 2012 states "I would like to schedule an appointment with you and Dr. Radin to resolve the issue with the bottom tooth." That letter is clearly related to the bottom tooth that Dr. Radin damaged, not the top tooth (veneer). I can provide a copy of the April 12, 2014 letter - it states nothing about replacing the top veneer for free as Dr. Radin's response to my review states.
5.) On 4/13/12, 69 days after I got the veneer from Dr. Radin I had a different dentist remove Dr. Radin's veneer and replace it with a new chair side version. I wouldn't have had his veneer that cost me $1,175 removed 69 days later if I had been happy with it. The was too dark & misshaped -it looked horrible. Dr. Radin's veneer went on 2/14/12 & it was removed on 4/23/12. Proof of getting this work done on that tooth can be provided (copy of the bill and the written quote from my insurance company).
6.) Dr. Radin and I have exchanged emails recently - in his last email he states: "I have tried to be responsive, but when I clearly asked your what your preferred resolution would be, you dodged the question. Communication is a two way process." In the multiple recent emails with Dr. Radin I thought I provided him information regarding my experience, I feel that the information that he had in his records was inaccurate and lacking. I don't think I dodged the question - I don't understand why he'd ask me that question. He the owner, not me. So, to answer his question now... Given that I don't want him to perform any dental work on me then the resolution now would be for him to reimburse me 50% of what I paid for the veneer (top tooth) + 50% of the estimated damage done to my bottom tooth. I'll guess that the amount of damage he caused to my bottom tooth was $200. I feel that all of this is on the low end (veneers usually last more than 5 years). So, the resolution would be for Dr. Radin to reimburse me $687.50 (50% * ($1,175 + $200).
Let me know if any further questions or if you would like me to forward documentation.
Thanks,
