This review is being written from the only place that truly allows for deep reflection--the toilet. It's currently 3 AM, and I have been awake for an hour battling what can only be described as a Category 5 stomach hurricane. The culprits? Unclear. The suspects? Few. But the only thing that separates me from the rest of my dining companions--who are all sleeping peacefully, blissfully unaware of my struggle--is that I, and I alone, ordered the pork. Now, let's be fair. The pork was delicious. Tender, smoky, beautifully seasoned--it practically melted in my mouth. Unfortunately, a few hours later, it's now melting something else. My friends, who stuck to chicken and brisket, are resting comfortably in their beds, their stomachs unscathed, while I am sitting here contemplating my life choices. I have now been on this toilet for so long that my feet fell asleep and woke back up. That's right--my lower half has been through its own full sleep cycle while the rest of me continues to wage war with the forces of digestion. At this point, I don't know if I need a doctor, an exorcist, or just a firm handshake from the pitmaster to acknowledge their undeniable power over my gastrointestinal system. Would I eat at One and Only again? Absolutely. Would I order the pork again? Also yes--because I am a fool, and I refuse to learn from my mistakes. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there is something wrong with the order. The ONLY reason I continue patronizing them is the BBQ is really good. Today I went to pick up food for the family. I ordered 3 lbs of chicken, 1 pound of smoked sausage and 1 pound of pork. I always check my order before leaving and always find something wrong. When the server gave me the chicken I thought to myself that it felt light. I get home and pull out my kitchen scale. It is about 2.1 pounds. Mind you it is in a container so it was actually less than that. I decide to weigh the rest and the smoked sausage is not a pound. I am furious. I don't have money to GIVE to One & Only. I ordered the Smoked Sausage Platter. I'm dissatisfied because the sausage were cold like they literally took them out the refrigerator! I live less than 5 minutes from this location. Also, the pickle spears and cheese were placed on top of the sausage, which probably made it cold. I doubt that did it because the sausage had no heat in them and literally felt and tasted cold. Also, why would the cook place packaged crackers inside the box on top of the food! Those packages have germs all over it, but yet they put it ON TOP OF THE FOOD...DISGUSTING!!!!! I absolutely love this place!! I usually always go through the drive thru to pick up my food but my mother and I went in to eat today. The food is always delicious but did not know how friendly and loving their staff is!! ! I was injured last year that resulted to me now being a wheelchair user. Why are the ribs always so tough? I bought a slab thinking it was a onetime issue. They are consistently tough we work in the office building behind them and its a known problem. The taste is great they just need to cook them slower and longer. Multiple reviews mention it. read more

I'm a Barbcue enthusiast. I have never eaten here before so I decided to try it out with my family. I got a pulled pork BBQ sandwich & Ribs. I found the ribs to be nice and juicy but not fall off the bome tender. But still awesome. It still came out well cooked and hot with very great sides. I really love their potato salad which was rightly spiced & other ingredients are proportionate. I love the variety of barbecue sauces. Which are perfect of you like hot mild or have a craving for another favor. The presentation of my meal wasn't bad but I think it can be improved. Otherwise this has been quite a fun little experience. I also love their customer service friendly face polite & helpful with my order. I also enjoyed their banana pudding for dessert. The Mac n Cheese was freakin good. I don't normally put sauce on my meat, but here in Memphis, it's a must. They use mild wood to smoke with and all of the meat is dry which commands bbq sauce. Once we got there it was a 10-15 minute before we got our table, but that gave us time to review the menu.
