This is a great date night spot. They have lots to do pool tables, giant jenga, cards and connect four. The bathroom was clean, and the vibe was on point. The music was legit and we really enjoyed ourselves. They had a decent selection of alcohol to choose from. I decided to partake in the Hookah and it was fairly priced with lots of flavors. This place has gone down hill. And they don't care! Posted all over social media they'd be open at 6 PM. We pull up @ 6:30... Garage door down, lights off & no one in sight. We send a message. No response. Just before 7, guy pulls up looks at us then goes in. One of us goes in to see if they're about to open. Guy tells her they're closed & they won't open until he, alone, sets up. Real chill place. They don't pick up the phone but that's cool. I showed up and enjoyed myself. Red has great customer service. Food was real good. This place is Ass! I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and when it came out 54 minutes later I asked the bartender was it mine because it looked like a pulled pork sandwich on hamburger buns. It had bbq sauce on it lol. Taste like a sloppy joe. Music was Ass. Vibe was Ass. It's honestly like a hole in the wall I'll take a chick to that I was cheating with and didn't want to be seen! This bar has a lot of potential. It's in a cool location downtown, but unfortunately, downtown isn't really a happenin' part of Jackson right now. That said, I've never had a particularly great time here. It's a decent sized bar, with a huge dance floor, tons of seating and pool tables. I've gone for ladies night, which is a GREAT deal for ladies since we both get in and drink for free until midnight! (It's a great but also dangerous deal, you know?) The DJs are usually pretty good, playing mostly hits that everyone wants to dance to. The bartenders aren't rude, but aren't particularly friendly either. I just never feel like I'm in a "cool" place when I'm here. There isn't anything particularly special about it, and the crowd is always a bit dull. Like I said, this place has a lot of potential but it needs to work on its image a little. It's not a place I ever immediately think of when I plan a night out even though I love going downtown. I'd love for this place to develop a bit more and become a staple of Jackson nightlife! read more

Okay so first off: they need more staff. Period. It's not fair at all to the poor stressed out bartender girl literally having a mental break down behind the bar because people are coming at her from all angles. I guess they didn't know how to handle the crowd. Second: they have a deal; 125 spent on a tab gets you a free shirt. We spent way over that and could I get a shirt? No. I couldn't. It was busy so I understand. But as a tourist I really wanted a shirt. Third: the bathrooms. A lock on the door would be nice. I don't even care about the two people having sex in there I just want a lock on the door. I'm sure they would feel that way too. All in all your regular dive bar. I came in one night when needing to get a bite to eat after a 2 hour car ride to see Lucero at Martin's. Most food options were closed and I heard they had burgers at this nearby bar. I honestly wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised how good the burger was. I got it with cheese and bacon,m. It was big, but not too big. The temperature was cooked to order. I went there last night because as unbelievable as is it sounds it was the only place in downtown Jackson open late, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Leslie, the bartender, was great! She made it very welcoming to about the only non-regular which was nice and sadly unusual for a dive bar like this. The owner even came around introducing himself and talking to people. The food I had was also an unexpected bonus, especially the grilled chicken sandwich. The pretzel bun with honey mustard, Monterey Jack and a nice juicy breast was a 10! Can't say I am looking forward to getting back to Jackson, but when I do I will be back to hang out here. read more

So I visited during the holidays, so it was pretty dead but the music was old hip hop and r&b from my college days...99s and 2000s. Lol the bartender was super friendly, but the selection was limited. They didn't even have a drink menu, so I just had her surprise me...the drink was a good one and the price was even better! The food selection was the basic drink ppl eats, but they didn't have any of the things we wanted to order in stock so that sucked. The dance floor was wide, but maybe because no one was on it...I chair swayed most of the night. They have really cool trivia games you can compete against anyone in the building from your phone! That was pretty fun.... I can't remember the bathrooms, but I know it was a small college bar looking bathroom, nothing fancy. The parking could get tricky if you park on the street, but I think there was more parking options behind the building that we missed.
