I am an idiot for not checking reviews first. I purchased event insurance from the website. The money was IMMEDIATELY taken from my account. I did not receive a COI. I called the next day and an Indian man named Khaleel (sp?) answered claiming he is the manager and said they cannot insure my event and will refund me. I told him that taking my money without providing what I purchased is illegal, and if I don't receive my refund within 24 hours I will be reporting them for fraud. He simply said "Okay." If the money is not in my account by tomorrow I'll be calling the bank and reporting them as fraudulent. read more

Website is misleading. You'll pay for your quote and not hear anything for weeks unless you call, daily. They will promise email communication, follow ups, etc and nada. Then when you bug them enough the big man will call and give some bullshit reason, to include fabrications, of why they can't cover you. Receptionist, Erin, is passive aggressive, annoyed that you're calling and clearly bored with the conversation as she yawns and sighs with questions. Obviously she is just there to answer phones, and has no control of whatever scam they have going on over there, but a little more honesty from a company that advertises almost immediate coverage would be appreciated. I rarely take time to write reviews but don't fall for this like I did thinking the previous negative reviews were historic. This place is a complete waste of time. They did issue a refund and it is showing up on my statement but not worth the mental energy I devoted over almost 3 weeks. Found another carrier for coverage without any problem. Stay away. (Also google their address...that will give you more clues as to how legitimate this place is). Eventsured was way more professional and happy to chat/assist. I had a host book a concert at my venue. They put in an application with One Day Event. After giving them all the info, he never heard back from them! Fortunately, he was able to purchase from someone through my broker. Then I had another booking apply with them. We waited and waited for the COI. I called, and they said they had emailed me for the performers' names. They hadn't! I had the host send the info to them. No response, so I called got VM and left a message. No callback, so I called again, and the woman (Erin?) sounded totally flustered. She had me hold for a while and then said she'd call me back. Finally, I get an email saying they're canceling the insurance!!! This is now the day before. I hope I can salvage this booking with another company. "Unprofessional" should have One Day Event as part of the definition. Best look elsewhere if you value your time and your money! read more

OMG-I just spent literally HOURS on the phone trying to get a one-day event certificate of insurance for a company picnic....after being transferred and hung up on, voice-mailed, useless emails, yadda yadda, I came across this insurance broker online....filled out the app-had a question, submitted the unfinished app....hit submit and got a call from this company. I wish I could remember his name....within minutes...boom....had EXACTLY what I wanted and needed for my event. My supervisor is so happy that I got it done so quickly. please do not do business with this company. Poor customer service, poor follow up. I called this company everyday for a week asking someone to get back to me to insure a private event. Once I finally got someone to get to back, I promised several things, none of which where actually delivered. The owner ( Zain ) is extremely rude, and demeaning. and only communicates via email. When I finally realized they did not want my business, I cancelled the contract via a conversation with the owner ( Zain ) and was promised a refund. When I asked for confirmation of this refund via email,I received an email directly from him and I was told " I said no such thing, and you will not be receiving a refund" I ended up having to find a vendor at the last minute in order to keep my client happy, and have a successful event take place. please stay FAR away from these guys, and their un-fair business practices and scams. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I needed one day event insurance and the broker did NOT come through, did not return my phone calls, just left myself, elected officials, and 250 people hanging. The venue had to be moved at last minute because the broker would not answer my phone messages, texts, or emails. Absolutely terrible service. This is the first time I have ever rated on YELP and feel the need to do so because of what happened. I would NEVER recommend this company! If you decide to go with them, just know the following: your policy will be more expensive than ANY other broker, they will charge you an arm and a leg for broker's fees, and if you need customer service you will be S.O.L. This is a highly shady practice. Tried to go through these guys for event insurance for my business. I was given a quote via email with a link to pay online, and after paying it, tried to get a hold of someone at the company for WEEKS to follow up about when I would be receiving the insurance binder, confirmation of the policy, etc. I feel I went above and beyond in trying to access someone at the company for a response, and after the first week started to become suspicious that this was a scam. I left three separate messages warning that I would dispute the charge on my credit card if I did not receive a response, and that is what I ended up doing after nobody got back to me. Don't do business with these guys -- still not sure if they're a full-on scam, but either way they certainly don't care about their customers, or fulfilling their end of the deal! read more

I think this is one of the worst experience I ever had. I had an insurance plan which was supposed to be filed and handled by g1g. But even after making payment for 2 months insurance, I did not receive Dental plan card. I tried to get info from actual insurance company portal with my details, then I get an error that there is no such entry found. I asked about details on this to contact person from G1G, and did not receive any replies. I don't think they understand any responsibility to reply to the customer requests. I had to postpone my Dr appointment 3 time, and still I am waiting for replies. And if something goes wrong I will be in real trouble. First off, there was a girl that I used to handle all my events through, she was always very professional, nice, and prompted me on time. Recently, I called in and one of the head "hanchos" told me she had been "fired" and that they would be helping me. Why would they even tell me she was "fired" and not just say she was no longer with the company? Go figure, right? Highest turn around rate I have ever heard of. If the way he treats his clients is any way he treats his employees, then I sure as hell don't blame them for leaving. Secondly, I was lied to and never helped. I got charged my 140 dollars for the wedding happening at the venue and NEVER received my certificate of insurance. I am still waiting for my refund and its been about a month.
