I haven't been here in a while but I'm trying to research scones for my London trip. The best research is food research of course. I came here at the end of the day around 4pm. They had more scone flavors than I expected. They had blueberry, rhubarb, and chocolate chip. I asked which scone flavor was the best and the cashier said blueberry. It did look the best so I went with the recommendation. The cashier ended giving me 3 scones which was so nice! Told me to report back which one I liked the most. Food: My favorite item here is the cheddar scallion scone. I was a bit disappointed when I got it the most recent time because it was cold (out of the refrigerator) and seemed a bit left over. I'm not sure if they warm up pastries and baked items for customers but it's worth asking. Their hot chai latte is also very good. Service: Staff are friendly and welcoming. Ambiance: This is a small shop in Industry City with no seating. There is a general seating area right outside of their shop that is a part of Industry City. Great pastries here, definitely on the pricier side but after trying two different pastries I'd say they are worth it. I ordered (1) hibiscus blackberry danish and (1) chai cream danish. Flavors were subtle but present. Real fruit in the blackberry danish. Pastry was flaky and tasty but not overly buttery. I preferred the chai cream danish as it was creamy, had warm spices but wasn't overwhelming. Just delicious and perfectly balanced pastries. I wish they would warm them up as I'm sure they would have been better warmed up but they were good nonetheless. read more

Colson Bakery is my latest find and addiction. I'm not going to be happy until I try all the scones and delicious pastries. They deliver to my local coffee shops and my favorite coffee shop bakery. The prices are higher than most pastries but they're worth a try. The unusual flavor combinations are what attracts me. I rarely ever saw Rhubarb Scones and these are delicious. First they had a traditional scone shape but the last ones I purchased were round scones. Some other flavors are Oat Cherry Corn Scone. Yeah three tastes in one scone! Apple Cheddar is an interesting combination. I like the Chocolate Chip and Blueberry too. The dough is very flavorful. The scones and rolls taste great heated in the toaster oven in the morning. If you are near a Colson patisserie I recommend you try the pastry. Otherwise do as I do and find them at your local bakery or coffee shop! Ask the employees who supplies their pastries. Twice recently I've been told Colson Bakery. I'm recommending you know who makes your meal! I'm also recommending Colson. read more

I came in because i needed a drink and breakfast. I waited in line and the line moved pretty fast. The staff member was so friendly and helpful in picking items. I got an iced mocha and an ice matcha drink. The drinks were both great. The mocha was chocolaty and the matcha was sweet but was still a bit powdery. I got a apple galette which was so sweet buttery and flaky. It was an amazing dessert. I always love oatmeal raisin cookies and theirs was soft floopy and perfect in every way. This is my favorite oatmeal raisin cookie that i wish i get this recipe to make on my own. The place is cute and small. They dont have any indoor seating but since its in the industry city you dont have to walk far to find a seat. I have to come back if only for the oatmeal raisin cookie! read more

Located in the heart of Industry City, luckily I found out about this coffee shop. It was packed when I arrived and figured it had amazing coffee. I got a medium iced latte with skim milk and I tasted the pure quality of the roasted coffee beans. The aroma was on point. Not watered down at all. They have a lot of pastries and cold cuts besides a set of coffee and drinks. Very hip and modern. There's no seating inside the shop so you have to resort to seating elsewhere inside Industry City. read more

Lovely bakery conveniently located within Industry City. Every time I pass by this building in the courtyard, it always smells like delicious baked goods. I like how in the evening you can see the staff prepping for the baked goods through their windows. They have a good selection considering how small their store front looks like. The line does go by pretty quick so don't be intimidated if you do see a line out the store. read more

The shop is small and only has two small tables inside with additional seating outside. Has a great selection of pastries with a good amount of vegan options too. Went for a matcha latte which was made well. I actually prefer another shop a few blocks down for my matcha latte. I'd stop by again though. Love their iced coffees and scones. I usually come because they open before other bakeries in the area so definitely great when I am in a scheduling crunch. A small coffee is $3.50 and their scones are $4. I wish they had more business, but this is on Floor 1, but all the one in the back of the block of Building 6? I believe. I often stop by industry city after work and get enticed by the perfect buttery smell that fills the whole place. But this spot is always closed by the time I get there, they close by 5 pm. Finally I stopped by on my off day. There were so many delicious looking pastries and I didn't know what to choose, so I did take a while to decide. Staff were very nice and patient, very friendly and welcoming, definitely makes getting coffee and pastries here a delight. I ended up getting an almond chocolate pastry and latte. The latte was in a very small cup, but it was really good. The pastry was very good also, I want to keep coming back to try every item at least once! read more

They list their ingredients: "It is packed with toasted rolled oats, sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, chopped pecan, dried cranberries, and black raisin, baked to golden brown perfection with hints of maple syrup and honey." What is unique about Colson's granola is that the oats are toasted to perfection, not soft, clumped together, or undercooked like many others. The smell of the buttery pastries will make you salivate profusely & lure you to their shop (which it did!) It definitely lured my sister & I to this shop ASAP. We tried their vegan muffins (blueberry & carrot raisin) which were sooooo delicious. It was super moist & not too sweet/heavy (which I prefer). While a majority of the options in the area lead to intense food comas, I like to grab their prepared salads or the occasional panini for my sad desk lunch. I like the chicken avocado with a side of lemon olive oil dressing. Made fresh daily. My last take out lunch was the porchetta panini on ciabatta. This patisserie is incredible and I understand when I see a line in the morning. The coffees are exceptional, from iced cold brew to lattes and cappuccinos, they make the best with whatever milk you prefer, forget Starbucks and try this place. The baked goods are all delicious and you can see how incredibly they are made in the bakery next door. Awful. First time I tried anything from this place was a few years ago. It was a savory scone from what I remember but it was so dry, I just ended up picking at it before throwing it away. Recently my work place ordered a bunch of breakfast pastries and from this company. Tried the scone again, it was still awful. I heard if you nuked it in the microwave, I would taste better but that shouldn't even have to happen for product that's supposedly freshly made. read more

Iced americano and the cherry gosette are my go to at this Industry City favorite coffee shop. The pastries have that buttery Paris confection quality that makes me come back. In the mornings their oatmeal with fruit and the croissants are a blessing with americano or latte. Their salads are also just the right side of protein and greens for lunch. read more

It's... - flakey on the exterior and squishy on the interior - sweet but not too sweet - has ultra buttery contents, and - oh gosh....that almond paste. Colson offers affordable and straight forward coffee and food, which is exactly what is severely lacking otherwise in this fake college campus of a workspace. You want just a plain salad? Bam.
