He got their breakfast casserole for a $2 up charge and the waitress said "oh, good choice," so we were both excited to see what that was going to be like. I ordered the grits with cheese. Our food came out in a timely manner and we enjoyed our coffee while we waited. The staff were great about keeping our mugs filled at all times. The food was served and I really enjoyed the crab cakes Benedict. The grits were just ok. Even with the cheese and butter, salt and pepper I added it was just bland. My husband liked his omelette. We tried each others and I think my pick won out. I will say his breakfast casserole was delicious! It had so much flavor. Definitely worth paying the extra couple bucks for imo. My friends all commented they enjoyed their food. They had some breakfast sandwiches and egg meals. We liked that they brought our check with a seashell on top. I'd asked the server what Florida lobster dishes they offered and the prices. She said they had two -- lobster bites and a lobster tail. I order the tail with sweet potato fries as my side. When the meal came, I saw that what was delivered was NOT fresh Florida lobster. The manager (?) told me they hadn't pulled the traps yet and didn't have any Florida lobster -- which was strange as it was almost a week into the season and their two ads touted it. Anyhow, he suggested the snapper instead and I chose the coconut yellowtail sandwich from their specials. This was barely edible -- over fried, over cooked, and dried out. I took only a couple bites and coins t even eat the rest. Meanwhile, my husband had ordered the cracked conch appetizer. We've had this all over Florida (he's a native) and in the Carribean. This version was quite different. It had large square pieces of conch in a heavy fried batter. I would not recommend this dish, either.
