Suzanne was terrific with my "autistic" dog that doesn't have very good skills with taking a walk. The cats are happy as long as they get fed, so it was the dog I was most concerned with. I came home to a nice little note reporting how things went during my time away and a request for me to let her know I got home safe and sound, a nice personal touch! Her skills as a doula come into play in her photography as she is able to get a baby absolutely calm and sleeping like a little cherub in photos. She is able to bring a complete photo studio into your house as well, even in small rooms like my nursery in a modest townhouse. While she definitely has experience and her vision, she is always happy to incorporate any ideas you may have and make sure that you get the photos that you'll cherish forever. I had a spur of the moment idea to incorporate some fresh flowers into our photos and she delivered the concept beautifully. She takes stunning photos! I have so many memorable and lovely pictures thanks to Cécile: family photos, pregnancy shots, and newborn pictures. Each time we've done a photo shoot together she has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She is patient, talented, understanding, experienced, and so passionate about her work. She is great with kids. We've done shoots at different locations, both indoor and out, and I have always been impressed with the outcome. She knows her stuff - how best to take advantage of natural landscape and lighting, how to work with artificial lighting, and how to pose her subjects in order to get the most flattering result. Of course these kinds of things should be common knowledge for all photographers, but having worked with a not so great photographer I really appreciated the depth of her knowledge and skill. Working with her was an epiphany; each time she would tell me to bend my knee a little more or position my hand a certain way, I found myself thinking "Oh, so this is what a really great photographer does!!" And I have the results to prove it! I was particularly impressed with her work during my newborn photo shoot. She was so patient, tender, and gentle - it takes a special kind of person to work with babies, as they are never still or quiet when you'd like them to be. It took hours to get my little one in a deep enough sleep to get the posed photos taken; I felt so bad for Cécile but she didn't miss a beat! She was upbeat and positive and reassured me that it was not unusual at all for this to happen. She never once complained. And she had such a wonderful selection of hats, blankets, and accessories - it was very hard to choose, but she also gave great advice as to what items worked well together. Before using House 'n Animal Nanny, we attempted to take our dog to various kennels, but we had so many bad experiences (e.g., dog came home with fleas and flea bites; unclean; stressed out and would be exhausted). With House 'n Animal Nanny, we can keep our dog in an environment she's comfortable with. We hire House 'n Animal Nanny to visit her 3 times a day while we're gone, to take her for a 1/2-hour walk, and to feed her twice a day. They are happy to tailor the regime to your specifications.
