Stumbled upon this shop as my first stop while visiting Downtown Columbus. It is nestled off inside a business building, with ample seating for a modern coffeehouse feel. Apricot Almond (seasonal in-house syrup) Latte was great! Not too sweet which is how I prefer. We also ordered the Kyoto Cold Brew which was packed with flavor! I love that they have this location downtown. It's located in a tall building and behind the escalators. We almost didn't see it. From the lobby, you really only see Einstein Bros and Zoup. Anyway, it wasn't all that busy here when we came around 2:30 ish on a Friday. There are only three long tables, but I can imagine people just do grab and go or they sit and chat for a few minutes. The baristas are still hipsters and pretty nice like at the main location in Short North. It's a little out of the way for me to come here unless I'm already downtown. Still, I'm glad it's down here. I was visiting Columbus and was looking for good quality coffee to keep me up (especially when adjusting from the west coast time difference) and trusty Yelp led me to this location. I actually was going crazy because my phone maps kept on saying I was here and I couldn't find the coffee. This joint is actually located inside the hotel looking building between the Zoups and Einstein. As far as the atmosphere goes, they have a long bar-style table so this place would probably be better for a quick chat or coffee date. I tried the honey latte which I heard was highly recommended and now I can officially recommend it too! Sometimes lattes can get too sweet, but the latte was a perfect combination of caffeine and flavor. The latte was made with raw ingredients and I loved every second of it. The shop offers a wide variety of hot and cold coffees, teas, specialty drinks and fresh pastries at the same delicious quality you find in their Short North store. They typically offer 2-3 daily coffee brews originating from various parts of Central/South America, Africa and Asia, which is a fun way to sample robust flavor profiles from different regions of the world. The baristas here are also so welcoming and fun! They really take the time to engage their customers and you can instantly sense they love their products. They've got a nice little seating section which is great for quick meetings or for an afternoon caffeine break. I love this shop and would definitely recommend making a stop here if you're downtown on a weekday. read more

For what I need this coffee shop for - it serves its purpose perfectly. Working in a cubicle in another building attached via the underground, it's a great place to meet up for a short, informal conversation. It's got the wifi going on, great view of people coming and going from all angles, and I always seem to find a seat if I need one. As for the coffee, it's always very good. Definitely better than the K cup I can make at the office. The prices - they're OK. More than a Tim Horton's but probably in line with Starbucks. They have a gift card which I've loaded and I like the convenience of not having to carry cash or credit card - it also makes it simpler to buy when I'm treating others. They tend to say yes more easily when it's a gift card you're using - not knowing I paid for it myself. Today my visit was for one single purpose - to pick up a Coffee Trail punch card. Since I often find myself wanting to try new coffee shops while needing to work remotely, I thought I'd at least try some new ones which will also get me a t-shirt. 1) i am so sad I am JUST finding out this coffee shop exists. It's so close to work and in a convenient location (right by a bus stop) so it's truly just a short ride away. They also have frozen drinks and didn't make me feel ridiculous for not ordering a black coffee (sometimes you just want a fancy sugary coffee, don't judge!) 2) it's on the coffee trail! Yay! Such a fun place! A friend & I came here around 8 one night to do some online work. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, and you could tell they were super passionate about their coffee! We found out they develop their own recipes for the specialty coffee drinks! I ordered a decaf cappuccino. Having worked as a barista, I know how hard it can be to pull a high-quality decaf espresso shot, but they did a GREAT job. My milk was steamed perfectly, and it was just the right amount for a late-night drink. My friend ordered one of the specials, which had carbonated water/espresso/juniper syrup/lime...sounds super strange, but it was quite refreshing and very interesting. She enjoyed it, and it definitely gave her the caffeine buzz she was looking for! Great interior, kind staff, and high quality coffee...what more do you need?! :) read more

Listen. I'll be honest in that I used to go to this place because I thought one of the baristas was cute but she no longer works there. It's a hipster coffee place so expect that, despite the fact that it's in a bank headquarters. That's fine. The coffee your typical hipster fare so that's fine as well. What I didn't expect was the pretentious hipster attitude. Like I said, I don't really frequent this establishment anymore and I am about to take a massive dump on the service I received today but this far from a hit piece on the place. I actually liked the people that worked there before. They were nice and asked me how my day was. They laughed at my bad jokes and always complimented me on my ties. I like that! But let me tell you about my visit today. I go up and ask the lady for a "number 3" as they only ever offer 3 given choices at any given time. The board lists them in top to bottom and I indicated that I wanted the last one on the list because THATS HOW ORDINAL NUMBERS WORK. NUMBER THREEEEEEE! Ok so usually I would do this and previous people would laugh it off or make a McDonalds joke or whatever. This particular lady quips back at me, "what is the country of origin of the coffee?" I'm dumbfounded. I didn't even notice that at all. I sit there with my wallet in my hand for a good 10 seconds before I'm able barely squeak out the word "Uganda". "That's how we order coffee here", she bellies back at me. I wish I could italicize that quote if I could, but I'll simply repeat, "THAT'S HOW WE ORDER COFFEE HERE". Sprinkle some of that aforementioned hipster attitude and that's what I got. I shot her the biggest "F you" look I've ever put on in my life and didn't say a word for the rest of the transaction. I'm a nice guy and she made me do this. I didn't choose to scowl like that but she brought that reaction upon herself. "They're not numbered," she jawed at me. Ok I'm leaving. I'm giving this place one more star than they deserve for the off chance they'll bring back the old crew. Also, as I'm drinking the coffee now it's no bad. Same great One Line Coffee as the Short North -- but inside the Huntington Center downtown! Once you're in the building, walk behind the escalators on the first floor and find the most adorable One Line. There are even a smattering of seats if you want to hang out for a bit. The staff is really awesome and helpful -- and they make some super tasty drinks. One Line roasts my favorite coffee in the city, and the honey latte is heaven. Seriously, get it. This location also carries some tasty treats from the best bakeries -- like Destination Donuts and Pattycake. Tip: there's a Yelp check-in offer on a cup of coffee! read more

One Line gets right down to business. If you are true coffee head, this is one of your primary destinations (also Brioso and Fox and Snow). I appreciate that this place is less about hype and more about quality. Forget WiFi and cushy seats, this place delivers the best beans in the world crafted by master roasters. They also use a LaMarzocco Strada and know how to use it. One of only a handful of cafes in Columbus can do that. My picks: Any of the South American beans, Kyoto cold brew, or a macchiato from the barista. read more

I've been dropping by the downtown One Line since its second day open, tipped off by a fellow coffee drinker/seeker in my office. My initial review is actually posted in the Short North location's page. I've moved offices and luckily, I'm even closer to this One Line location. Excellent coffee, well-prepared. The staff know their coffees and preparations, and respect their customers' knowledge base either basic or expert. I'm a big fan of their iced coffee - like the Red Bull of cold brew. It's almost a waste to fritter that energy away at work! I'll gladly pay a premium for excellent joe. Glad One Line is here to serve. read more

The One Line in short north is great - it's got its quirks and special attitude, but its fantastic coffee and interesting coffee drinks. The new Huntington location just opened last month, replacing the Caribou/Peet's that's behind the escalators on the first floor. The styling of thew new spot is fantastic - love the new bar, the simple white tiling, and the open counter. Very modern, very functional. One Line has three drip options daily, rotating based on availability, in a range of light and dark roasts. Each one is listed with tasting notes, which I've found to be spot on. $2.50 for a large, and it's always raging hot. Also available: cold brew (by the bottle, too!), teas, pour-over, coffee-drinks like cappuccinos and honey lattes. Destination Donuts provides their baby-head-sized donuts (I got a Guinness flavored one today), and Angry Baker provides giant scones. All reasonably priced. The best part - the staff is incredibly friendly, not pretentious in the least, and efficient. Great addition to the downtown coffee scene. read more

How does One Line only have four reviews so far? The proximity of this coffee shop to my office has basically changed my life, for the better (obviously-can't ever have too much good caffeine). Excellent coffee, that's locally roasted, at a great price point, and served with a smile? Can't beat it. The Guatemala La Bolsa is one of my favorite coffees when they do offer it brewed; it's light and fruity and caramel-ey and overall delicious. I do wish that this location offered more food options in addition to the donuts/pastries. Would love some to-go sandwiches/savory snacks from other local purveyors. read more

Really nice set up. All the tools to be an excellent coffee shop. Because of being in an office building the setting is a little tough to get anything done but I don't think it is designed to that end. My only dissatisfaction is that I believe the person making the coffee was far less careful and cared far less about the coffee then she could have. They have all the equipment to be a really cool artisan coffee shop yet have very little concern for making the coffee great. Probably has everything to do with how rapidly people moved through that coffee shop on the way to the office. read more
