I had one of the most disappointing retail experiences at this store. I came in with authentic designer shoes, only to be met with rude, judgmental treatment from the owner, Chris. Without offering any clear reason or explanation, she accused my shoes of being fake. I found this deeply insulting, especially as I later went out of my way to get them professionally authenticated and even contacted the original store to verify my purchase with the receipt. Though she took them to check them out or do whatever fake research which was really to waste my time and tell me to " look around", she came to me didn't even let me come back to the counter and aggressively handed and disrespectfully handed the shoes with box and said how much at first then responded in a racist manner of saying they weren't real. The audacity and nerve of this woman took me by surprise. As a business owner myself, I would never treat a customer with the dismissive and condescending attitude I received here. Instead of professionalism, I was met with hostility and a lack of respect. Sad part as well, she didn't know who I actually was and following and connections I could've helped with her business. God and Karma works in mysterious ways though, so it will be dealt with.What makes this worse is that I could have been a loyal, returning customer, but after this encounter, I will never step foot in this store again. I'd give the clothing store of One More Time 3.5 stars, if half stars were possible. They have a pretty large store in Grandview with multiple rooms, and they are one of the few consignment stores that offers men's clothing. The section is small, but many secondhand stores in the area don't have men's. You can find anything from Nike and Adidas to Burberry here which I love. They also have a large selection of jewelry on the walls. They have some shoes in the room to the right along with hats. The front room has a wide selection of clothing and miscellaneous items, the middle room has mostly athletic apparel, and the back room has their clearance and fitting rooms. I don't often find more than a few things, but I don't need much. read more

You can find a lot of hidden gems at One More Time, but you do have to be in the mood to browse through lots of duds. I find their pricing better than other consignment stores in this area, which is why One More Time earns four stars for me. They have a small men's section, but the majority of the store is for women. Their racks are organized well by size and color, and they don't overcrowd them with hangers, which makes it easier to browse. I also really like the program they have where, when you bring your own bag or don't need one, you can put a coin in one of several boxes representing different charities that they will donate to. read more

To echo what one of the other reviews mentioned, the owner is not focused on customer service whatsoever. I had sold some items to them at the beginning of the year and chose to receive store credit rather than cash. I went back a couple weeks ago to use the gift card (which only had $4 on it) and one of the employees informed me "the card reader has imploded". She went to consult with the owner and there was no solution for me. In this situation, the owner could have easily applied a $4 discount and taken the card out of goodwill, but instead chose to inconvenience me by telling me to come another day when the card reader is working. How about no? This isn't the first time I've had an issue with this place. I've decided not to return even after shopping here for the past three years. Sometimes you can find some good items, but this business clearly doesn't care about its customers. You can go to a place like Marshalls or TJ Maxx and find NEW clothes at the same price. Honestly, it's not worth your time to sell or buy here. I've brought things in to sell and if they take anything at all they rip you off on the price they pay for it, you won't make more then $10. They give you double in Store credit what they would give you an cash, but it still does not add up to much. I expected a lot more out of One More Time. Viewed from 5th Ave., the fashions in the windows look pretty trendy. I had my hopes up for a sort of Plato's Closet for adults. I was disappointed once inside. The window fashions are as good as it gets, really. The clothes are OK and a tad overpriced. I still prefer more traditional secondhand stores. I suppose something can be said for the fact that you don't have to sift through as much junk here. They have some standards for what they except. As a guy, I felt a little left out at One More Time. One More Time is a consignment shop for mostly clothing. Priced about like a Marshalls, all the clothing is in good condition. Like other consignment or thrift clothing stores, you can find some really pretty things next to some really gaudy things. Most of the clothing lines are from higher end department stores - no Wal-Mart clothes (at least that I could see). Compared to their original department store prices, they're still cheaper at One More Time. They do have sales and you can find really good prices on those racks. Currently they're having an up to 80% off sale. In the front room the clothing are arranged by color and season. The next room over is where the most of the spring items are and a lot of the shoes. OMT also sells books, jewelry and furniture. There was a lounge couch, but a sign advertised their furniture as in another location. The plus size collection is fairly decent, but it was tucked away in the back room. I'd actually give them 3 1/2 stars but since that's not an option, I'll round it up for them. read more

I brought some clothes here to sell once and they said they couldn't take them because they weren't a high enough brand. I told them, I found several other items in the store with these brands. They insisted that they couldn't take them, and offered to donate them to a charity. I later heard that this store does this, then sells it on the racks. So, I'm going to preface this review by saying that I really don't like consignment shops. I feel they're overpriced and usually don't have much of a selection. Having said that, I was pretty impressed with the One More Time bevy of shops. They have 3: One More Time, One More Time Plus, and One More Time Home. I visited the plus and home stores on my most recent visit and was pleasantly surprised by the ample selection AND great prices. Let's jump right in: Pros: *Great selection! Being a plus-size gal, let me tell you that it is hard to find used plus size clothing that is both comfortable and fashionable. Usually if you do find both, it's way overpriced. This store was stocked full of great clothes for very reasonable prices. I actually had to drastically scale down what I purchased since the hubby was with me and grunting about my spending habits. ;) *Great prices - their prices were already very affordable and then they offer daily sales on top of that! The day I was shopping, they were clearing out to make way for Fall (even though ti was only early August) so all short sleeve and summer type clothing was an additional 50% off. I signed up for their newsletter and I've seen them advertising some great sales: 30% off Vera Bradley, fantastic holiday sales, and lots more seasonal clear-out sales to name a few. *Friendly salespeople. The ladies working this shop left me alone to shop in peace and didn't bother me once while shopping. The shop is split with a front and back shopping area and they stayed up front, arranging merchandise and ringing up customers, other than to pop in every so often and make sure I was still okay. I've been going to One More Time off-and-on for a couple years now, and I never thought of writing a review until now. Why? Well, the store just isn't that memorable. They really DO have some nice things here. In the past two years, I've bought a nice pair of jeans, a couple of tops, a favorite sweater, and a frumpy suit that I needed for a last-minute meeting. It's a good way to save money over buying new. But the selection is nothing to write home about, and more often than not I've left with nothing that excites me, or the only good items that I saw are too overpriced to be worth it. I sold some clothes here before, and I probably won't bother with that again. Out of all the consignment stores I've sold stuff at, they've offered me the least amount of compensation by FAR. While they don't offer a set percentage like some other stores, based on their prices and the amount they offered me, I calculated that they're paying you less than 5% (cash, twice that in trade) of what they ultimately sell their clothes for. That compares to the standard 20--25% (cash, 40-50% trade) that other stores in the area offer. So why do I keep going back? Well, like I said, it's a little cheaper than buying new, and you can find a few nice things if you look for awhile. Or maybe it's just because I don't have a television and second-hand shopping is my form of entertainment. Inventory Summary Standouts: -designer corner with brands like Ferragamo, Dior, Michael Kors at OMG prices -large women's shoe section -mostly casual to business casual clothing. Brands: Banana Republic, Anthropologie, JCrew, Loft, Ann Taylor, H&M, Kenneth Cole, Francesca's, Express -Men's section is very small in comparison to the space dedicated to women's apparel, almost exclusively shorts, tee's, and polos Clothing Consignment/Sale Summary bring items in on hangers they seem to really care about brand/designer here Two options available: 1. Sell upfront - doesn't matter the season - and get 10-20% of their selling price. For instance, I wanted to unload a couple of coats, and got $2 a piece. Would have gotten $4 each for store credit 2. Consign - must be in season - and get 50% of the selling price. They give you a list of the items they've taken and their asking price. You can check on your items sold online. Items that haven't sold in 3 weeks are marked down 20%, and another 20% after 6 weeks. Sales last for 60 days. Checks are issued every other month on the 15th. Checks more than $30 are mailed. Seasons: Feb - Spring April - Summer Aug - Fall Sept - Winter Nov - Holiday Overall, the girl that helped me was very fast, super friendly, and I definitely didn't feel judged. Clothing selection: Minimal. Less than 15 of each type of item (jeans, slacks, skirts, sweaters, jackets) in each size MAX. Most sizes had far fewer items, except the plus sizes, which seemed to have a bit more variety. I didn't find a single item I would have considered purchasing in any size above a small. Pricing: Pretty steep for some items, considering they're used and quite out of season. I saw a lot of things in upwards of $50. Other stuff: They have a few dozen books (I picked a brand new-looking hardback copy of a Harry Potter book for $4, which was sweet) and a lot of jewelry, which was annoyingly priced comparable to new jewelry at a store like NY&C (I have no idea if it was even used, though.) I think, "oh if I sell a couple things for store credit, it won't be that expensive if I pick up a few things" but more often than not, I spend much more than what I sell. Also, I feel drawn to always come back even though it takes a long time to sift through the racks. This is one of the biggest consignment stores that I've ever been in and I've found gems when I've had the patience to really search (i.e. I found a really cute new banana republic sweater for $15, it had the tags and cost $50+ in stores). I am quite possibly the world's biggest bargain shopper. Even if it's just a few pennies I'm saving, I will, for example, walk aaaall the way back to my car to get my Kroger card. So when a friend told me about One More Time, I was ecstatic! Not to mention the fact that they have a designer clothes section AS WELL AS a home decor area! As a young professional, I have learned the art of refurbishing clothing, furniture and whatever else I can in order to make it look fantastically new (thanks Mom). While I have found a few good bargains during my One More Time adventures, I have to say that some of the prices are a bit more than one would think when you consider the fact that they are indeed 'used' items. Again, I love the concept and am always up for a little bargain digging, but I walk out of there more often disappointed than not. As these items are brought in predominantly by those looking to profit off of their closet excesses and there is a middle man involved (that's One More Time) this justifies the need to mark the prices up a bit more. I definitely understand that and have profited off of them myself, however I would much rather drive a bit further and go to the Goodwill on North High Street as I have never left there disappointed! Just last week, I scored a pair of nearly new (high end) stiletto's for $2.99. And you know...when you donate to Goodwill you get that whole warm-and-fuzzy feeling inside. This thrift store has high standards for their merchandise and not high like the eye rolling that goes on at Rag-o-Rama but high in the obvious criteria in label, quality, and condition of the stock. I've been here several times to browse after getting my free gas from the nearby Get n Go, feeling like i can burn a few bucks since I just saved on fuel. My recent finds include a pair of never worn still original tags on stiletto Aldo boots for only 15 bucks and basic LBD from the H&M madonna collection. HA! Remember that crap? I'm glad I only paid 10 bucks but have to admit I love the dress. I also noticed the good selection of barely worn and notable brand name coats and jackets from Gap, Banana Republic, and Columbia. Was planning a shopping visit to this store. Emailed them to find out what type of handbags they had in stock. Never got a reply. Day before the shopping trip I called to ask them the same questions because it is an almost 2 hour drive. The person who answered was not knowledgable about the stock. And then told me she was going to transfer me and hung up. Needless to say, this location is scratched off our must see list. I suggest that they retrain their employees. I stopped here at the recommendation of an ex girlfriend who said the prices at One More Time are good and that there is a nice selection. Well, it turns out that the men's selection is not that robust but i did find a few nice shirts that were in like new condition for not too much dough. Also a cheap and spiffy pair of sunglasses. One more time exists more to fortify the wardrobes of women more than those of men, but the very friendly help at the store did tell me they are trying to expand the men's section. The women's areas extend over a couple of adjacent rooms and the selections look plentiful. The employees were extremely pleasant to talk to and the experience of visiting One More Time was a wholly pleasant one. I only give it four stars because of the disparity between men's and women's offerings. read more

Extremely insulting and unfriendly. The clerk pricing consignment pieces, imo, appeared unwell and snapped, " You can do your shopping. I have someone ahead of you. " I didn't have any shopping to do and said I could wait. She was very dissatisfied with that. I looked around the store and noticed a lot of JC Penney and Target labels which surprised me because of the way the store advertised its merchandise as more edgy and vintage. In the end, they wouldn't accept my items. The labels were too old - vintage leather Couture, Michael Kors, etc. Isn't the very definition of vintage - not brand new? And you're looking for target and penneys brands? They were very willing to donate them for me though. Very kind but no thanks. I can use the donation receipt myself. I have been going to this place on and off for 25 years. You can find good deals but my advice is DON'T BRING THINGS IN FOR CONSIGNMENT - unless you don't care that some of your stuff will most likely go to charity and the store will get the tax credit instead of you. A number of times I have been told they "can't find my stuff" that they said didn't sell. I come back later and they say they found it and they donated it. I thought I would give them one more try recently. So I went in before the time expired on my account so I could get money or retrieve my items. They said some stuff sold but they "couldn't find the other stuff" so that meant it sold but did not show as such yet. I went around and around on that because I have been through this before with them. They insisted I would get a check for the missing items as soon as everything cleared. When I called today to find out what happened to my check, surprise, surprise, they had "donated" the items they said they couldn't find when I was in the store. How could a store be in business over 30 years and still not have a reliable system for keeping track of their inventory? One of the items that was "missing" and "donated" was a $120 never-used Banana Republic handbag. The cheaper items do not tend to get lost. There business is built on people bringing in stuff yet they make us work hard and have to show up in person more than once to get our stuff back and sometimes we still don't. Compared to the other second hand stores in the area, this place is really lacking. The main issue to me is that there is a very negative presence there as far as bad customer service. If you try to sell anything of value, guess what? They will offer you about 1.00!! I mean, honestly, it's ridiculous. The other store like clothes mentor offer at least a decent amount for good quality items. The store manager always looks so annoyed to be there and so overworked. Here is an idea, if you are feeling so stressed out about running a business and it's showing in how you treat your customers, then it's time to hang it up. No smiles, no actual taking time to be kind and curteous to customers. I'm sure the owner has been through a lot on her end, but again, there is a time to take your winnings and hang it up. Not a fan of this place for two reasons: (1) I've been here 5 or 6 times over the last couple years and every single time I am met with the rudest, most inattentive salespeople ever; (2) all the clothes look like they're from Kohls. I have been taking my clothes to this store for some time now. Seems like it depends on who is checking in your clothes wether they take them or not. I find when the younger girls check them they do not take much, I even watched the girl from a distance last week. She didn't even look at most of them. She put them from one pile to another pile. My clothes are in very good condition. I always shop and have bought a few things and they have never been offered their lunch card. I am an older woman and I think that is part of the reason why they treat me the way they do. I have been shopping and have found many things on the rack with stains and older and out of date clothing. I think I am done shopping and taking my clothes to this store, very disappointed in the staff. I have lost 85 pounds so I have many clothes to replace. If you are going to run a retail store you need to teach your employees to treat everyone the same. Not impressed with this store anymore!!!!! I love One More Time and was a big fan of their Plus Store next door until I lost too much weight! I feel very welcomed in both stores. Staff is helpful, honest and friendly. The clothing selection is stylish and in excellant condition (they are picky what they sell.) I haven't found another consignment shop that comes close to the selection, prices, and staff.. I recycle my clothing as I have been losing weight. I have been given fair pricing and more money to spend at the store. I love the frequent buyers card, which I have filled a few in my time for free stuff.. I am a huge fan and stop at least twice a week. There is no place better. read more

I went to One More Time for the first time today. Overall I had a great experience. There are plenty of nice clean fitting rooms and the staff is nice. Women's tops are organized by color, then size. (Men's clothes are just organized by size.) I don't really like shopping by color but I found that browsing through all the racks in my size worked pretty well for me. There are some pretty lame items, but I found several gems: a Milly blouse for $20, 2-ply cashmere, never-worn Coach pumps for $47. I felt like I was robbing the place!
