Great Nail Salon. $5 yo $10 cheaper than other places in the area. Friendly owner and staff. Clean with relaxing atmosphere

Complete rip off! I came here for a pedicure and fill in. I wanted to cut my nails down a little bit (they were not by any means long), the lady told me it was $20 to cut them! I said no way am I paying that. She said "it's more than just cutting, I have to file them too..." Well yeah, that is part of the manicure/fill in process! I was already in the pedicure chair while the lady was taking off the gel polish on my toes when she informed me that THAT was also $10 (OK, that's not unheard of when you go somewhere new) but it was also $20 if I wanted to do gel again, which I did. Most places I have been to would drop the $10 charge if you were getting gel polish again, especially if you want a repeat customer. At this point I said just finish the pedicure and forget about the nails because your prices are absurd. I looked at their price list before leaving. No mention of charging $20 to cut your nails. That's just ridiculous. I'm not cheap but I do not want to be nickel and dimed. On top of that, even after sanitizing your hands you're not allowed to touch ANY of the colors. So I had to stand there while they showed me the colors, and they couldn't even find the one I wanted. They also informed me at the door that my mask "wasn't acceptable" and handed me a cheap mask they insisted I wear instead. I should have walked out at that point but I really needed a pedicure so I walked back to my car and got another mask of my own. If you're so concerned about Covid, maybe you should turn the AC on instead of leaving the door open because the place was steaming hot, making it a breeding ground for bacteria. No wonder this place is empty on a Friday afternoon. I'm glad I didn't have to endure sitting there for another hour in the sweltering heat getting my nails done. read more

I have visited this nail salon in the past and they are top notch!! I called to make an appointment (which I had remembered from the last time I had visited) and I walked right in at my scheduled time and got a seat. The place is immaculate and it does get crowded. I love that they know everyone by name as they walk in (except for me because I haven't been there in so long!!). Color selection is endless and the pedicure was divine. Even though they are busy, you are not rushed at all. The place has a serene feel and everyone is so friendly. Before I began my review, I just want to mention the address on this yelp page for this salon has changed. The new address is 259 Glen Cove Ave, Sea Cliff, NY 11579. It was my first time at this nail salon and the service and results I received was probably one of the best from any nail salon ever, and definitely the best salon in Glen Cove, hands down! I took advantage of the Mon.-Wed. special ($25 for a reg. mani & pedi) which includes a hot stone message on your legs and a paraffin wax for your heels and hands, at no additional cost. I also got a gel manicure and french style which costed extra, but was still a great deal. I think what was above and beyond was that the nail technicians really paid attention to my wants and needs. They would ask what I liked, they'd check-in through the process to make sure it's done to my liking, and when it got busy they'd apologize for the wait and check on me while I waited. It's these small things that make a big difference in the service. Also, not completely necessary for me, but a really nice touch is the decor of the salon, quite different from any other salon I've ever been to. It's spacious, nicely decorated, very clean (which is most important to me), and the best way to explain it is quaint. You can really tell in the small details that the owner puts in her personality in the decor and takes pride in her salon and service. She's really honest too, which, unfortunately, can be difficult to find in many nail salons. My only complaint is that I didn't find this nails salon sooner, and now I'm moving. Although, I am considering traveling here just for the service. That's how good it was. read more

Updating my review since I had a pedicure today! Nice exfoliating scrub on the legs & feet, nice warm towels, rich cream. I didn't ask for a "special" pedicure & yet they massaged my legs for a good amount of time. I was having a particularly rough day so when, to my surprise, they added hot stones to the leg massage I melted in the chair, total relaxation. They also parafin your heals & all of this is included in a regular pedicure! Well worth the $20. I've learned that if you want to use this nail salon you must call the morning of, or even the day before to make an appt, they're busy...and its no wonder considering how amazing they are. read more

Best Nail Salon in Glen Cove! The salon is extremely clean, the ladies who work there are very friendly and do an excellent job! I have had several pedicures and they are fantastic-a regular pedicure includes a hot stone massage and parafin wax on your heels. The regular manicure also includes a scrub and parafin wax. No one else does this at this price! I have been getting the gel manicures now for several weeks and they last. Im from out of town and went here due to the great reviews and their Mani pedi special mon-wed $25. It was a calm, clean and well appointed nice small place with good equipment. The service was gentle communicative and professional. They were all very congenial and the best part was it didn't smell toxic. Furthermore they gave you a free neck massage while your nails were drying! Better than best! I would highly recommend them and will come back to them when I'm back in the area for the holidays. read more

First time at this place - came here based on the reviews since I'm new to this area. I called same day to make an appointment. Made us take our temperature at the door, requested to use hand sanitizer, and fill out a questionnaire and provide our name and phone. You are not able to touch the polish bottles. So since I've never been here and there's no price list anywhere in the store the least they could do was let me know what does their pedicures involve. They were like confused themselves on what they offer. Took a few minutes to get an answer on what they offer and a price. $50 includes the spa package which is your choice of scented lotion / scrub. "Callus remover" which really wasn't that great and my feet still have callus. They don't use the typical cheese graters. They us a stick on scrub paper that did absolutely nothing to my feet. Hot stone, a few 2-3 minute foot massage. My boy friend got his feet done which was 25- includes just cutting of the cuticles. $12 extra for callus remover for $37. (Totally not worth it). The person who did my boy friends feet and the lady who did mine felt rushed. Just as I was done with my pedicure, I expected to dry my toes and they said they are not turning the fans on???? And offered me "oil" to try my toes..yeah definitely not. Overall I just think this salon was nothing special. Store is pretty clean which is the only plus I can say about this place. If they did not let you dry your feet they should have at least told you that before you got your feet done. Not wait till the end...... and again I'm a new customer how would I know they don't let you dry your toes?? Would I return back again? Probably not. Pedicure was ok definitely nothing special. - response to the owner - thank you for your response however if there was a price list when the customer came into the store why did you shout the prices in the store if there was a "list". Fabulous! I tried One Plus One out while visiting with family and didn't have very high expectations. Their prices were totally reasonable, though, and everybody was super nice. We went for mani/pedis and got the full treatment of massages, scrubs, etc, and didn't feel rushed at all. I would've happily paid more for my visit but was happy I didn't have to. I'll definitely be back again and I'm pretty sure my sister-in-law will be visiting more often, too. read more

There is absolutely no better nail salon. In fact I moved 40 mins away and still try to come here when I can because I just can't find a replacement. The owner Dina is friendly and accommodating. The salon itself is clean, bright and the staff are all well trained. You can't beat the price (a regular pedi comes with wax and a hot stone massage... I mean, come on people). They take their time and make sure your nails are done right. They truly make your experience so great. The color selection is AMAZING, they are always showcasing the newest colors. You cannot beat the mani/pedi deal during the week. They include paraffin wax treatments and the hot stone massage which is a lovely touch. Anyway, They are so nice and actually talk to you. They do a great job and for a great price! Super clean (everyone gets their own tools) and my gel manicure lasted longer than any gel mani I have gotten before...and for much more money. I love this place and I'm never going anywhere else! They also do a ton of extra services at no extra fee. Hand wax that makes your skin so soft, hot stones on your legs during pedi, oil on the heels of your feet during pedi to soften the skin, and a 2 or 3 min back massage while your nails are drying/the hand wax is setting. THE best experience I have ever had. I got a gel mani and pedi and eyebrow wax and spent 55$. At my old salon that would get me a gel mani and ONE eyebrow waxed...as in only half of the equation.
