As we were heading inside, I passed a girl coming out who looked so much like Billie Eilish that my brain completely short-circuited and I accidentally called her "Billie Eyelash." Thankfully, she knew exactly what I meant and laughed about it. That little interaction pretty much set the tone for the whole visit: good vibes, friendly people, and nobody taking themselves too seriously. Once inside, the experience only got better. As a first-time customer, I was able to take advantage of the new customer discount, which is always appreciated. More importantly, the staff actually took the time to help me figure out what I wanted. I wasn't looking for someone to point at the most expensive thing on the shelf and send me on my way. I had questions, I explained what I normally buy, and the budtender took the time to walk me through options that actually fit what I was looking for. Shoutout to AK, who was incredibly patient and helpful while my husband and I stood there trying to make decisions. I even managed to get what might be the most studious-looking photo ever taken of a budtender. The man looked like he was preparing a dissertation on flower selection. I ended up picking up some flower and a pre-roll, and I left feeling like I got exactly what I came for instead of settling for whatever happened to be on special that day. What stood out most to me, though, was the atmosphere. Everybody working there had their own personality. You'd see someone covered in tattoos helping a customer on one side, someone else who looked like they should be coaching a high school sports team on the other, and another person who looked like their mom's life goal was making sure they stayed focused on school. Somehow it all worked perfectly. The staff was a mix of completely different people, but everybody was welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. That's the kind of place I enjoy coming back to. It felt comfortable, not intimidating, and definitely not pretentious. The Sanctuary is also dangerously close to my house, which means they may have accidentally gained a regular customer. Great service, great atmosphere, helpful staff, and a genuinely welcoming vibe. Sometimes you walk into a business and immediately feel like you belong there. This was one of those places. And at the end of the day, it's kind of funny that a bunch of completely different people can come together over one common interest. That's exactly the energy this place has. And I hope no one took any disrespect for my version of my first introduction because I mean everything with the most sincerity and love .

Which at Stiiizy, would be like 6 bags! Which would have 10 in each baggy. Not here! It would have only been 2 packages and a total of 20 pieces. Not worth the price. My friend bought a bunch of stuff. It wasn't till we were about 15 minutes away. That I realized that I left my ID. No one on staff said anything!!! Yet, they clearly had to know. They didn't call me and let me know. By that time they were closed. It wasn't till the next day. When I called them and they checked. Thank GOD they had it! Not that it was in question but who knows. The most frustrating thing was... I called and got put on hold for 8 minutes!!! (This was the manger's line!) I don't think they were coming back on the phone. I called back and got a lady this time. She was not friendly at all and rude!!! Which is surprising since the staff there are so friendly! I guess management doesn't believe in good customer service!?!? On top of that all. When I went to pick up the ID. There was no apology! Nothing!!! Oh and they had easily 50 to a 100 IDs stuffed in this container. Like an old tin money container. Like you use at a garage sale. To hold all the money! I bet they haven't reached out to any of those customers!!! Which is really bad customer service and retention! If you are missing your ID and have gone here. They may have it!!?!? I am not ever going here again!

I went and both my brother and I paid our…read moremoney up front, had our blood pressure and pulse taken and jotted down -- by just the front desk person, mind you, then were given a BUSINESS CARD and told to come back when a doctor would actually BE there. We only got a number given to us and told we could start to visit dispensaries, which was weird, because we had received NO doctor's evaluation NOR a certificate!!!!! We both went to a dispensary and gave them the id number they had given us to start buying our medical cannabis, and indeed we were entered into the CannAssist system. Right after that we were asked to wait for a while in the lobby of the dispensary, then the front desk person came out after 15 minutes or so, upon which time we were told that they were no longer accepting anything coming from "420 Approved". We went back to 420 Approved and demanded our money back so we could actually GET a legitimate, legal, doctors rec down the street. I will review the other place in another review, but needless to say, I was HORRIFIED at the shyster/grifter nature of this business. BE WARNED -- this "so-called" clinic does not have long for this world. They give everyone in the medical cannabis business a bad and slimy name. We will NEVER have this wonderful natural dried herbal flower EVER accepted as long as people like this are allowed to prey upon all of society. See for yourself.

It took me personally 4 days to get seen by a doctor after showing up to every appointment they made for me! I am disabled and boy they sure made me work for this card! I signed off on my legal marijuana paperwork before the doctor had even asked me why I was there, he then asked for medical records (which I provided years worth) which he didn't look at more than one paper from them and told me to have a good day. Except their card machine was down...So I had to go to a different 420 Approved for a card, except they didn't know what I was talking about! Eventually for $20 EXTRA I got my actual card, which I come to find out is not valid pretty much anywhere necessary. I ended up paying twice as much for my entire experience than most anywhere else. Dr. Maroon left 420 Approved, smart guy, and you can reach him like John S. said at 916-760-3241. I called to verify my card but got their machine after hours which sent me to 2 websites where I could verify my card. One site said I wasn't valid and the other side just had my name, the wrong zip code, and when it expires. It was the most on 10 websites to verify that I could find at all. 9 out of 10 sites said my card from 420 Approved wasn't valid. Would I recommend this place? Not in this lifetime or any other for that matter!!

Perfect Union is hands down my favorite dispensary. I had only ever been to the downtown location…read moreand had no idea this bigger one even existed. When I was out with my guy getting ready to head to the usual spot, he stopped me and said no, let me show you the other one. He mentioned it was two or three times bigger, and he was not exaggerating. It is tucked back in an industrial area with a big lot and plenty of parking. The entire exterior is covered in gorgeous "flower" murals, and I was impressed before I even walked inside. At the door, the security guard was checking IDs and he was genuinely friendly. He asked if it was my first time there, and when I told him it was, he told me to make sure I mentioned it at the counter for a little first time treat. That alone set a great tone. They do not allow photos inside, so phone went away. Walking in was almost overwhelming in the best way possible. So many brands, so many options, and a ton of good sales going on. I definitely needed more time to browse than I had, but I was on a bit of a time crunch. I ended up grabbing a couple new bags of gummies and a THC beverage. When I got to the counter, I told them it was my first visit just like the security guard suggested. The person helping me lit up, welcomed me warmly, and offered me several different complimentary options to choose from. I ended up going with gummies. It was such a nice little surprise and made the whole experience feel thoughtful and welcoming. I have since tried the products and everything tasted great and worked exactly how I wanted it to. Both locations have earned my loyalty at this point. Perfect Union is officially my go to spot.
