My wife and I needed to do a quick shop last night and decided to swing by the supermarket. The hype right now is at Wegmans so the store seems empty at 7pm. Walking in, we're greeted by a hostess. She explained the smart wagon, we're the cashier as we swipe the reader in the wagon. Do I get paid for this? Haha The shopping experience is interesting, lots of great sales but regular priced items are eye popping. No, I don't need $36 worth of detergent but I do need .75 cents on Nan bread. That's right, 3 quarters. I noticed the cheese selection was pretty cool but yogurt choices were not that large. The store is very large and clean. All of the shelves were well stocked. Listen, I think I'm a fan?? Every week we have to go to ShopRite because the digital coupons didnt work. Amazon Fresh had the tech down! After we were all rung up, we received a discount being a prime member. Still on the fence, so far nothing but a positive shopping experience to report for Amazon Fresh.

This is a great store with quality products where you can save money. Highly recommend. I wouldn't purchase their skin care, medical or cleaning supplies. Those seem to be overpriced. You can definitely find less expensive items at your local pharmacy.

I came in for the advertised "Celebration Bouquet" for $6.99. When I asked an employee for help, she first told me she had no idea what I was talking about. Only after I mentioned the website did she bother to look it up -- and once she confirmed it existed, she informed me the store didn't carry it. Her helpful solution? That I drive around to other Stop & Shop locations and see if they might have it. No substitution, no effort, nothing. Then I tried to pick up the free 48 oz Blue Diamond Almond Milk. Also unavailable. This time I was told to "keep checking back," as if I have unlimited time to repeatedly visit the store hoping the advertised items eventually materialize. If Stop & Shop expects customers to spend their week traveling from store to store chasing down promotions, it would be great if that were mentioned somewhere. As it stands, the experience was disappointing, unhelpful, and frankly pretty frustrating. I filled out the survey at the bottom of my receipt & requested that someone contact me by email. The survey indicated I would receive a response within 7 business days. Today is 4/26/26, I am fairly certain we are beyond that timeframe---yet another failure on their part.

A lot of times their shelves are a mess, but I like the selection so if I have to search for the tuna in oil mixed in with the tuna in water then so be it lol I did pickup once or twice but it's not my favorite. Not anything to do with Shop Rite but just in general it's not my fave but sometimes convenient. What's usually inconvenient about curbside in general is the item replacements and if no replacement you just don't get anything. Maybe I need a little more practice with curbside. The inconvenience is that if I get home and realize something is missing I have to go back out anyway so I might as well do my own shopping. But like I said, it's just sometimes a thing with other people doing your shopping in general. Oh -- and watch those gnarly speed bumps! I'd rather park really far and just walk. But I've always been happy with PJ Shop Rite and their prices aren't bad compared to say King Kullen

However, the premium quality comes with an equally premium price tag, a reality that has persisted, and perhaps even intensified, since its acquisition by Amazon. For the savvy shopper, there are still ways to navigate the costs. Keen attention to pricing, coupled with strategic use of Amazon Prime discounts and in-store sales, can help balance the ledger. Ultimately, the store's unique draw lies in its exclusive selection; there are certain specialty items you simply won't find anywhere else, making it a necessary stop for certain needs. Our family has found a practical rhythm: we always begin our shopping at the Trader Joe's across the street. After surveying their selection and prices, we then visit Whole Foods for those few, special items we can't get elsewhere. This approach makes the added effort, and expense, feel worthwhile. Despite the undeniable cost, shopping at the Lake Grove location remains a valuable way to support and enrich a healthy lifestyle, especially for those living on Long Island's East End. It's a curated experience, one where careful planning can turn a luxury stop into a sustainable part of your routine.

Ever since the renovation and I guess new management I've yet to have a good experience. they don't know how ring me up using the app which is supposed to be a convenient way to pay so I try not to use that there or I'll be waiting forever. Then there's the gas prices; I can understand charging a little bit more than other places but here we're talking 50cents over. And if you're going to rob people blind at least have receipt paper in the machines. The fact that I have to go inside for a receipt just tells me either the staff is beyond lazy (meaning the place is probably filthy on the inside) or the owner is just a cheap ass. Either way it's a horrible look and shows a whole lot about the place itself
