My review got removed. Absolute outrage YELP. No notice. No warning. It was a good honest details. No bad language so whatever. Let's try again. Short version- I had cold like symptoms when I went here. PA (no doctor) prescribed antibiotics right away no other testing. Bad practice. Only 10% chance you have bacteria infection. Rather suggest other things to relieve the symptoms that likely from virus. It's a whole 5-10 days cycle that just needs to get over NOT AMOXICILLIN. The PA convinced me to take it from there and come BACK if not better. MILKING! Of course I didn't get better because it's virus infection. Went to my PCP, where they started with X-ray and Covid test. My doctor was shocked that this PA at AFC started with antibiotics. BE WARNED! read more

I had a great experience going to AFC Beaverton today. When creating an appointment online, I didn't have to enter much of my information as I had gone there before. The office staff were friendly and helpful. The doctor I saw was Laurel. I found her to be knowledgeable, informative and compassionate. A detailed visit finding and next-step instructions were also provided. read more

I have a documented history of migraines and went to this urgent care instead of the Providence one I usually go to. I told them about my history as well as a few other relevant medical details. The doctor cut me off when I said I had low iron and immediately refused to treat me with anything other than a Zofran and a medication that he all but assured me would do nothing. According to him you can't give the medication I needed if you have low red blood cell counts. I don't and if he hadn't interrupted he would have known that. I have had low iron my entire life and this has never prevented me from receiving proper medical treatment for a migraine and I found absolutely no medical research to back up that line of thinking. After refusing his "treatment" I went to the Providence one in Tanasbourne where I explained the exact same situation. They then kindly and promptly treated me for my migraine and agreed that whoever I saw was a quack. Don't waste your money friends. read more

Wait time has improved, but they removed the toys from the waiting room. Every time you make an appointment here, you are forced to fill out the same paperwork which asks for your name, address, email, phone number, race, gender identity, insurance cards, ID card, emergency contact info, etc., etc. even if you just visited the place two days prior. This is extremely annoying because since it's all online, they should already have the information and should not ask for it again unless the patient indicates that something has changed. Most of the information was indeed saved from the last time I filled it out, but not the secondary insurance part. I asked them before I went to my appointment whether I had to fill it out again since nothing had changed, and the person replied "No your all set." But when I arrived at the clinic, the receptionist Amanda made me fill out the paperwork from scratch. I muttered, "I don't know why I have to fill this out again when I already did it two days ago." She gave no response. When I went to my seat to fill out the paperwork for the third time, my partner asked what was wrong. So I replied that I had to fill out the stupid paperwork again even though I already filled it out two days ago. Then Amanda yelled across the room that she didn't know I was there two days ago because she wasn't working there two days ago. Which was a lie, because I remember her tattooed arm from two days ago. She yelled that all I had to do was just tell her I already filled it out two days ago, implying that if I had made this clear to her, she could have looked me up in her system and not made me fill it out again. But I already HAD said that to her when I was at the desk. I yelled back, "So after I fill this out, I won't have to fill out the paperwork ever again, right?" She did not answer, she just got some other employee to back her up. Amanda complained that I was yelling across the room at her, despite the fact that she started yelling across the room at me first. Where's the customer service skills? Where's the compassion for suffering patients? Did I get an apology ever? No! Fire Amanda! Then once I got called back, the employee she called for backup told me that "the front desk" (Amanda) said that I'd have to contact my secondary insurance to inform them that I had another insurance, because otherwise they would deny covering the visit and give me a fat bill. Funny, I wasn't told this when I visited this place two days ago. Amanda is probably lying again. My secondary insurance is already aware I have a primary insurance. My two insurances have covered all my previous doctor appointments just fine; when the primary doesn't cover the entire thing, the secondary picks up the rest of the bill. So if I DO end up getting a fat bill from AFC, it will be Amanda's doing! read more

Going to the emergency room is never optimal, it can be stressful and worrisome. It's nice knowing the neighborhood urgent care has our backs The people at this location helped me months ago with diagnosing a broken toe. They were very helpful, attentive, and did the most they could for me. My works insurance went through a third party service which made billing a little difficult. The two people at the front desk literally worked for an hour and a half to figure out how to bill me correctly. I just went through today and they helped me again with figuring out how to navigate my weird third party management service. many thanks to you all at AFC and definitely go see them if you're in any need read more

I had a appointment today at 3:15pm. I filled out all of my paperwork prior to my appointment online. I checked in at 3pm and they told me it would be about a 45 min wait. I understand things happen and people run behind so with that said I took a seat and waited. After a HOUR AND A HALF passed by and someone who had checked in after me got called in before me, I went up to the next asking how much longer. The girl says, " sorry for the wait, your next, but if you want to reschedule we can." I've already waited this long so I went to sit back down and she said about 15min more. It was about 25 more min until I actually got called back... The woman who took my vitals went out of her way to apologize about the wait and said the nurse will be in in a couple minutes and that it's really fast once you're "back here." She left the room at 4:53pm and the nurse didn't come back till 5:15pm. Almost 25min.... While I was waiting I was listening to the employees asking someone to leave them a yelp review and saying to please put their names in it. This place is a joke. This place is urgent care and they were behind almost two hours.. they made me fill out paperwork and knew exactly what I was coming in for. They could've easily ran out, took my vitals, cultured my nose and throat and sent me on my way in a matter of minutes. There's more, but I'll stop here read more

I hate giving bad reviews, but I want folks to be aware of my experience because medical care is important. I went to urgent care because I was sure I needed x-rays. Unfortunately I wasn't seen by a doctor, but instead saw a physician's assistant. After maybe 60 seconds she said my arm was fine. I disagreed because it felt quite painful. She said I didn't need x-rays because if it was broken she'd be able to tell with a very rapid touch test. So she sent me home with a wrist brace, noting a sprained arm from wrist to elbow. I followed up with my primary care physician because I was sure it was hurt worse. He 100% agreed, based on his careful analysis, and ordered x-rays. They revealed that my arm was indeed broken. My orthopedist said the wrist brace was useless for my injury. Yet I got a bill from AFC to pay for the wrist brace. So I was misdiagnosed and was sent home with a medical device I have to pay for that was unnecessary to begin with. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. But I received horrible medical care, which was the entire point of being there. read more

I should have checked their reviews before making an appointment. Awful awful awful awful awful awful Can't say enough how rude and unprofessional they are. Specially the person "Darin" who basically got us to leave with pain after waiting for hour and half. He was very rude and cared less about us. My wife was in a car accident and when I called to make an appointment, they sent us some forms to fill out so when we go to our appointment we don't have to wait long. We got there 15 minutes earlier and the receptionist had us fill another paperwork. After waiting an hour, receptionist told us that it's going to be another half hour. Reluctantly we agreed. Then after 15 minutes "Darin" comes and tells us that it's going to be maybe another couple hours or go and reschedule. Very disappointed. My son came home from college during Christmas break and had been sick for 2 weeks. Based on his symptoms, we suspected it was pneumonia. This was his first experience seeking medical care as a young adult and chose AFC Beaverton. After running 6 different tests which totaled $1,762 before insurance paid, he never received the test results. He called to check to see if the results were returned 3 days after the visit as his illness continued to progress and he was miserable. We gave up and he went to urgent care at Providence and was diagnosed within the first 10 minutes that he in fact had pneumonia. He finally received the antibiotics he desperately needed but not in time to allow him to fully enjoy the holiday had he received a diagnosis and antibiotics with his AFC visit. Although we never received the test results or a phone call offering a diagnosis or a prescription , we certainly received the bill promptly. Will never go back! read more

I went to call the Beaverton location to ask about appointments, which led to asking about walk-ins, I am from a small town and the health care system works quite differently here surrounding how URGENT care's work. I think the employees name was Jeremy or something of the sort and I was simply trying to understand and navigate how they operate walk-ins and appointments just to be cut off several times and not even let me get my question out to the point where I had to speak over him, while incredibly sick, just to let him know how rude and non-helpful he was being. I had an appointment here on July 4 at 3:20.  I have a screenshot that proves it.  But she claimed I had to have received a text confirmation. I did not receive one, nor knew I needed one. But my screenshot shows I had an appointment which gave me the date, time, location and at the bottom asked if I wanted to reschedule it.  But Trista at the front desk refused to allow me the appointment. She wouldn't even give me the name of the physician assistant who I had an appointment with, nor the PA who was working at the time. She said they were actually closing early because of the July 4 holiday and were booked up. She kept saying I have to come back tomorrow and even raised her voice at me. Imagine telling a patient who has an urgent care issue and appointment to come back another day. When I told her this was not right, she basically just ignored me from that point on while I just stood there. There was no empathy and no kindness. I actually recorded the conversation because it was so crazy. I don't know what is wrong with their scheduling system, but apparently they had someone else in my spot. Eventually Natasha came out, and while she too did not let me see anyone there either, she was at least nice about it. She didn't talk over me, didn't interrupt me, she was not at all rude like Trista. She gave me options to go to Zoom Care or Legacy Go nearby. I appreciated her willingness to at least try to help me. I am giving this place an additional star only because of Natasha. read more

If you're dealing with a medical emergency that may require a prescription or any other type of follow up, I urge you to look elsewhere. This location does not respond to requests from you or the pharmacy office for additional information regarding the prescription-even if it means the prescription won't be completed regardless of how dire or painful your condition may be. Once you're out the door, it's seemingly not their problem anymore. In my partner's case, it was a prescription for an ointment for a very painful shingles episode. The pharmacy required additional information-which is usually a simple fix if the clinic was actually responsive, but not this one. We tried to reach them using all forms of communications...showed up to the clinic and faxed/called more times than I can count. Their response? "The doctor saw the request, she will get around to it"-as if it wasn't an urgent matter. It has been three days and the pharmacy is telling me they have received no information from them whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable, but we have tried everything to get them to do their job, but to no avail. Also...what is the point of wearing a mask when you're going to pull it down every time you cough? I witnessed this happen consistently from the front desk receptionist in the hour that we were waiting for our scheduled appointment. This place is a joke. read more

I would highly recommend you choose a different location! They are nice in person. This location is known as the bad location, confirmed by their own back office and by pharmacists I've talked to. If the doctor has had your illness, they will believe only themselves for the symptoms and nothing else. This place also known to try and not prescribe medication as much as they can. If there is any issues (which is common here) with your prescriptions paperwork that they fill out, they will not fix it. No matter how many times you call, they will not fix it. They do not care about you as soon as you leave the doors. read more

Every time I've had an appointment at this location (over 15) they are always 1 hour behind or more. Staff aren't that friendly especially the female workers. The Providers are okay, but not very caring. They lost my paperwork- this location is very dysfunctional. I'm a nurse, I came here for workman's comp, and I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you have no life and love waiting in the waiting room for hours. At a different appointment I was here for three and a half hours. This is absolutely ridiculous and inconsiderate of this company. I had a medical assistant taking my blood pressure and he didn't know how to do it correctly, I was baffled. I will not be coming here anymore. read more

Terrible place-- I was told to go there by the main switchboard, who promised that they would take walk-ins. I walked in after driving 20 minutes and the place was completely deserted. Not a patient to be seen, and the front desk said, sorry no more walk-ins for today. All booked up. And they were an hour and a half from closing time. I'm not impressed. this is specifically related to the interaction I had with one specific office worker who treated me like a drug seeker for trying to get cough syrup of all things that was *originally offered to me by the doctor*. I don't do well with it so I asked for tablets. I have post viral cough so I don't need more care, just treatment for my cough. the tablets didnt work so I called back and she was so rude to me and was just like no we have no provider here who will give it to you today. no offer to follow up later, just that I could come back to be reassessed. why would I want to do that for a post viral cough? it would give them no new information. they can hear me cough on the phone. it's going to sound the same in person. I asked if we can try a different medicine and she said well did you try robothssin. are you freaking kidding me man I've been coughing for three weeks now. absolute clownery I have no idea why this lady was so rude and short with me when all I wanted was medical care i felt so horrible after the way she treated me and usually the staff is so nice. I hope she reconsiders the way she handles cases because I felt so awful after those phone calls and I'm still miserable I will just be self care somewhere that the staff treats me more nicely. read more

This location was the worst, I had a follow up appointment that they asked me to do, I've been waiting over an hour for a scheduled appointment and they took back all the walk ins before me, they also lost all my paperwork and as well as workers comp information, they were wanting to refile the claim a week after my incident to act as if it was the day of- words from the front desk lady. She's also very rude has no care about anyone. This whole location just seems wrapped in money instead of patients. They also acted as if the notes and treatments they had me do was like like an optional and not a damn thing was listed in my file. Please please call your insurance to switch providers if you can. Awful. Awful. Awful!!! I have an emergency skin condition that I need to see a dermatologist for asap, but I needed a referral first. I was told by the dermatologist to go here and get the referral *immediately*. Despite scheduling an appointment here and arriving early (as they heavily suggested) I waited 2 hours to speak to a doctor (who only came in the room for 1.5 minutes to quickly speak to me at the end). I was told I'd get an immediate prescription and referral for a dermatologist (not the one I wanted, but one of their choosing) in a few days and that I'd get a call from them with the dermatologist's contact info to schedule the appointment. I've waited a week with this extremely uncomfortable skin condition and they still haven't contacted me about the referral, nor had my pharmacist received the prescription. I've called my pharmacy several times a day for a week and finally decided to call the front desk at this urgent care clinic for help. In return for my patient suffering and kindness towards them, I received a very nasty, rude woman telling me "well you should have already got an email for a patient portal with your info"... I explained I hadn't, asked nicely what I could do to get that resent to me (which she never answered). She said they only contacted the dermatologist yesterday and that the prescription was probably sent to the wrong location "because there are a lot of Walgreens over there" and she gave me a phone number I could call for that pharmacy. After this RUDE woman hung up in the middle of me kindly saying goodbye, I called the number she gave me for the pharmacy and it isn't working... I called several more times, even googled the number.. it's not in service, nor is it associated with a pharmacy. I'm beyond livid. The ENTIRE reason I went here was to get a referral and an immediate prescription for my skin condition that I'm suffering with. Bullshit treatment towards me as a patient. Had an allergic reaction that was causing my throat to swell, making it difficult to breath and swallow. I went to 2 different AFC locations, and the wait time was incomprehensible for my symptoms. She was irritated at my SICK toddler for crying. She kept rolling her eyes and raising her voice at him. He was terrified of her and she kept getting in his face. Not to mention, she grabbed my 3 month olds binkey and put it in her mouth without asking me! How dare she touch my child who isn't even the patient without asking. She didn't read my chart before coming in and was talking crap about the medical assistant. Literally the most unprofessional, worst bedside manor I've ever experienced in my life. This place is garbage. Seemingly zero respect for patients or their time. Getting a routine COVID test as somebody in my life is high risk, and thought I'd try this spot as it was a shorter drive than where I had been before. Huge mistake. Even though they warn you constantly about not being late and say that if you are they will cancel your appointment, that expectation is not met the other way. I sat outside in my car for an hour while I waited for my appointment. They said to call when you arrived and I repeatedly did but nobody would answer my calls. Then I started receiving text messages that if I didn't check in they would cancel my appointment. A total clusterfuck. Once my test was finally administered, they had me wait there for the results rather than call me. Great, another 20 minutes. All in all I was in their parking lot for almost 2 hours, which when I had previously gotten tested at Legacy GoHealth I was in and out in 5 minutes and had my results emailed to me before I made it back home. Dr. Flemmer is condescending and judgmental. In my opinion, she has no interest in patient care, and so perhaps just making money? I say this because she refused to look at my medical records, have an adult conversation about my health history, (and I am no youngster!), and simply disregarded any other competent Doctor's opinion. At my age, there's a lot to be informed about before I would trust her care or trust her helping me stay healthy. It's too bad they must rely on such incompetence..... Worst! I was refused care for more than one issue. I came back the next day for a separate appointment. I was guilted into giving up my room after being seen once by the dr. before an x-ray and asking to see her again. Yup, I heard there were other patients with concerns more pressing than mine. That's what I was told by staff. I felt disappointed because I assumed that I would have my x-ray results explained to me by the dr, and I was demeaned by staff. This one woman in particular was very rude: "Did she tell you she would return to see you?" I certainly wasn't told that I wouldn't be seeing her after my x-ray. "You need to leave because other patients are here with more pressing matters," she continued. Just terrible. I was not valued as a patient and worse, I was glared at. read more

My partner is a Canadian and we required 72 hr PCR Covid Tests to return to BC. THE BAD: 1. We were never able to get online to print our results (for which they apologized profusely) so we had to drive there to pick up our printed results. Hers was complete. So far so good. 2. Mine looked complete but when we arrived at the border, the Canadian Border Agent asked for a "current test" for me...! Although the printed date was current, on closer inspection AFC had inadvertently referenced an earlier PCR test from March. So much for the 72 hour requirement.... LESSON: Check printed test results with a fine tooth comb. DO NOT assume the date printed also refers to the most current test date. THE GOOD: 1. nice staff, efficient and professional. read more
