The rangers do a good job of managing pace of play. The team on the beverage cart are fantastic! The change to the greens has been a significant improvement. They roll true and fairly quick. The drainage from the bunkers is great. Twice this winter there has been some heavy rain and the course is cart path only, but the bunkers have no standing water and are still playable.

Hubs has played here a few times in the past year or so before the renovation and said the renovation has made a huge difference. The course was in great condition. I admit, I was a little nervous to play since I'm a beginner and am used to playing executive courses. However, it felt beginner friendly. We also lucked out that the group behind us were nice and didn't judge my skills or lack there of. I do keep pace of play. We stopped by the restaurant after hole 9 to try and grab a quick bite. To our pleasant surprise, the staff said they would bring our food to us, which was a really nice touch! It didn't take long and I was eating tacos by hole 11. I really enjoyed the course and the overall experience. Would love to play here again!

Putting was a bit busy while players were waiting for their T-times. Love the convenience for its proximity to the house and more causal pace than private courses. From junior clinics to social mixers and competitive leagues, the program brought energy and life to that part of the club. Removing it feels like a step backward, especially for members who joined specifically for tennis. What's most frustrating is the lack of transparency from the GM and ignored member input in the decision. A change of this magnitude deserved thoughtful communication and an opportunity for feedback. Instead, it feels abrupt and out of touch with what many members value most. Very disappointing.

I've been trying to get a straight answer for months, through emails and conversations, with zero results. The food is strictly average, and their pickleball courts are a disgrace--filthy and completely unmaintained. The final insult? They ban you from returning for an entire year after you quit. Once on the front, and once on the back. Both times too early in the round. The area to buy refreshments between 9 and 10 didn't have anyone in it to sell refreshments. There were hamburgers being made, but apparently those weren't for golfers. The round took 4.5 hours to complete. Where were the rangers that I've heard so many people complaining about? Your course, like so many others in the Phoenix area is expecting golfers to continue to pay high prices for the privilege of playing something that is worth at most, half the price. I won't be one of them.

The green fee to play was $35, and it was a ghost town.. typical for AZ summer when it's 105*. A few days later I got an email indicating i was being charged by golfnow for a "no show fee" .. $35 + tax. These guys charged me because my mother in law didn't play, she spectated. If this happened in winter when the tee sheet is full I'd understand they'd want a paying customer in that slot on the tee sheet. But there was nobody to fill the spot, we wouldn't want someone to fill the spot anyway, and we paid $30 for her to sit in the cart. Not to mention I bought hot dogs at the turn, (nasty and cold) paid $7 for about 12 range balls and gave the cart kid a $5 bill at the end of the round. I emailed some guy named Seth and he couldn't care less- he felt it was justified to charge the extra fee. They basically got 5 greens fees from my group of 4 and it was shameless. I'll never ever come back.

This is a mixed review but Gil (on-site instructor) bumped my rating to five stars…read more To start, the range is nice with grass to hit off of instead of mats. As mentioned, because so many frequent this course the range balls are in bad shape at times. Although my last visit the range balls were good as I didn't find a majorly scuffed up one. Range is lit halfway with targets and distance. This alone I would probably give 3 stars. Gil makes up for the rest. I've been through a few instructors who just didn't do it for me let alone help me drop my scores. When I met Gil I constantly shot in the 100's. After about a little over 1.5 years of practice and drills I'm constantly shooting in the 80's and taking my friends monies. Gil has provided me with mental strength for my game and awesome alignment and contact drills that I can take with me anywhere. I would suggest if you are looking for help this is your place and Gil can sort you out. Don't be afraid to step into a lesson atmosphere and learn a little. Enjoy the game!
