I went to one ten auto repair despite the previous two reviews. I had a totally different experience. The first time I went, I took my Mitsubishi Lancer in for faulty spark plug. I tried to replace it myself but I did not have the right tools. The technician quickly inspected it and gave me a quote/estimate immediately which I thought was super fair (Because I tried to do it myself, I already have the replacement spark plug). Repair took a couple of hours (it's first some first serve, the actual work was probably 30-45 minutes of labor). The second job was to replace old struts in the front part of the car. Job was done in a few hours and I was informed that the drive may feel "stiff" for a few miles but will calm down after. He was right. My overall experience was very positive. The local shops nearby are great as well but the reason I keep coming back is because the technician (Sam?) was VERY informative about the repair and explained why my car was the way it is. He would show me what's normal vs. what's not normal. He did diagnose some other various problems my car has but did not sell me on doing the repairs right away. They don't deserve a star. If you're a female, avoid at all costs because they think you're clueless. I took my car because of the check engine sign appeared and the AC was letting out hot air. The manager, William, said the AC needed more gas and that the check engine sign was a tool sensory problem. I wanted the AC fixed ASAP so he made me wait an hour and a half for some gas to be put in. He said he would order the parts for my car and give me a call to bring the car in. He never called so I called and he said he didn't order the part yet and that I should come in the following day. He said it would only take a couple of days and that he would personally take care of it so I left it. A week had passed and I didn't receive any notice regarding it so I called again. He said that it's ready and that I should come in to pick it up. I went and asked if he had given it a test drive to see if the check engine sign appeared. He said, " I was too busy so I didn't fix it but the other guy did. And when I fix a car I always test drive it before giving it to the customer but that guy doesn't so, no, we didn't test drive it. But it's fine just take it home." On the way home the sign appeared, after a mere 7miles. I called right away and took it back the next day. Mind you, the part is $100 and I paid $650 in cash(it was $700 and they gave me a "discount"). He said that this time he would again, PERSONALLY fix and make sure the sign is gone. A week went by and when I called them they said they needed more time. Another week flew by and the car wasn't ready. When I asked him why it took so long he said they were short on staff and that I should complain to the boss, who hasn't been coming in since the pandemic started. He said to call him and ask him to speed up the work which is useless because they accept all cars, even if there is no space or time. So in total my car has been there for three weeks. Towards the end of the third week I was already pissed off so I just went without calling. You could tell that it's been parked there ever since I left it there. He said "give me one more day. I haven't had time to work on it because so many cars have been coming in." I called before going the next day. He said, " come pick up your car". I go, he says check out the car. The engine shuts off. My car was running perfectly fine until this amateur fucked it all up. My mom, who has been driving me back and forth from this place was pissed off and asked him what was going on. He said, "I couldn't check the car for the last two weeks because I've been busy. The boss told me to tell you to pick up the car but I didn't want you to take the car in this condition." So the boss, who is highly aware of the situation told the manager to tell me to take my car since they couldn't fix it. The engine was shaking like crazy and it kept shutting off. If you don't know how to fix it, you should've told me to take it elsewhere, that you can't fix it. But no, they chose to look me in the eye and try to charge me even more by fucking up my car. It was obvious that they didn't want to take responsibility for it. I have to get on the highway to go back home and if I were to have gotten into an accident they definitely wouldn't have taken responsibility for it. People I'm doing you a favor. Stay away. My car is still there since the engine doesn't run. They are not honest. All auto shops want your money but these assholes charge you whatever they want. read more
