In addition my snarf stopped working I don't know why (but I know that I put it in it worked and when I took it out it doesn't work anymore, (I'm still checking it and thinking of suing them) In conclusion, don't come to this store, even if they offer you free service! They're not even worth it Phone call, I was completely lied to, unprofessional and any other place that worked would have done this job on the day. Went here for a simple inspection last week. They took my car, held on to it for 5 hours, then called me angrily telling me that my car didn't pass the inspection because it needed "significant work on the suspension and that the brakes needed to be changed immediately because it was an emergency/extremely dangerous to drive with them"-followed by someone on the phone screaming at me that if I don't come get my car within half an hour that I'll get a ticket. (My car is a lease with less than 20k miles on it. Good try.) Unprofessional, dishonest, and the total opposite of what I want in a mechanic. I took my car a mile away and got it inspected, (and passed) in 15 minutes. These people are thieves and liars. There was nothing wrong with my brakes, (according to the mechanic who did my next inspection), and I also don't appreciate when my time is wasted and I'm lied to. My advice-avoid this place at all costs and go anywhere else. They act all nice and friendly and just try to screw you in the end and will waste an entire work day for you. Recent hit and run vandalism required me to submit a Geico vehicle claim. I was relegated to seeking a quality repair facility who I trusted but more importantly would match a painted front bumper on a 13-year old Camry. TERRIBLE customer service! Needed to get my inspection done and called AHEAD of time to ask if they would still be open because it was 4 and they close at 5. They ensured me that they will still be open as I gave them the estimated time of my arrival. I arrived at the time that I said I would, 4:15 and lo and behold! The "manager" says that they are closed and can't service us because they "closed their machines already." When i told them that i called ahead and they said that they will be open, the "manager" said, no, I'm the manager, I didn't get that call. We kindly asked if they could open their machines and they refused us. We would not have bothered going there if they had SAID that they would be closed. Never coming back here again. I am a customer of this shop for approximately 6 years. They are reasonably priced and typically do a great job. They fixed so many issues with my Ford Explorer, starting from replacement of a battery to an engine fix quoted by Ford Dealer at $2,700. Needless to say, they did it it for less ($1,900). There were occasional hiccups, but everything was resolved with either mechanics or the owner himself. I have worked with 3 Ford repair shops and 3 local repair shops in recent years and i can say for sure that this place is the best. Got into an accident and needed body repair to the driver side door. After checking the reviews, I decided to give East Coast a chance and was not disappointed. Dealing with the insurance was a nightmare (still is) but not their fault. They did their part but in the end, I had to pay out of pocket until my insurance company cut me a check a few days later. They fixed all the damage and the paint job looked good as new. The repairs took about a week which was reasonable. There was a billing error involving the insurance deductible that I was not happy about but to my delight, I received a phone call the following day informing me that Emmanuel realized the error on their part and refunded the overpayment to my credit card promptly. I hope to never be involved in an accident again but if I ever needed body work, I would not hesitate to use East Coast or recommend them to anyone else needing same. read more
