Came here for dinner with friends, and we reserved a table in the Listening Room, which allowed us to listen to live music while eating. The band was great, but if you're at a table right next to the stage (which we were) it can be hard to hear your table mates. The food was pretty good. I had the lobster roll with additional garlic french fries. As I'm from the east coast, I have a high expectation for lobster rolls and seafood in general. The lobster roll itself was rather small with not a lot of lobster included. I thought the price of the dish was expensive based on what I got. My boyfriend and I got the roasted brussels and carrots to share, which were delicious. My boyfriend also ordered the Denver Steak at medium rare for his entree. Some pieces of the steak were a bit chewier than expected, but had a good flavor. The drinks and service however were great! I ordered the Cappelletti Rose Spritz which was strong but not too sweet (which I like), and my boyfriend got a beer and a special drink (Bee's Sting), which he enjoyed. Studio Park itself has parking in the building, and you can get parking free with validation from the restaurant. The total for two people with the above (1 appetizer, 3 alcoholic beverages, 2 entrees) was about $95, which was a bit pricier than we expected. It's closer to a $$$ for dinner. read more

One Twenty-Three is usually a great restaurant, but this time our experience was quite the opposite, primarily because of our server, Marques. He was extremely rude to our party of 12, taking an unusually long time to return to our table, and ignoring us when we were ready to place our order. I am upset that he received a $58 tip when his service didn't merit any of it. Every interaction with him was unpleasant--his tone was consistently nasty, and he acted as if serving us was an annoyance. To make matters worse, we tried to make things easier by telling him that 11 out of 12 of us wanted the same smash burger with the same toppings. Instead of acknowledging that, he went around the table taking individual orders and still managed to mess up two of them. We couldn't help but feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Stopped here during a slow afternoon of walking around downtown. There weren't many people in the restaurant however service was a bit slow. The decor and vibe is really nice! We loved the seating options and clean cut vibe. Ordered a pineapple mule which was tasty however only recommend during happy hour due to the cost being $13 with $3 off during happy hour; we felt the drinks were quite overpriced for what you get. Ordered the meatloaf and smash burger with garlic fries. The garlic fries were undercooked however flavor was great! Smash burger was made well; we did not get the sauce on it but they put it on the side. The sauce for the smash burger was quite chunky FYI and we didn't try it. The cook on the actual meatloaf was great however could not really taste the flavor of the meatloaf, asparagus, or mashed potatoes due to the extreme amount of sauce/gravy on the plate. The meal was legitimately swimming in the sauce (pic attached). Had I know it was so much sauce, I would have gotten it on the side however pics here on Yelp are so variable with the meatloaf. Dined with the kids for dinner during ArtPrize this year. Picked this spot because of the location and the validated parking that comes with dining there. Also, there was a live band playing in the courtyard that night and we requested/waited for a table on the alley/outdoor seating spot. While service, location, parking validation and live music was all awesome, the food was not. Both my husband and I ordered dishes with steak on them (he got the gnocchi + steak and I ordered the cooked carrots/brussels + steak) both were less than stellar. For some reason they covered each dish in sprinkled Parm cheese and both were extremely bland. My carrots and Brussels (lack of flavor aside) were just a heap of mush. Furthermore, the cuts of steak weren't great - LOTS of fat. Some people like that, but us not so much. The kids got a hamburger (huge portion for a kids order) and tenders/fries. Those were great. There's one vegan option - mini cauliflower tacos I'd give them a 5/5 however they are small and ~$15 so just be aware of that (I don't believe the menu calls them "mini"). I had a fall inspired sangria which I asked for light ice - didn't receive light ice and of course the whole drink tasted like water within 30 seconds. For that reason, I wouldn't recommend this particular drink. Lastly, while the waiter was nice - the lack of a heads up that the kitchen was closed was something I never experienced before. I was at a table with 8 other people imagine how much additional money the restaurant could have made with a heads up - additional drinks and perhaps dessert. Would I come back? Sure. Party of 2. Tacos, 2 burgers and 3 beers at $75. We found this place looking for a good burger. Got seated at the bar because we didn't want to wait. Definitely get the tacos! Has a very good flavor and loaded with short rib beef, a sweetness and tanginess that made us wanting more than the 3 tacos that came on the plate. We both love heat and were disappointed that this delicious taco did not come paired with some fire. We got the smash burger and the one twenty three burger with the california fries (the california fries are a must! Crispy and full of flavor). In short, we were both unimpressed with our burgers especially after the waiters called the smash burger "the best burger in the state". I had the smash burger and while it was alright, the statement "less is more" comes to mind. The patties tasted like they were dunked in the sauce before being put on a bun that could not handle the amount of sauce. I loved the dill pickles and the caramelized onions but their flavor was masked by the aioli. My partner thought the one twenty three burger came cooked perfectly but was also slathered with too much sauce, overpowering the flavor of the burger without adding much to its overall appeal. Beer selection was good, I am a fan of NEIPA and was glad to find Cloud 19 on tap here. Ambiance is great, though the smell of popcorn wafting in from the theater nextdoor can be off putting if you sit at the bar. Met a friend on Saturday night for dinner, the place was busy. We waited one hour to be seated. Service was okay, portions were disappointing. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered the salmon kale salad. I didn't appreciate the salmon presentation as it was finely chopped and mixed into the salad- unappetizing. A good meal and cute restaurant in what seems to be a fun part of downtown Grand Rapids. We came in without a reservation on a Monday night and were told it would be about an hour wait - luckily two seats at the bar opened up so we squeezed in there. When we sat down, we saw several empty tables that stayed empty throughout the night so maybe they're dealing with staffing issues. Service at the bar was good, and we enjoyed our meal overall. I hoped to have the salmon as it was one of only a few gluten free options, but they were out. They had a meatloaf special that they recommended as an alternative so hubs and I split that and the ribeye which was the other gf choice. The meatloaf was the hands-down winner - crispy edges that were divine and a really yummy and unique sauce. The ribeye was well prepared and fine, just not as flavorful as I would've liked. I absolutely love the atmosphere too...very modern yet cozy. The appetizer of deviled eggs were amazing. My friends and I couldn't decided between the meatloaf or flank steak so we ordered both and shared. The flank steak had an egg on it, which was the perfect combo.
