a box of chips away mini eggs

I've been following on social media for a while and was excited to give them a try when passing through Richmond on my way back home to VAB from a weekend trip. I was greeted when I walked inside quickly and it was a rainy mid-afternoon Monday trip so I think I got lucky because no one else came in the whole time to browse like I was. I did see several items I was interested in, some KitKat bars, some boxes of Oreos, several kinds of chips, cereal, chocolate candy bars and two drinks. However, when I asked the cashier how much the Oreos and bags of KitKats were he informed me $10. What?!? The KitKat bags weren't even full, they had like 10 items in them. Nothing has prices on it at all, so I was immediately much more selective after hearing that. I knew everything was exceedingly marked up. I believe the cereal box was $20 or something crazy so I didn't even bother. In the end, we left with two small-sized bags of chips and one Oreo sleeve for $33. They do have some things I've never seen, but as another reviewer mentioned, I decided to search Amazon and found a lot of the items I saw, for like $6 here and there. I think it's great that this place has carved out a space for themselves doing something so unique, and a following on social media, they've figured out how to do that well by sharing what everyone chooses so people can see stuff and wanna go try it, but WOW the prices are high! If I'd gotten all the things I wanted... I would've spent $95 on like 8 snacks. I have a whole new appreciation for some of the purchases I see on Instagram now, bc they're like $350. I would've probably been more likely to spend a bit more money on a few more items if not so high. It was a cool stop once - but after now knowing the prices, it was a one and done for me!

How you stay open with expired products? $9 for a bag of chips and $8/9 for candy bar. Everyone needs to start going to the international mart on broad cause I seen most of this in there for 1/2 the price and Walmart to. Check the Tokyo shop in Carytown also. I don't mind supporting small businesses but don't gouge ppl like this.

Small little market with extremely overpriced mostly-Asian imports (some with 7-11 logos). Was hoping for some snacks from Germany, Britain, Turkey. No prices on most items, so be prepared to pay up big-time at checkout. $20 for a Pepsi Cream Soda. They do have some American snacks and drinks. Entertainment 6/10 but value 2/10.

I'd seen a news story about this spot but totally forgot to visit it the last time I was in town. This time I remembered. One of my favorite things to do in any country is to go to grocery stores and markets because I feel like I get to learn so much about what people are eating and snacking on. Bags of chips are always something I purchase for souvenirs or for my own enjoyment so I definitely had to try One Way Market. When I'm stateside I love to visit Asian, big-box grocery stores to try different snacks but One Way Market is different in the sense that they carry, primarily brands from the U.S. but flavors or editions that are not released here. For example I've always marveled at how different Doritos are in the U.S. compared to Canada so it was eye-opening and fun to try Doritos for all over the world. The prices aren't cheapest but still, you got pay for exclusivity, but this is a wonderful place to loose yourself for a bit and to get a fun snack for a coworker or a friend and something for yourself too.

This is an amazing, warm and inviting store. It's set up like a corner store which made me happy. Taking a look at the shelves you'll find snacks from all over the world. Chips and cookies, candy bars and Cheetos. Dorito salsa! It is a small space packed with big flavors. The owner was very nice. He answered all my questions and entertained my active children as they danced around the store. He gave us everything (we got a lot ‍) in a super nice box. He carried the box to the car for us. It was all around an amazing experience. We got stickers with the stores logo and we got tagged on the stores Instagram. In the heart of RVA, I drove down from Newport News and was not at all disappointed. I will be returning...... a lot!!

One Way Market is the spot in RVA & VA for any and all international/exotic snacks. I've been coming around for a few months now, and have always been blown away from the selection and constant updated stock. The owner is good people and always asks how I am/what's up. Some other reviews are about price, which I would like to point out that the prices at One Way are comparable if not cheaper than most online international/exotic retailers. I've done the research to see what it would take to get some of these items, and between product and shipping alone, it ain't cheap! Shout out to One Way for always having rare items at a good price on top of a cool market with the essentials as well.

    Sample of snacks!

Great place to get exotic snacks that you can't get anywhere else!! A huge selection of snacks you would never see in the US, while visiting RVA definitely go here!
