First time trying Onezo and it was so good! We got the Brown Sugar Bubble Latte and it was really tasty and fresh. The bobas at the bottom of the cup were still warm when I took a sip which is exactly the way I like my brown sugar bubble teas to be. The interior design of this place was also super cute! The quality of the milk tea isn't as good as the others though--Tiger Sugar, Machi Machi, to name a few. But those have not spot for you to sit and just hang out with your friends. Marking the first day of the new year with a new review! Onezo send to have recently opened a location in Allston. We happened to chance on it as we were walking back with our takeout order from Mala. Knowing that we're in for a spicy treat, we decided to grab a sweet drink to tone it down a bit. The menu wasn't the easiest to read. While they do have sections for tea vs. slush, their top 10 isn't marked accordingly. We first ordered the grapefruit 'tea' but thankfully we were told that it's a slush before we confirmed the order. We switched our order to a large Thai milk tea. As a topping, some of the options we were considering (cheese foam) weren't available. I'd suggest thinking over what you want to order before you get to the counter but keeping an open mind because they may not have everything that shows up on their menu board. We finally went with black sesame bubble (they call it bubble, not boba - not sure why). Their menu didn't show if we could adjust sugar levels or ice but the person at the register did ask us so we requested for 70% sugar and no ice. The drink took a minute or so to be ready. And it was delicious. Very fresh, not too sweet. Tasty chewy bubble. Good quantity. We'll look forward to stopping by everytime we get a spicy meal next door! Their desserts (souffles with so many different types of toppings) also look mouthwateringly good, so that's an order for the future! I was very impressed by One Zo's selection of bubble tea and toppings! I got the Real Fresh Fruit Tea and loved how there were actual pieces of fruit in the tea. The tea itself was really delicious and they definitely delivered on my 'low sugar' ask. The one tip I will give is that their brown sugar boba is REALLY sweet. It tasted like it was drenched in brown sugar. Because of the boba bubbles, my tea ended up being really sweet even though I got a low sugar tea. The soufflé game at One Zo is on point. I have been to the one in Chinatown and was so happy to see that they had one of these in Allston. The place is so cute inside - about four round tables for you to dine-in (they are open for dine-in during Covid too). the decor is marble, gold, and on point for my ABG, basic girl lifestyle. And huge plus for making the perfect IG photo. We ordered the fruit Tea which comes with Fresh Passion Fruit Green Tea. It was so yummy and refreshing! We also ordered their mango and cheese soufflé's which is a collaboration with ZZ Dessert. It takes about 15-20 minutes for them to make this, but every time I order one of these, I melt a little bit inside. Its so freaking delicious and FLUFFY! It's also not overwhelmingly sweet and has the perfect cheese to sugar balance. I also ordered their milk bubble tea soufflé at the Chinatown location, and this was probably my favorite on since it came topped with the chewy boba tapioca balls. If anything, I come to One Zo for their souffles since they do it so well and can't really find this anywhere else! Overall, the place is super consistent - they always have phenomenal drinks that aren't overly sweet and really good desserts that taste so high quality and aesthetically pleasing. The HK style milk tea is not HK style milk tea. Just like regular boba milk tea. Not bad but don't expect HK milk tea when you order it. Cheese souffle - The souffle is not very spongy nor soft. Super cute place for studying/ hanging with friends/ just chilling on a super hot day. Aesthetics are so cute and the boba is amazing. My go to is always their bamboo charcoal latte with sesame boba but their fruity drinks are really good too! Probably one of my favorite boba places in Boston since they have so many different flavors of tapioca (not just honey or brown sugar like other places have). The seats are rather limited though so if you're coming with a large party, I'd recommend getting your boba and going elsewhere to chill. read more

This review is mostly for their bubble tea since I have not tried their other desserts! I really appreciate how One Zo aims to create really unique flavors of boba to pair with their milk teas! Their sesame boba is pretty interesting and I really like the flavor of their Hong Kong milk tea! The downside is that I feel like because they are trying to do a lot, everything ends up being about average. The brown sugar boba was a bit too mushy, not bouncy/chewy feeling, and didn't really have a strong brown sugar taste to it. The Hong Kong milk tea flavor was really nice, but felt diluted. Overall, I would probably come here if I wanted something interesting to drink, but I wouldn't consider this my favorite boba place in Boston. read more

You know, I gotta admit, I really was not so sure if the saturated boba market in Allston had room for another establishment. I was close to writing One-zo off. My girlfriend, however, did suggest that we try it, because she had a pleasant experience with the Quincy location. So I decided to give it a shot with her yesterday. Long story short - we went back for seconds this morning. So yeah. But in all seriousness, we've tried the brown sugar latte, the hong kong milk tea, and the One-zo milk tea so far. But that HK milk tea is something SPECIAL. And the brown sugar bubbles are so SOFT and delicious. I am impressed with One-zo because it combines some unique signature items that they specialize in along with very good fundamentals (One-zo milk tea). The interior/vibe of the store also looks good for hanging out with friends. It's definitely among the best boba places I've been to in Boston, bordering on my top 2 along with Gong Cha. I love the bubble tea at One Zo! The Allston location is very clean, aesthetic, and spacious. Perfect for photos or to grab a seat for a bit (as of now tables are still open). The tapioca pearls are very chewy, I believe they are made fresh in-store. I got the Hong Kong milk tea which is amazing and I also tried the milk pudding. They have puddings in these dinosaur egg containers and soufflé pancakes made by ZZ Dessert. I haven't tried the pancakes, but the pudding is decent. I mainly bought it for the egg container lol. OneZo's Worcester location is great too. I haven't been to Chinatown or Quincy yet. read more

I was thrilled when I saw that OneZo was going to open up in Allston. Yup, another boba shop in the area..! Nevertheless, I've been here a couple of times since it has opened its doors. My first time, I got the brown sugar latte with brown sugar boba. The boba stays chewy and perfect for HOURS. The milk tea latte is not too sweet, but not flavorless. It's just the perfect creaminess and texture that creates a great drink. My boyfriend loves the taro milk tea with whatever boba selection they have that day. The taro milk tea is very sweet but silky. I recommend getting less sugar on that if you don't want to gain any cavities. The burnt caramel drink is also really good, however, it tasted like plain milk tea, so I would probably not get that again. What's unique about OneZo is that they create their own flavors of boba for the day in store! Other stores have a viewing area of how they make their boba, but this shop is hidden in the back due to the way the store is structured. I've tried different flavors of boba such as sweet potato, brown sugar, chrysanthemum, and taro. All are chewy and delectable and have a subtle hint of its flavor! It's not too overpowering. I can't wait to be back and try more flavors of boba. read more

AND the interior is AMAZING. They have a BALL PIT, and a leafy wall! And CLOUD LIGHTS (I love clouds) . I really don't understand why there is a line out of tiger sugar every day when this is here . I was so excited to see One Zo open up in Allston! It's replaced Chatime and Beard Papas. I've been to the One Zo in Quincy and the quality is just as good! They have a few tables inside, have markings on the ground of where to stand, and plastic barriers for where you order. The place feels a lot more open than before with smaller tables and chairs. I ordered the black charcoal latte with black sesame boba and tin guan yin tea with sweet potato boba. I would suppose black charcoal doesn't have too much taste, but the black sesame boba I paired it with gave it all the flavor it needed! The charcoal tends to separate, so remember to give it a good mix before drinking! The tin guan yin tea was great and the sweet potato boba was very subtle and matched quite well. Both drinks had a good boba to tea ratio. I love that there are so many different flavored bobas to try and I will definitely be going back for more drinks! You can also get delivery through Chowbus if you're close by. read more

Tried going to OneZo one evening around 9:30PM, which is 30 until closing. Walked in, no employees in sight. I took a few steps to the right, and saw a male and female employee making out in the back. I called out to them to ask for service and they told me they were closed and gestured me to leave. Open sign was still on, door was unlocked, looked pretty open to me. And again, this was 30 minutes until 10PM, their said closing time. If the employees can do this without consequences and making the work area unsanitary, then I refuse to go here .. which is a disappointment cause their bubble tea is actually pretty good. One of the more authentic bubble tea places in the Boston area. The tea tastes very fresh and the brown sugar boba is very legit. One comment I will make is regarding the quality of the plastic cups the boba sits in. While slurping on the boba it felt as if the cup was dismembering itself because it was so flimsy, so I had to blow air through the straw to get the cup to it's original position. read more

My first time here, they have so many enticing options, but after going on a literal eating spree, I chose a healthy option. It was the Real Fresh Fruit tea. Literally, a bunch of fruits all mixed in together, but I added an additional topping of coconut jellies. As for covid countermeasures, they have a speaker system attached through a barrier to place your order. So many bubble tea places in Allston, but I think this is the better option for sure compared to Kung Fu Tea or Gong Cha if you prefer well made bubbles and unique flavored drinks. The biggest difference is their bubbles, they have a variety of flavors and I believe it is also made in house. Although I think it is a little sweet for my liking, it is definitely well made.
