Do Not Rent Here! They load you up with concessions and then make their money on the back end of you moving out. Once you "move out" they charge you outrageous fees! Submitted photos of cleaned out apartment and you have to dispute the charges through corporate office. They delete all your maintenance request in the system so make sure to save everything. Corporate is not super helpful at all with disputing against the building for fraudulent charges. They don't follow policies of the lease or conduct proper walkthroughs so you have support if charges come through. Edit after company response: The lease was not followed. Management is responsible for the appliances and repairs. Called numerous times to fix old appliance in unit. You pay a premium to live with subpar appliances. Charged for appliance once we left. It was on its last leg when we moved in. Had to call maintenance multiple times and they would fix it with random parts. Also, leasing representative must be present to walkthrough unit with you upon move out. This did not happen. We were told to drop off keys. I took photos of unit. Please see past reviews to see how clean unit was. Still was charged extra cleaning fee. Again, be prepared to spend EXTRA money leaving this place if you rent here. There are other reviews stating the same thing! Shooting in building did occur, and we were not given much information. Another reason why we were eager to leave. I relocated here for work in April, Kaeley was wonderful helping facilitate everything remotely. It's really stressful moving across the country, especially within a two month time frame. Everyone at One333 from leasing agents, management, our wonderful front desk and maintenance team, made this move the right one for me. The building is a high-rise, with that comes the perks and views that you just can't get in the suburbs. If you want to be in an up-and-coming neighborhood with close by eats, a Trader Joe's and Jewel literally right on the light home you'll love it here. One333 will always have a special place in my heart because I absolutely loved living there. Everyone from concierge staff to maintenance to managers were incredibly sweet, helpful, and kind and their friendly demeanor always made me feel at home. For some, these may not be important but they became extremely important to me especially during the pandemic when I could not connect with my loved ones in person. The unit I lived in was amazing and a really good size for one person. The den is very spacious and can accommodate a lot of items. Besides the nice floor plan and incredible view, One333's location is just perfect. Everything is in walking distance - from the stores to the museums. I want to give a shout out to Bobby Ayars, the Community Manager for being extremely thoughtful, helpful and empathetic towards me during my stay there. He's one of a kind, and goes above and beyond to make residents comfortable. I appreciate everything you do for us to a very wonderful degree, Bobby! I do not yet know any details of the hotel, as I can't get in. This is some kind of new age experiment in running a hotel without people. Hotels.com didn't say that there is no checkin desk. Instead, you have to do a very complicated remote checkin process, supposedly 3 days in advance of arrival. They are supposed to send you instructions, but never did, so i ended up trying to check in while on a plane on my way to Chicago. Suffice to say that their checkin software was too burdensome for the airline wifi network. I ended up having to find a different hotel, and fighting to get my money back. Nonetheless, I still wanted the remaining 5 nights (paid in advance) so I tried a better network. After half an hour on the phone with their "concierge" people, i was able to complete the procedure -- I thought! Instead, an hour later i got an email from them "Your account is not yet approved because we are missing a clear photo of your government issued ID. This could be your driver's license or your passport." So still, I'm not checked in, even though I uploaded copies of my drivers license, passport card and passport. Do note -- unless their automated system approves you, you don't get an email with key code to the front door and your room, so you have no reservations. All this so they can save a few dollars on a reception desk! Once I finally get this resolved, I will never stay at one of their properties. read more

I've lived in a lot of places over the years, and this building is in my top three, hands down. I'll be moving to Denver in six months, and I'm genuinely sad to leave this community and my amazing apartment. What I loved: - Unparalleled and unobstructed views from our location in the city. I'm in a corner unit and I can see from Soldier Field / the lake to the Sears Tower with no obstruction. The gold and purple sunsets that stream into my living room at dusk are something I will remember for the rest of my life. - Management, concierge staff, and maintenance are super super friendly and quick to respond; especially now that Bobby is working the office and they got rid of their previously rude manager. In that vein, they actually listen to tenant complaints and adapt accordingly. - Concrete ceilings and other fixtures are beautiful. - My balcony is HUGE. It runs the entire length of my living room and bedroom. - I love the coffee bar! Free coffee until 11am in the lobby :) - My neighbors are generally very nice. I've only had one or two rude tenants to interact with... and that one dude and his dumb-looking beard moved out. - The free PrintWithMe printer in the business center is convenient - Prices are pretty deece. I have a 1050 sq foot 2bed/2bath and I pay less than at any other building I researched before moving. - The vending machine in the lounge offers stuff like detergent (don't eat it) for laundry emergencies, Advil etc, and of course snacks. It's pretty convenient for winter nights when you don't feel like waiting for delivery and don't want to go outside. - The dog washing station is so convenient. What I disliked: - The dog potty space sucks. They used to have a full outside area for the dogs to run and play, and now there is nowhere for that to happen. Instead it's just a big patch of grass that no one uses. - The microwave is hard to open and close and the looooong beeps are super annoying. read more

I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could give half stars. The apartments are beautiful! I absolutely love my actual apartment. The appliances are new, views unbeatable, and I can't hear my upstairs neighbors walk around all night. For us, the apartment is worth some of the other annoyances. That being said, the property management is incredibly unorganized. From the move in (there was no actual closet built in the master closet) to getting a tow notice put on my car (even though we pay for parking and clearly have our parking tag displayed), communication is rough at best. I don't agree with the other reviews about lack of response for maintenance requests - maybe we've been lucky, but all of our requests have been handled within a day. Our AC took multiple rounds of work to fix and the maintenance staff was incredibly helpful! While the other reviews about the amenities are fair, you know what you're getting when you sign the lease. We knew the gym was smaller than others in the area, the dog run small, etc. While the building has things they can work on, a lot of these reviews seem a bit whiny and unjustified. Just know what you're signing - if you want a nicer gym, look elsewhere. They're also working on improving the 4th floor amenities area, so maybe things will get better. However, all of the reviews about safety and the front door staff are completely justified. There is one really friendly doorman who works weekends that will stop people and ask how your day is going, but other than that, there's zero effort being made. It's gotten to the point where I tell friends just to come on up because I know they will not be stopped. None of my visitors have been asked to sign in in months. Definitely makes me question safety and wonder why the building pays for a door staff. read more

Preface this review to say that the units are nice - meaning the walls that contain your apartment. The rest of the building and management are very sub-par for the price you pay. I have been here ONLY TWO MONTHS and know I will not be renewing - see the fun history below. Maintenance requests go unresolved, there is no working AC in the gym (it's 90 degrees out), the elevator makes a frighteningly loud an unsafe noise (went unacknowledged for weeks until residents spoke up on message board and still no recent inspection certs), there is no security from the front desk (they leave unattended and still allow the automatic door to open to anyone even without a key), MY BIKE WAS STOLEN FROM THE GARAGE along with that of other residents on Friday, the "bike storage" is an absolute cluster, the common amenities area has weeds growing throughout and reeks of dog urine. A problem tenant on my floor was evicted after what my neighbors say was months of complaints - and suddenly that unit flooded including 3 floors below. I only found out due to restoration crews working well past midnight on a Sunday tearing up the unit, running fans, screaming in the halls - never acknowledged by Habitat. For the price you pay, you can do WAY better. ALSO NOTE - when I moved in there was a competition to boost their ratings - hence all the positive reviews in April and May.... read more

I love living here and would recommend it to friends and family. Our apartment is modern, comfortable, spacious, with tons of natural light. The staff here is phenomenal -- so friendly, prompt, and helpful. Everything is kept sparkling clean. our dog was pet of the month and they gave us the sweetest Bark Box to congratulate her, and her photo was up in the lobby all month. We have a parking spot, love the gym, use the common areas and patio frequently, love our balcony, and enjoy the close public transportation. Would recommend. read more

We moved into 1333 in March. So have been living here for about 2 months now. This was the first high rise building we have lived in while living in Chicago. Although we toured many other buildings, this one exceptionally stood out to us. From our first initial tour with Anthony (who was amazing), up until our move in day, the staff was extremely accommodating to us. Living here has truly improved our quality of life... we used to live in Lincoln Park, where things were much more difficult for us. The building is ALWAYS clean (even the common areas where you would expect a mess at times), there is always a staff member at the front to monitor who comes in, they call you when you have a guest, you get emails when you have packages, extremely dog friendly, maintenance responds quickly, they have resident events often... I could go on and on. We truly are happy with the decision we made and will 150% be signing our lease here again. The best part about this building is that EVERYONE seems to be happy that lives here. I would not recommend living here. My roommate and I lived here for 18 months during the pandemic. The front door staff are super friendly! However, the office staff was not helpful, especially during move out. We moved out without issue and even hired a cleaning crew to come in, the place was spotless. We were charged $800 for scratches on the fridge that were not there when we moved out. We asked for an itemized list and proof that it was our unit in which they showed us they bought an entire new fridge as well as something for the oven. For "proof" they simply took a photo of our unit number and attached it to an email. We were loyal and prompt tenants and we are very unsatisfied with how the situation was handled. We tried to reach out and resolve this multiple times and they sent us to a debt collector and stopped returning our calls. read more

DON'T MOVE TO THIS LOCATION! There are so many nicer buildings in the area. Do not waste your money on this trash building. Building management recently changed and everything has gone downhill. They offer the very basic amenities. The appliances and fixtures in the apartment are cheap and break down. When you put in a work order for replacements they TRY TO CHARGE YOU for repairs!!! WHAAAAT??? Not only that, the door managers are rude. They do not greet you. they look so angry everyday. Who wants to come home to that? Also, BIKES ARE BEING STOLEN IN THE BUILDING AND MANAGEMENT SAID "OH WELL". Hundreds of bikes have been stolen since May and it's still happening. Management never sent an email informing the residents of this or to let them know to move their bikes from its designated area. They have been aware and did nothing. They are doing nothing. In addition to the above the building management SUCKS! They are lazy, disorganized and rude. This is coming from a resident that rarely complains about anything. When you come to them with a problem they never have a solution. They just dismiss it. They do not have a priority to make residents feel at home. They just want to collect more money like the money is coming to their individual pockets or something. Kallie in the leasing office is by far one of the most patient and kindest leasing person I've ever worked with and I've lived in several apartments in several states. The building is super dog friendly and you will probably encounter one on a daily basis but they're all friendly and my dog loves it. My wife and I have been living in the building for almost a year. No complaints on our end at all. The community space is nice. We had family in town for Thanksgiving and we rented out the kitchen area. Space was perfect for what we needed. The best thing about the building is how dog friendly they are. Before submitting my application, I asked multiple times about the security of the building and whether amenities were truly private. I was told the amenities were only available to residents.... what they did not tell me was that "residents" aren't necessarily lease-holders, as the building rents out vacant rooms on hotels.com and Expedia... You can see the listings under 'Stay Alfred Hotels.' When I asked them about this, they said that hotel guests are still considered residents and go through a "very very thorough background check." You decide for yourself if you feel comfortable living in a building where anyone can rent a room. I did not and am now out several hundred dollars on an application fee due to their lack of transparency and withholding of vital information about the true security of the building. read more

We have lived here over a year and have never had an issue. We just signed our next lease.

Do not live here. I have been here for 6 months. From the beginning I realized that the finishings are cheap.. paint is the lowest quality you will ever find, "wood" floors scratch with ease, counters stain immediately. Each month has presented with a different problems. New dishwasher- replaced within 1 week of moving in. Garbage disposal- leaked in the whole kitchen. Bathroom sink drain break- flooded the bathroom cabinet. Front main door- broken and non- accessible. We call maintenance when these issues arise and the standard for response is within "72 hrs", we've been waiting for a bathroom pipe leak for one month. We have overheard issues with bike theft so didn't consider their amenity of "bike storage" an option. Most recently, we have had 3 packages for three different vendors gone missing. Each concern is greeted with destain and annoyance for what seems to be within their job tiltle, yet it is consistently pushed to someone else. No one here has answers or is trying to fix any foundational issues. From management to general building structure, do not live here. read more

Management is terrible. They ignore issues that you bring to their attention and don't return emails or calls. It started when I moved in and continued after I moved out. The icing on the cake was realizing that there had been a mixup at ComEd and my electricity and gas wasn't cancelled when I moved out. Instead of doing the right thing and alerting me to the situation, management ran up the bill. My husband tried to call them about the situation multiple times but they won't return our calls. You will like your unit, it is well laid out and the views (except the east side now that there's a high rise that entire side will have to look into) are great. Good insulation and since there's plenty of concrete you won't have to listen to your neighbors every move. Outside of your actual unit this place is sub-par, even bad in many areas. 1. Amenities. Easily the worst amenities I have seen in any modern high rise in the city. Tiny gym without working air, a patio with a few (mostly non-working) grills that happen to be next to the "dog walk area" (15 square foot patch of astro turf that has years of pee and poo soaked into it, making the entire area smell terrible). 2. Maintenance requests will take significantly longer than you expect, and will often be less than ideal (not the fault of the maintenance people themselves, they are nice people and go out of their way to do what they can. But they're not given the parts, money or ability to do what they need to do. Turnaround in these situations will leave you scratching your head for a long time wondering what's going on). Fat chance getting your *insert anything with moving parts* fixed within a week. Have a light out? Easy fix. Have a scuff you want looked at? No problem. Have an A/C, dishwasher, heater, washing machine, dryer, electric or water heater issue? You're SOL, that will take a long, long time due to managements inability to have a proper backfill of commonly broken appliance parts and replacements. 3. Neighbors on some floors are obviously pot dealers or are living with pot dealers, they make half of the hallway smell, and will often smell up the elevator. Neighbors with ill-trained dogs that refuse to pick up their dogs hallway waste or clean up a spot they made. Normally would be a non-issue, as most places will have a cleaning crew to assist. I have never seen someone clean up various spots, stains, and odors since I moved in, even after bringing it up to the people at the front desk. (Cont.) 3.5. I was witness to a dead dog on the sidewalk in a plastic bag that looks to have been thrown from an west looking unit down to the street. This is the type of person you would want in a prison or mental asylum, not residing in the same building in which you live. Absolutely abhorrent behavior. Talked with a man that works here that confirmed he also believes it to be the case. I will keep his name to myself as to not have any repercussions go onto him, as he does not do the background checks or have the ability to say "no" to perspective new tenants. 4. Recyclilng all must be put downstairs. Seems fine in theory, terrible in practice. Everyone has to use the elevators for their recycling, very often leaving spots in the hallways and elevators making the place smell worse than it already did with liquid and residue from recyclable items leaking. 5. Management/Front Office. I can only think of one specific front door person that even acknowledges me. I don't need them to say anything, or even look like they're not furious about sitting there (which they do). But they look at me like they've never seen me before or care that I'm entering the building. This bothers me knowing that other people that don't actively live there are just waltzing in (and often stealing bikes, which have been taken in the tens). I have never once been stopped, asked whom I was if I didn't have a key, or even said as much as a "good afternoon" except for the man that works nights on the weekends. I'm not sure why they're around other than to give people their delivered packages. They certainly don't monitor any cameras or stop people from entering the premises. More often than not they're playing on their tablet or phone, watching videos and talking to their friends ignoring anyone that doesn't actively go up to the desk and ask for assistance. Management on a whole is obviously new to the building and how green they are shows, I'm not sure where they're spending the money on the building, but it certainly doesn't seem like it's spent on updating or renovating problem areas This is a building with a luxury price with 0% luxury outside of your unit. Pros - Your unit is above par with other equally priced neighborhood high rises. Everywhere Wireless (internet provider) is fast and cheap, significantly better than Comcast or ATT. Maintenance are good guys doing the best they can with what they're given. Cons - Literally everything else you can think of that encompasses this building and its management. I expect a copy pasted response to this from management saying something along the lines of "This is not what we strive to provide for our tenants, please email us below so we can help better our building." This will be the most they do to fix their issues. I and many others I have talked to have already done so without change or notification that things WILL change. I no longer have faith in their methods, and will absolutely not be renewing when my lease expires. read more

Management here is absolutely awful: unprofessional and nonchalant about issues you bring to their attention. Be expected to pay for an 'assigned' monthly parking spot then have outside guests park in your spot on average 1-3 times per month. Here they do not tow cars for 24 hours, leaving the renter (who is paying to park) inconvenienced. Again, know that your time living in this building will be repetitively bringing issues to managements attention to NOT be addressed. If you have the patience for that, you shouldn't be living in Chicago because this is unacceptable; I HIGHLY advise looking elsewhere. I wish I took these reviews into consideration prior to signing my lease as nothing has changed. read more

Depending on what you are looking for, i.e. just a nice unit or a building with the whole package, consider all of your needs before moving here. Units are generally very nice inside. Everything else is pretty disappointing, if you were expecting the "luxury" apartment living that is advertised. But my main concern here is safety. For coding reasons the front door staff cannot lock the front doors (the one exception being if they leave to use the restroom). Example, usually there are two sets of doors; the first set is open to everyone, the second set is a fob entrance. Not here. If you act like you live here, you can walk right in, with access to the garage, building amenities, and every resident floor. No fob needed. Our front door staff turnover is concerning in that there is a new face every couple months. There is a camera in the front where door staff sits, one in the back by the trash, one by the gym, and one in the elevators. There is no camera in the downstairs communal area where you might wait for an Uber or the elevator, nothing near the mailboxes or 1st floor hallways, and a huge portion of the back alley are all unmonitored. I requested that a few extra cameras be put in throughout some of these common areas and hallways back in November, and despite that the building actually has extra cameras on-hand already, management has not installed them. One of the bigger concerns is the building's willingness to allow Pelican and Stay Alfred guests. This is like air bnb. Management will tell you that the guests are "background checked". This is false, they are actually US Public Records Checks, not the same thing. A number of the guests I've seen check-in appear to be from other countries (no US background to check), with a lot of luggage and speaking little English. This is from basically eavesdropping but also through conversation, plenty do speak English. These guests are not confined to a specific floor. Recently, I came home to a drug bust happening 3 doors down from my apartment and everyone (some 9 or 10 undercover cops) was in a bullet proof vest. I have met with management numerous time on these issues unfortunately, with no resolution. Other minor annoyances: -Washer only fills up halfway, can't hardly wash a full set of sheets. -Thin walls, our old neighbor sneezed a lot and we could hear it every day. -Front entrance and elevators smelling like dog pee. -There is no space reserved for move-ins, so they have people park their move-in trucks in the back alley. On what is probably a weekly basis, I run into a situation in which I cannot get into the garage due to this issue. There has been a time where there was more than one move-in scheduled for the same time slot, so since there are only 3 elevators, they reserve 2 for the move-ins and the rest of us share a single elevator for 29 floors. -One of the elevators was out of order from December thru March. -Direct TV only. -Air conditioning seems to break in the hallways often. -That free coffee they advertise? It's free! (If they have any in-stock that week...) -Grills have broken doors hanging off and swinging in the wind. -Dog "run" - tiny space. Hold your breath and clean your pup's feet after! -Outdoor lights were broken the first 6 months we lived here.(Doesn't matter why when it's 6 months, does it?) -Elliptical broken for months. -Loose floorboards in unite prior to move-in rendered "unfixable". -Any communal space hallway stains (such as outside the trash chute) go uncleaned unless specifically requested. Our floor had stains near the trash chute and elevators for the first 6 months we lived here, and to this day they are still there, just "less so". -Massive flooding incident on some lower floors. Some positives are: -The events the building hosts, which are primarily discounts through an app but include the occasional on-site wine tasting, yoga or hiit class, or a promotional vendor (such as a chiropractic office or Freshly in the downstairs lobby with samples). RSVP? Yes. Confirmation emails? Nope. -The maintenance staff consists of at least 2 gentlemen who are incredibly friendly, and are capable of fixing things....but be prepared to wait a few weeks. This is potentially a function of the admin woman on the 15th floor slacking a bit with work orders. -If you lock yourself out, they don't charge you to let you back in. -Proximity to the L and 2 grocery stores. -Management seems inexperienced, although there is a new manager who just started recently. (Unfortunately, another negative to overshadow a potential positive: the assistant building manager is....not the sharpest knife in the dishwasher, if I'm being generous.) This apartment building is not the worst building out there, it's simply just not worth the money being charged and has quite a few issues. Boyfriend and I don't know anyone who has renewed their lease here and all of our neighbors have either turned over, or the apartments are vacant. read more

Too often i can smell weed all over the units and all over the hall ways and when it was reported to management they don't even bother responding.
