I had to travel to Washington, DC for an in-person (yes, they still exist!) meeting and training…read moresession. Well I didn't want to drive and as for Amtrak's Capitol Train, well see my review....As I was staying on the Maryland side of things, Southwest had the best schedule going in and out of BWI. Southwest had gotten a bad rap over the past few years, but they did get me to and from PIT on time. Having boarding group A and TSA Pre-Check was a plus. Oh and I did get my little snacky-snack a nd drink.

My wife and I were on Flt 156 from ABQ to PIT on 03/28/2026. When we arrived at ABQ airport, we…read moresaw that flight was delayed. We went to customer services to see if this delay would impact the connecting flight from LAS to PIT. The SW Rep told us that the delay was from a flight crew matter (timing out and getting a new crew) for the flight from Phoenix to ABQ, which would be the plane to take us to LAS. Due to the amount of delay, he indicated that it was impossible to make the connection. He tried to re-route us for about 15 minutes. Because SW Air doesn't reciprocate with other airlines, there were limited options. The counter rep (who was very helpful) gave us three options: (1) He could get us to either Columbus OH or Cleveland OH and take a flight the next day and get a rental a car and drive from Cleveland or Columbus to PIT, or (2) Go to LAS, stay overnight (at our expense and fly out in the morning), or (3) Stay in Albuquerque another night (at our expense) and fly out on a 5:50 AM flight ABQ to LAS and then onto PIT. We chose option #3, since it seemed most reasonable and least costly. The delay changed our schedules (as we lost the day that we expected to be at home) and we did have to get an UBER for approximately $45 in the morning for our 5:50 AM Flight (#153, ABQ to LAS). Because it was a SW issue the Customer Service Rep told us that this qualified for a LUV voucher because it was a flight crew delay that caused us to miss this flight; he gave us a voucher form to scan and begin the process. He said it could take up to 30 days to process. I submitted a voucher; I received an email that our case was denied because it was less than a 3 hour delay. I called SW Customer Service; after my long explanation they indicated that they couldn't help me, and to resubmit a LUV voucher. I then saw that my miles from the flight never hit my account so I call Rapid Reward help; this Rep added my miles and told me to send a "Complaint" because this was a SW Air issue and it should qualify for a LUV voucher. She indicated that the response I received was an "automated system" response (a person didn't review it) and I needed to file this complaint in order to have a person (rather than an algorithm) review this situation. She was confident that it would qualify for a voucher. I followed her advice and filed a Compliant. It total, I've now spent several hours working my way through this system. The Result: The next day the Complaint Service Rep told me to file for a LUV Voucher, which I had previously done. I looked for the spot to do this on their website, and it was buried somewhere, but I didn't find it. I simply gave up. So despite two SW Air Reps telling me that I qualified for some type of compensation for this problem, and spending several hours trying to follow up, SW Air's change in policy (taking these voucher reviews away from the Customer Rep staff and allocating them to an 'automated system') prevailed. It's not the 'old SW Air' where customers were treated with industry leading customer service.

I've flown with Spirit a lot over the years and I've never really had a bad experience, but the seats no matter where you sit suck if your 6' tall or more unless you get a big seat up front which I've flown on a lot but now they are always sold out before you book a flight it seems. I purchased an emergency exit seat for this flight because they have great leg room but the seats are so narrow due to those stupid metal spacers in between the seats that are in a fixed position. The flight attendants were average at best in the friendliness department but I have flown to several destinations where they were some of the best. Th pilots were nice and friendly. I've flown to EWR out of PIT several times with Spirit and it's usually problem free but this particular flight was delayed for one hour which pissed me off due to it being a late flight already and I had plans in NJ. It was probably due to that drone bs. There was a little turbulence but nothing too bad. It's normal on this route it seems. I sat in an aisle seat and the middle seat was empty and a very nice lady was sitting by the window who I chatted with for a little bit. All-in-all the experience was decent . The prices make flying with Spirit worth any hassles tbh. Safe Travels :)

In March 2026, my husband and I had round-trip flights on American Airlines between Pittsburgh and Miami. Their airfare, of course, cost significantly more than the airfare for a discount airline, but my husband wanted to fly on a non-discount airline in the hopes of having a better experience. We checked in and got our boarding passes without any problems. Our flights departed and landed only slightly late. The employees spoke politely with us. Our luggage was not lost. I did notice that a charger in a chair did not work.

Avoid Checking Bags - AA Will Break Them and Deny Responsibility…read more I recently flew with American Airlines (AA) and they returned my luggage with a wheel completely missing. When I filed a claim, they refused to pay for the damage, claiming a missing wheel is 'normal wear and tear.'. At first, they claimed it because of the overweight which is completely false since there is no record of the overweight when I checked it at the original airport - JFK (my flight is from JFK - PIT with AA) + the luggage was completely fine and functional (the agent of JFK airport will always check that when they checked in your luggage). After first false claim, they now say the damage is "normal wear and tear" which is really ridiculous AND again the DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. If the luggage missing a wheel, it's basically cannot function as a travel luggage. How do you guys classify it as "normal wear and tear"? and if you break something, especially property of your customers, should you step up and take responsibility and make it right to your customers? This is not just poor service; it's a violation of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, which explicitly state that airlines are liable for damage to wheels and handles. If you value your belongings, be warned: American Airlines has a policy of denying structural damage claims and will try to settle with low-value miles rather than taking responsibility. Disappointed!

When Delta doesn't sell all those first class seats early on (typical), Delta will do a "reverse auction" by continually lowering the price of those first class seats, until all the seats are sold.Usually at rock bottom prices. But Delta doesn't want their best customers / Diamond Medallion to see how cheaply they are selling those seats to random customers, so they block us (Diamond Medallion / Loyal customers) from being able to upgrade to First for a fee. On the app, all those first class seats are just X'ed out and unavailable to us!! So next time all you diamond medallion customers are sitting in comfort plus, and wondering who paid those huge prices to get into first class, please know that those are mostly non-loyal customers that bought the seat very inexpensively!! And those inexpensive seats were never made available to you, Delta's best customers! Delta does not take care of the best customers. If I was more motivated, I would post about this a lot. This line also provides quick guidance for updating travel plans, checking flight details, and dealing with unexpected changes, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. **Effortless Booking & Clear Travel Setup** I chose Allegiant Air primarily because of its strong reputation for customer service, convenient West Coast route network, and competitive fares. Compared with several competing carriers, Lufthansa offered the most practical itinerary and convenient departure times for my trip. The booking process was smooth and easy to navigate. Fare options, baggage allowances, seat selections, and upgrade opportunities were clearly displayed, making it simple to customize my trip according to my travel preferences. **Priority Airport Experience & Efficient Flow** My airport experience started positively. Check-in counters were well organized, and airline staff members were courteous and efficient. Security screening moved smoothly, and boarding commenced close to the scheduled departure time. Although the gate area became crowded shortly before departure, the overall boarding process remained relatively organized and stress-free. Call +1 888 825 8012 or +1 888 381 8689 today for fast assistance with your Allegiant Air travel needs. Allegiant Air customer support can help with flight reservations, ticket changes, cancellations, baggage inquiries, seat upgrades, check-in assistance, and other travel-related services. **Comfortable Cabin & Calm Environment** Once onboard, the aircraft appeared clean and well-maintained. Most flight attendants were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the journey. Their positive attitude contributed significantly to the overall experience. However, seat comfort did not entirely meet my expectations. I paid approximately $140 extra for seats that appeared to offer a more comfortable arrangement during booking, only to discover that the actual seating configuration onboard differed slightly from what had been displayed online. My assigned seat, K6, offered limited cushioning, forcing me to use additional pillows and blankets for lower back support during the flight. While manageable on shorter routes, improved seat padding would certainly enhance comfort on longer journeys. **Reliable Journey & Smooth Arrival** The flight departed with only a minor delay and arrived close to schedule. Inflight snack and beverage services were delivered efficiently, and baggage delivery after arrival moved relatively quickly. Unfortunately, customer service before departure proved frustrating. I initially contacted a representative in Seattle regarding flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Portland, where I was informed they could not assist and provided another contact number. After several transfers and repeated explanations, I was eventually redirected back to the original department before finally receiving the information I needed. The aircraft itself looked attractive, and the majority of cabin crew members worked hard throughout the journey. However, cabin cleanliness declined slightly as the flight progressed. A few passengers were loud and inconsiderate, while some lavatories required additional attention after several hours in the air. Although Allegiant Air provided excellent customer-focused service, convenient route options, and professional cabin crews, the inconsistent customer support, disappointing seat comfort, and minor cleanliness concerns overshadowed some of the positives. Would I fly Allegiant Air again? Yes, particularly for travel along the West Coast and across North America. However, before future trips, I would also compare fares and schedules with Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Latam Airlines, Wizz Air, Priceline, Air France, Lufthansa, Allegiant Air and American Airlines to determine which carrier offers the best overall value and onboard experience.

Unrecognizable, refreshed, and revitalized PIT has drastically changed!…read more The construction project complete PIT no longer has the tram, the people movers stand quiet, the tunnel to long term parking is closed, and in its place is a completely new look! The word that comes to mind is expansive as the lobbies and walkways are wide with cathedral height ceilings in places. There is a lot of eye candy from the floor inlays capturing the city's monuments to the small lights in the ceiling that makes it feel like a twinkling night sky. It is beautiful, clean, and polished looking with many tech additions. The downside is that the convenience that once existed in certain areas are gone. Easy access to long term parking is no more with shuttles as the primary method of transport. Not sure if they are going to replace the people movers, the moveable walkways, but if not that makes the airport even more expensive feeling but not in a good way. I appreciated the changes to the TSA checkpoint as it was much faster but the new x-ray system turns out to be slower as it automates the bins. I found myself waiting five minutes for my items to slowly move through the system with no sense of urgency. These small complaints do not negate the improvements! I miss the Rex fossil, but wow I can't help but be impressed with the changes! It is so nice!

From the layout…read more(shaped as an X) to the quick curb-to-gate, PIT has the jump on many airports of similar market size. Drop-off & arrival pick-ups are on different levels (several remodeled airports are doing this) and that helps with congestion. It's just a short walk to security and once you're past that, you walk into a part of the old terminal that has a spacious concourse approach. Food options are separated a bit from the corridors allowing foot traffic to flow better. Plus the food & drink options are pretty solid, from the known to the local, and they're open early (think 5:30 AM-ish). There are Pittsburgh touches (a LOT of things are black & gold) and clean restrooms, making the travel experience much easier. Flying nowadays can be chaotic, so when an airport is doing things right, the average traveler can avoid that dreaded airport stress.
