Cars2Sell, East Windsor NJ - Where "Free and Clear" Apparently Means "We Have No Idea"…read moreIf you enjoy long games of phone tag, expired temp tags, and mystery paperwork that vanishes into the ether, you'll love Cars2Sell in East Windsor. My mother & I paid cash on August 20, 2024 for an As-IS Used Vehicle... Every document said the title was "free and clear." Spoiler: it wasn't. Nearly two months later, after endless holds, "meetings," and contradictory stories, we learned there was actually a lien on the car -- something the manager admitted on video a month after he signed said papers. When title was ready to picked up two months later He continued to say "he didn't know about it" Cue round two of expired tags, overnight mail fees, and a trip to the DMV so frustrating that even they suggested we bring the police. The officer told the manager he had 48 hours to get the title. That was October 13. It finally appeared on October 18, conveniently notarized on October 8--meaning it had been sitting somewhere for days while we were still being strung along. Turns out it was at their Hillside location all along. Funny, since I called Hillside, after my 1st paper tag was about to expire and I was told, "We can't help you, it's at East Windsor." When my mom finally picked up the title, the manager actually asked her to have my sister remove her negative review. That says it all. Yes, I bought the car as-is. I didn't realize that also meant good luck in getting a title without threatening a lawsuit for Breach of Contract So if you're thinking about buying from Cars2Sell, bring a camera, a lawyer, and a saint's level of patience. Because once they've got your money, you'll need all three.

I found my car online set everything up, sent my documents in etc. I was supposed to go in, sign,…read moregive my cash deposit and leave. 6.5 hours later I was stranded there not in the vehicle I chose, not in the payment range I was told, for the car I wanted they "needed" another $4,000 down! Really? So, at 11:00 pm at night I leave with a car I do not love at an interest rate that is insane, but I was there with no car needing a car immediately and over an hour from home. I felt trapped, pressured. They emailed documents to my phone while they finished up with another client who came in after me. I was never told interest rate, payment amount or anything. By the time I got to that page, it was a 28% loan with $655 payments on a car I do not love at all! When I get it home there are someone's credit cards. DL, prayer beads, clothes in it! So, it was a repo they never even checked out! They just sold it to me! Forced me to buy a $3,000 warranty I did not want. A car that is $16,000 is going to end up costing me $47,000!!! That is pure insanity! Highway robbery and I feel like they do it on purpose and add all kinds of dealer fees. Then they put wrong temp tag on my car, and I get pulled over surrounded by cops thinking I am in a stolen car! I call the dealership & the manager says give me 2 minutes I will call you right back. Now the cops had me call! He DID NOT CALL BACK!!! DISGUSTING, PREDATORY DEALERSHIP AND WOULDNOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE EVER!!!!!

I bought from afar and had the car shipped to me. What a mistake and I can put the blame for the…read moremost part on the salesman not the shippers!!! The delays from the sales staff were heartbreaking and the condition of the car I received was unbelievable. I prefer doing business with someone who is honest with you about the process. I felt ghosted for nearly a week waiting for word on the car title. To quote the salesman: "In top shape and is ready to go". When the car arrived, the battery couldn't be charged above 50% and so right off of the bat, it needed a H6 AGM battery. The intake hose to the turbo was cracked into two pieces and I couldn't drive the car for a while, no useable wiper blades because the edge was not attached, I couldn't and can't even get the key FOB out of the dash because of transmission/shifter issues that nobody cared to mention, so, if you want to steal the car, just pull the window down like they show you in Tik-tok and drive off! Of course my insurance won't cover car theft since I can't get the key out of the ignition due to this problem. It needed a complete brake job and 2 bulbs, I was informed about these items before it was shipped, none of the other issues were mentioned and according to Jayson these were the only issues, according to his mechanic. Then there was the overfull oil .6 quarts over, which will kill an engine, probably overfull to make up for the constant leakage all over the bottom of the motor. I'm OK with the scratches I couldn't see in the pic's and the door dings, those minor things I could somewhat expect but most sales staff will point out any issues. Not here! I'm lucky the engine runs at all and that it doesn't have worse transmission issues, they probably wouldn't have said a word. You want to trust people but let me assure you, you will be much better off in my opinion going to a decent dealership to find a car even if it will cost you a bit more. Very friendly and cordial to start out, but, don't get suckered in like the rest of us have. I read the bad reviews and thought, oh, that's just a few out of a lot of sales. More than likely, it probably is just a few of those willing to take the time to warn you after seeing the reality of doing business with this place. I took the time to warn you also! I hope you find a good car from a good dealership at a fair price. Keep looking :)

I left work 2 hours early and I drove all the way there which took me an hour. I walked the complex and didn't see the suv . Ivan was putting a plate on another car and told me that they sent it out to get an oil change. I just wasted so much of my time for nothing . He didn't even care enough to stop putting the plate on to speak to me . They don't care about their customers. I think there was more to the car not being there because they have a mechanic shop on site . Why wouldn't they do their own oil change . Stay away

I've…read morebeen a customer about twenty years, at one time Bank of America had my mortgage, my savings account, my checking account and a credit card. We wanted to refinance, I tried repeatedly without success to get someone from their mortgage department to call me back. Make no mistake, our mortgage wasn't in trouble, we'd never missed a payment, never had been late. I finally got a vice president to call me one morning. Oh he was all apologetic and we made an appointment for him to call me that evening. He didn't. We went with another lender. I'm a little unclear what happened about the savings account as it's been awhile, I think it had something to do with taking the mortgage elsewhere so they were going to start charging fees. Charging me fees to hold on to my money and be able to use it. I went with a savings plan elsewhere. This past week I over-drafted my checking account. I admit it was my fault but after being a customer for twenty years and knowing I've hardly ever done that I called to ask them to forgive the fee. I called three times yesterday and each time the hold time was over an hour. Finally I got through this morning, the hold was only forty-five minutes, and was told by the representative that they would not be able to dismiss the fee. Saturday morning I'll be at the bank down the street opening a checking account there. As for the credit card I plan on consolidating a few of them, Bank of America will be the first paid off and will never be used again. Like I told the phone rep this morning, keep the $35, you've lost a twenty year customer for good.
