    Drunken Noodles

Delicious Pad Thai and Druken Noodles. Portions were a beast. Flavor was spot on. My wife loved their Pad Thai and we decided to get level 7 of spice level. It was a great amount of spice for me in which we were still able to enjoy the flavor. Service was great. Staffs were friendly. Place was cozy. We decided to order take out from this location while staying at the Lakehouse Resort. There wasn't much customer during the day and time we went. It was on a a Monday after the Christmas week and at night. Will definitely go back here the next time we booked at Lakehouse Resort.

A LOT of peas in the Panang Curry

My 2nd time dining at this Thai place after 5+ years. Decided to try it again. It's located in the Albertsons shopping center on the corner of San Marcos Blvd. & S. Rancho Santa Fe Rd. Parking by this place was a bit challenging, surprising since it was a weekday at 1:30. Walked in and was greeted right away, there was only 1 customer dining in at the bar. It's not a big place so it wouldn't be good for groups. The server was friendly and gave us the lunch menu. We ordered the Panang Curry with chicken, Yellow Curry and a Thai tea. The water and tea came in silver, thermos-like glasses, which we appreciated for keeping drinks cool. The food arrived in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the food here is lacking. Subpar in authenticity compared to the numerous Thai restaurants in North County. The Panang Curry was watery, and the vegetables consisted of what looked and tasted like a bag of frozen mixed vegetables in diluted curry paste. Every spoonful had A LOT of peas, cubed carrots and cut green beans. The flavor of the peas overpowered the taste of the dish. The bell peppers & the chicken were the only things that looked like it was actually prepared and not from a bag. The taste of the overall dish was ok, but was very disappointing since I came craving Thai food. The yellow curry was "different". Reminiscent of holiday flavors you expect at Thanksgiving. The curry sauce tasted like buttery popcorn. Finally, the Thai tea was also lacking in flavor and too diluted. Overall, we were hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately it left us unsatisfied and still craving Thai food. We wasted our money and won't be returning.

Love coming back here as always. Great food and good times. Service is great as always.

I placed an order for a chicken pad thai and drunken noddles. Food took past the estimated pick up time. I requested condiments and utensils not even a napkin was given. Food was also terrible. I don't know how this place has good reviews. If anyone is ever in Eastvale there's a Thai food place called little Buddha that place has actually good Thai food. Waste of money and time!

    Khao Soi!! Yum

Came here specifically for the Khao Soi, and it did not disappoint. I've tried Khao Soi at another Thai restaurant years ago and it was really salty and did not eat it again until I went to Thailand recently. Now this is all I think about! I'm so happy they made it exactly how it tasted when I had it in Thailand. We also ordered seafood salad (yum talay) and papaya salad, as you can see they're big servings! Mountain of papaya. Only thing is, I like my papaya salad manually fak'd (iykyk) with a knife and this one was done with a shredder so the crunch level was different. I love that the seafood salad had more than 2 of each pieces, there is a lot of protein under that hill. Fried fish was in there which was different but I like that it's not falling apart. This salad was good. We got level 8 spice, wasn't spicy at all but you can see all the peppers in there.

I'm a self declared connoisseur of fine Tom Kha soup and let me tell you that throughout my many Tom Kha endeavors I have to declare that Onny's has the perfect Tom Kha soup! I don't just drive an hour and a half away for nothing! The service is up to par with the food. This is for sure a cute, relaxing place that encompasses everything that Thailand has to offer in a meal. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Onny's Thai Restaurant is a good Thai spot in San Marcos. I appreciated the hefty portions of their Pad Thai, but it could've been more flavorful.

Friendly and accommodating service. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful day. The restaurant itself is small and the decor is traditional. We ordered pad Thai with chicken on the side, green curry with tofu, and got drunken noodles to go. The food is good but lacked some of the flavors I am used to in these dishes. The green curry looked semi-gelatinous which was odd, but the taste was good and packed with tofu and vegetables. The pad Thai was lacking fish sauce. I ordered an 8 on the drunken noodles but they were average heat. The complementary rice was on the dry side - either undercooked or not fresh.

INDOOR/OUTDOOR DINING Cute strip-mall Thai restaurant in San Marcos with indoor and outdoor dining and free parking. VIBRANT FRESH FOOD Nice fresh, colorful food with spiciness on a scale out of 10. (We went for a '3', which was perfect for me, not too spicy, but spicy enough). SERVICE WITH A SMILE Quick, friendly service. The gorgeous 'tourist' photos and descriptions in the menu will have you wanting to take a trip to Thailand! Attractive mural on one wall and large windows overlooking the street on the other. Small bar seating in the front. THE REASON FOR 4, NOT 5 STARS The only downsides were that brown rice was extra and we could hear a loud telephone call going on in the back and one of the owners having a loud conversation in the front about plans for his day. Prices were slightly elevated over some Thai restaurants we go to, but the food was quality with good portion sizes. Helpful?

Sat down for dinner a few months back and the drunken noodles and pad Thai were delicious! I recall being served THE species drunken noodles ever, but I loved every second of it. I came back to take out some lunch, ordered the same drunken noodles, but was sad that it was completely different. Not spicy at and served with a side of stale rice. Knocked my 5 star to a 3.

Food was great. We got the seafood hot pot, yellow curry with chicken, the spring rolls with avo & shrimp, potstickers, hot sake & the side salad. We also took a fried beef rice to go. Service was good. Waitress came and checked on us every so often but were mostly left alone to enjoy the meal. Decor was beautiful and they had the Vietnam channel on and it was lovely historical sites & the tv was very low but you could hear it. The rest of the decor was gorgeous as well and the pouches with the silverware was a beautiful touch.

We ate everything! Could not help ourselves!

The food was absolutely delicious. We asked for small changes to our order and they served it just right. Highly recommend!

Ask the Community - Onny's Thai Restaurant

Are there gluten free items, specifically the pad thai?Thank you! Do I need to request it specifically or is it gluten free by default? I tried calling several days and no one ever answers.

Yes. Please ask for your items to be gluten free or made gluten free. Sometimes we get extremely busy which keeps us from answering the phone. Generally you should get through if you call a couple times in a 15 minute period when we are open.

Do you have gift cards? Would $50 cover a meal for two?

Panang Salmon and Tamarind Shrimp for $17.95. Thank you.

    Is delivery available for lunch?

I am not sure but you can always try Uber eats!

This place has really quality fresh Thai food. Really great food. Friendly people! Get here early. It's fills up later in the night!

So I keep trying new spots hoping one finally hits. I'd driven past Urban Teri Kitchen a bunch of times taking my kids to practices and games and finally decided to stop in. Didn't even check Yelp first. Just went in blind based on a good feeling about the place. Glad I did. I ordered the half-and-half with chicken teriyaki and katsu, and honestly it was one of the better teriyaki plates I've had anywhere around here. The chicken was flavorful, the katsu was crispy without being greasy, and everything tasted fresh. It's a little pricier than some teriyaki spots, but the quality backs it up. My wife and I could easily split one order next time. I came in around 4 PM, so it wasn't packed, but the people inside looked happy, the restaurant was clean, and the whole place just had a really good vibe. Sometimes you can tell within a minute whether a place cares about what they're doing, and this felt like one of those spots. There's a reason they've got 4.7 stars. If anything, I'd say that rating is deserved.

I already knew that I wanted to order the Khao Soi because I had looked up their menu and pictures way before coming in and it looked like their specialty. I ordered an iced jasmine green tea as well and chose a table to sit at. The woman who took my order was really nice and helpful with ordering. My food didn't take long to come out, and it was DELICIOUS. This was my first time trying this dish so I didn't know what to expect but it was everything and more. It was topped with what I think was fried onion and chili crisp as well for some added spice. The tea was also so delicious, the crushed ice they use is my favorite. The tea was garnished with an orange slice and my toddler decided to much on it. The woman who took my order noticed my daughter eating the orange slice and she brought me out a couple more on the side. You really don't experience that level of customer service anymore, so it was such a sweet gesture. They have a lot of other things on their menu that I would love to come back and try. I also used the restroom before leaving and it was super clean. I honestly have no complaints whatsoever and I hope this business continues to thrive!

As noted by its name, this place served a fusion of Chinese and Korean cuisines. Their Encinitas location took over what used to be a roadside diner along N Coast Hwy 101. The seating capacity was less than 40 people which included a few high-top counter spots. At my last visit, I came for a late dinner before their closing time. A large menu was posted on the wall behind the service counter that listed about two dozen food offerings. The items seemed to be comfort food like pot stickers, spring rolls, fried rice, and chicken wings but flavored with unique combinations of seasonings and spices. I started my meal with the Marinated Beef Tri-Tip Skewers which came as a set of three and a Chinese mustard for dipping. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned. I also ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry which the cashier said was medium spicy. After tasting a couple of bites of the noodles from the serving bowl, I agreed that the heat level was moderate, even for my palate. I thought the portion size should have been more for the price. That was my main criticism for both items, otherwise the food was solid for an Asian fusion eatery.
