It's the actual place they make the shrimp chips. Don't expect anything fancy inside this place. Looks like they had a huge order to fulfill. But, expect your chips to be amazing. Super friendly lady helped me out. I bought 4 bags at $22.00 total.

    Shared it w friends n family :)

SKIP COSTCO AND ALL THE PLACES and head over here! The owner is very sweet and plus 4 bags for $22.50 WHAT A STEAL! MAUI ONION is a MUST. We brought it back and everyone loved it! We should have gotten more! :( Sidenote: call them ahead before coming! And ring the bell, they are a little bit hidden. Took us about 10 minutes to find the actual spot!

If you want shrimp chips, go buy them directly from the source. The Ono Giant Shrimp Chips factory is in Aiea. They are at the end of the strip mall, drive to the back, it's the last shop. They have parking spaces in front of the shop. When you walk up to the entrance, it smells like shrimp chips are frying in oil. It's a delicious smell! The bags come in 2 sizes, small (4 oz) and jumbo (10 oz). All the flavors are available here, but my favorite is the furikake. These shrimp chips are giant and it's flavorful. Before you open the bag, shake it so all the spices go back on the chips. One of the flavors that caught my attention during a previous visit was the honey BBQ, but I ended up gifting it away to a mainland friend. They accept cash and credit cards for payment. They are open from Monday to Friday and closed on weekends.

Cyndy's Bottom Line: Yummy flavors available at the store/factory *Located on the Diamond Head side of the building. Next to the florist. *Parking up front *Credit cards accepted *Closed on Wed, Sat & Sun *Online ordering available at onogiantshrimpchips.com *Knock on door for entry Did you know that Ono Giant Shrimp Chips are made in Aiea, Hawaii with real shrimp? The shrimp chips are hand fried for the perfect yummy taste and crispiness. Besides the delicious original shrimp chips they also come in a variety of onolicious flavors. So many flavors to choose from: +Furikake +Hot Furikake +Honey Garlic +Maui Onion +Barbecue +White cheddar Ono Giant Shrimp Chips are the best! Highly recommend

The last time I was in Oahu 4 years ago we bought Ono Shrimp Chips at Costco and we're hooked. Family would bring them for us when they visited. Forgot about them until our recent visit. Didn't see them in Costco. But saw them on the beach when someone was holding a bag. Googled them and found this Yelp listing. The factory??? But it was after their opening hours and on a Friday. Darn. Closed for the weekend. One post said to call them and they may open up for you. So I did. The owners answered. And yes, they had to be at the store on the weekend to get ready for a Costco pickup so I could go by. Yay!!! 8 different flavors. 2 sizes. Large bag is $10. Small bags are 4 for $20. My fav is the furokake. Trying the Maui onion too. They gave me a box so I could figure out how to get them home to the mainland. Shipping with mail order is expensive. I ended up buying a large bag and carried them onto the plane (2 large and 2 small chip bags). The owners are so sweet. Loved talking to them. Support local!! And come to the factory to purchase directly!

    Large bags are $10 each

We are big fans of their furikake Ono giant shrimp chips so we decided to go here to see what other flavors they have. We always see the furikake, original, and hot furikake outside the factory store. Important: they close at 1 pm so be sure to get there before then. WHITE CHEDDAR - my new absolute favorite. I wish I got more of it HONEY GARLIC - also delicious MAUI ONION - we haven't tried it yet but we bought the last one today. FURIKAKE - our favorite one to buy out in normal stores. Perfect to eat with poke. HOT FURIKAKE - my husband loves this version of the furikake BARBECUE - none of us are barbecue lovers so we skipped on this one. Definitely stop by here if you are a fan of their chips.

I fell in love with the furikake shrimp chips when we were in Hawaii! I'm ashamed to admit it, but I carted the entire 10oz bag with me everywhere we went the entire duration of our trip. I also didn't share :) It doesn't look like I'll be making it back to the islands anytime soon (thanks COVID), so I did some research on how to get my hands on these bad boys. I ordered a pack of two 10oz bags online and they arrived fully intact and ready for optimal enjoyment. I can't wait to dig in!

This shrimp chip was bigger than a soda can! There are bigger ones than this one..Ono Giant chip is so true!

Omg, giant shrimp chips, I mean bigger than the palm of my hand! They have all the flavors here! I got bags of flavors that are hard to find. Honey Garlic and the Original are my favoite. It is a bit difficult to find, but it is in the very far corner of a small strip mall. This is where magic starts, so it is a working operation, and they keep the door closed. So persistence will yield some yum stuff!

Hot furikake shrimp chips, so addicting!
    V C.

Absolutely the best shrimp chips I've ever had!! These shrimp chips are indeed very addictive! I just couldn't stop munching the furikake and HOT furikake. Other than the factory, you can also purchase them in nearby grocery stores (Costco and some ABC stores). Wished I could pick more flavors to bring home, since each bag is quite massive :D

    Maile T.

Still the best and only found in Hawaii. The only time I can get my hands on these, is if a family member goes out there for vacation and brings me the chips.

    Ono furikake shrimp chips.

This is one of the precious gems in 'Aiea. I had a hair appointment at Jean's Hair Studio. I stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised that there was a sale on the furikake shrimp chips: 4 bags for $20. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I recommend this local business to anyone who loves shrimp chips. They make great gifts. .

Reasonably priced and extremely popular. The chicken was fried in bite sizes with a crispy coating and hints of Chinese 5 spice. It was served on a bit of cabbage with fried basil. If you order the sauce that goes with it, you'll get a slightly sweet accent to the chicken. Grandpa Rolling Beef is a creative braised beef rolled in a scallion pancake with extra veggies. Great flavors with a crunchy texture. The joong or zong zhi was mochi rice with pork and preserved egg. If you were looking for home style sticky rice, you got it here with a bit of a light sauce. The preserved egg brings back memories of Popo's kitchen/ your childhood. We tried Taiwan tofu pudding for dessert. You should order it even if you order nothing else. Perfect for two. Silky tofu in a slightly sweet sauce with shaved ice, boba and peanuts combine for a perfect dessert. Not heavy and just sweet enough to tempt a non-dessert person. A return to this restaurant is always warranted! Give it a try!

The menu has a nice variety of authentic Taiwanese options, and the portions were satisfying. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and had a relaxed vibe that made it easy to enjoy the meal. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service could have been a little more attentive, and a couple of dishes didn't quite wow me as much as I expected for the price. Even so, I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu. If you're looking for quality Taiwanese food on Oahu, Fooki is worth a visit. Forgot to capture few pics

Of course their Roast Duck is savory and one of the best on the island hence their restaurant name. The skin is crisp and the meat is warm and flavorful. The cake noodles come with a sauce to pour over the noodles. It also comes with a Gau Chee as well as a side container of hot mustard and shoyu to add a little kick to it. My husband enjoys the roast pork. The skin is crisp and crunchy and the meat is glistening and marbled with fat that is so tasty. I enjoy the Char Sui that is nice and sweet. I came around after 1230p and they had already run out of fried rice which was sad, I think the guy in front of me may have gotten the last order! This Farmers Market is not as large as others on island but, for us, we are drawn to several particular vendors. Like moths to lightbulbs, as soon as we come to the market, we head straight for the Baker Dudes tent. The Baker Dudes offer all sorts of breads and pastries. The yeast-risen breads have a doughy home made texture or perhaps even more like from a bread machine texture... dense, hearty with a nice chew. The range of baked goods include sourdough boules, quick breads, tropical fruit sweet breads, stuffed croissants, cookies, scones and even sticky buns. I think they even have a mobile oven that the "dudes" bake their products fresh on the premises. We've tried their sweet bread, two weeks in a row, starting with mango then cinnamon. This weekend, we even bought their mango stuffed turnovers which were buttery and flaky puff pastry triangles of pure Aloha. TIP: We arrived late, around 11:15-ish and were told that because it was so near to closing, they priced their pastries to go at 3/$5. Their sticky buns and stuffed croissants sell out quickly. They accept cash only and are reasonably priced. Service is congenial and efficient. Don't forget to bring your re-useable bags to put your goodies in as you roam the market. If you miss this vendor, don't worry... Baker Dudes are ALSO regular participants at the Kailua, Ward and Haleiwa Farmers Markets. They have recently added a brick and mortar shop in Downtown Honolulu on Alakea Street. #394
