A must stop for me whenever I go out to the North Shore. Cute little shop that sells high quality tropical syrups, butters, jams and flavored peanut butters. I come for the coconut syrup, guava butter and lilikoi butter. My Mom also requests the lilikoi syrup whenever I am there, and I often find myself picking up extra jars or bottles just before visiting friends on a trip. The syrups and butters are great for topping pancakes and waffles, much better and higher quality flavor than the ones sold in the markets. They are super friendly and let you sample different things. If you are making a special trip for a particular item, it's best to call ahead to confirm availability as popular items can be out. And don't forget there is a kama'aina discount with your local ID. There is a parking lot in the back for the shops in this little strip, which can get congested. read more

The store is small but being Haleiwa, it is far, sometimes I hear they don't open so your drive is far, but being on that side it's nice. Different vibes than city. A MUST when in North Shore! North Shore Goodies has been around as long as I can remember, with my earliest memory being begging my parents to let me choose a coconut peanut butter flavor when visiting Old Sugar Mill (also in North Shore). I always kind of assumed that North Shore Goodies was simply a brand that didn't have a physical store on island. It wasn't until I was in college that I realized that they had a brick and mortar store, and since then I've only purchased my coconut peanut butter goodness from here. Look out for limited edition flavors, on this visit (during the fall/winter) I picked up a Pumpkin Pie Peanut Butter, which is sooo good on toast or a croissant. Another favorite is the Chocolate Coconut Peanut Butter and of course the Original. With Yelp check-in, you get a free sampler jar (with NO purchase required!!), just show the cashier your app and mark as used. read more

The name is this store implies they a good selection of goodies, this is not the case. It is mainly peanut butter with a few other things like jelly. Around the store there is mention of samples, with nothing open, which is a little confusing. We came out especially to try some peanut butter, and if we found some we liked we were going to bring it back as a souvenir. There was one older lady working in the store, who took forever with the two other customers in the store. We waited patiently over 10 minutes to ask about sampling before we buy. She advised the health department banned them from sampling and offered zero solutions. I would strongly recommend they put up a notice so customer's don't waste their time. The reality is their peanut butter is over double of other gourmet ones on the market. There is no type of satisfaction guarantee. The small bottles are very pricey, the only way to go is the 2lb jar. I'm also not willing to take a risk on a $30 2lb jar that is going to take up valuable suitcase space without even a taste first. Perhaps they could get some sort of sealed sampling pouch to appease the health department and still let customers taste. read more

I've always been a fan of their White Chocolate Raspberry Peanut Butter and have been buying since 2010. However, since last year... ABC stores stopped carrying them as well as other stores in Maui. Thus, when I was in Honolulu this past December and was in North Shore, I knew this the time to stock up. The store is open and small... by chance, the lady helping us out that day wasn't so "aloha" - probably was a long day so that was a bit off-putting considering my Mom and I dropped $150 worth of goodies. Anyway... sales lady aside, definitely well worth checking out. I was thinking of ordering online but just read a recent review said customer service... hmmm. I found this company after researching brands that didn't have the first ingredient as high fructose corn syrup-which is what you find with Hawaiian Brand that they sell at Longs. North Shore brand selection is vast- especially with the coconut peanut butter options. I didn't like Kona PB as there wasn't much flavor to it to make it coffee but luckily I bought a sample size instead of large jar. the only drawback is that you can't sample so you really have to know what you like before coming in or buy sample sizes. I was on a mission for coconut peanut butter. I was asked to check North Shore Goodies. When I arrived, the business owner really nice older lady was sitting behind her own homemade plastic barrier. When I inquired about the choices of peanut butter we had a great conversation about the flavors of peanut butter. The prices for the jars were a little pricey but we are in tourist city of Haleiwa. $9 you can get an 8oz bottle. $24 will get you a 25oz bottle. Mind you, I got these for a friend. So at this point price didn't matter. I purchased the larger 25oz jar. After I left I realized that I hadn't checked in. Of course, I checked in and there was a coupon for a free 2oz sample jar. I went back and asked if the coupon was still valid. A lot of places, aren't accepting coupons during the pandemic. She was so nice to explain that the samples offered were expired. I was offered a 2oz sample bottle of local honey. Which was perfect for my pumpkin bread. I will definitely visit again for myself. read more

Growing up In Hawaii, I've seen this brand everywherrrrre! The label is very recognizable by the Wailua Mill, but to heck with spending over $3 for a bottle of Peanut Butter (very childish thinking, and very money stingy lol). Anyway, my friend and I were going to make a day out in Haleiwa and I yelped some places and this came up as "A Must Visit" so I asked my friend what she thought and she ranted and raved about the store. Finally arrived and I fell in love!! Due to Covid, the front of the store had a plastic curtain, but the super kind worker was there to help and she had the Demo bottles in the front, tell her what you want and she'll pull a new bottle for you. She was just so friendly and extremely helpful.. my friend kinda saw her when we drove off and said she was the Owner.. she always had a great experience here because of her. This is simply amazing, and my 2nd order~first time my husband got one of the coconut PB & the crunchy one for work lol.. Any way I pretty much ate the entire jar~the large one~I'm on Keto and drink Ketones so the carb count on here was off the charts amazing, I instantly loved it more.....seriously I'm posting this on 2 of my web sites for Ketones/Keto people will be amazed at the 2 ingredients~then just die when they taste this. They have a variety of peanut butter and jam flavors ranging from coconut, white chocolate, coffee, guava, lilikoi, and so much more! After sampling a few, I decided to go with my two favorites: Coconut Peanut Butter and Lilikoi Jam. As others have mentioned, the price is definitely a little higher than your normal pb&j combo. With that being said, you have to understand that these are homemade, quality, Hawaiian specialty products. And local Hawaiian goods equals...perfect gifts! I read an article somewhere a few years back, something along the lines of "must try items" in Oahu. One of the items mentioned was North Shore Goodies' Original Coconut Peanut Butter. At that time, it was readily available at all ABC Stores and the article actually said to buy it specifically from there. I was able to grab a small sized container to bring home and give it a shot. Let's just say, the next time I heard someone visiting Hawaii, that was the sole item I asked if they could bring back. Fast forward sometime later, I found out that a good friend was headed out to Oahu. We asked for some North Shore Goodies at the ABC Stores. Easy peasy, right? Wrong, they couldn't find it in any of the ABC Stores and asked an employee which stated, "We no longer carry that brand." It was some sad news. I quickly jumped online and see what they had to offer. Although, I could've easily ordered some online but for the amount to include the shipping and handling, it was going to be steep just for some PB. As everyone says, the products at North Shore Goodies is quite pricey. Pair that higher end price with a nice s&h fee, I'm hesitant to throw down an online order unless we order a good amount of it. I finally found myself back in Oahu this past October. You can take a wild guess that North Shore Goodies' standalone storefront which is located where else, North Shore (duh) was bookmarked on my list as a place to visit. If you are headed northbound on Kamehameha Highway, the store is located on the right side, right before a bridge and can easily be missed. If you go through the ring road, be ready to make that quick right turn into the small driveway to the parking area behind the small stores. Keep your eyes peeled and don't drive too fast because you can drive right by it without knowing it. We found ourselves in the store and trying to figure out what to bring home. The ladies behind the counter offered us samples of all their flavors in the store. One of the ladies was very informative and told us which flavor goes well with what. Remember, most of these items has to go in your checked luggage because it's bigger than 3 oz. If you forget and throw it in your carry-on, you're going to be pissed that TSA makes you toss out these products. We settled with the biggest container of their original coconut peanut butter (2 lbs. for $25). Let me tell you, the peanut butter is super smooth. The coconut flavor is nicely balanced with the PB and you'll find yourselves wanting to lick the utensil you're using to scoop it out of. I typically put it on my toast or waffle/pancake and I don't need anything else with it. You can couple it with the typical celery, carrots, etc. Trust, you can't just go wrong. My only quarrel is the price. It's not an everyday event that I'm hanging out in Oahu, so the price gets overlooked. Plus, we tend to splurge a little while on vacay anyway. The ingredients used in North Shore products are simple and healthy (sans ingredients you can't pronounce). Without a car, it'll be kind of a challenge to get to North Shore from the airport or Waikiki. But if you do make it out to the store, then you can spend the day in North Shore/Haleiwa. And oh, for whatever reason their credit card machine was down that day. Luckily, we had some cash on standby. read more

Was headed to the North Shore when my friend pulled in here (park in the back and try not to park under the trees for falling mangos) and we poked our heads in here & it's like a little hidden gem. To begin with you will see a bunch of peanut butters & jams that you aren't use to seeing. From coconut to passion fruit and everything in between and the beauty of it all is that you get to sample them so you don't end up with something that wasn't as great as you had expected (be real, we all have done that once or twice or three times before). There are various sizes and there are discounts (such as military) as well as I got a free sample size item just for checking in on Yelp! As a friendly tip, If you aren't local and plan to taking some back home with you, make sure you have space in you suitcase as you can not carry these on the plane with you.
