All kinds of fruit and vegetables were available for sale along with fresh poi, filipino pastries, and a variety of fresh herbs. Half of the large parking lot at Kapolei Community Park is closed to allow the vendors to set up. They are all on the basketball court side of the park. Prices were really cheap and the vendors were really friendly. I definitely would go again. I am super happy with a bag of five tomatoes that I picked up for only $2! If you want Thai basil, it is only 50 cents a bunch, and pastries start at only 50 cents among lots of other items. Parking is street parking. There were lots of parking available. One thing though is that this farmer's market is a really early one ending at around 730 or 8 am. Cash only and open only on Sundays. Here's a YouTube video that I made of this place: http://youtu.be/prBcnXp5VI8

Among the selections: sweet onions, broccoli, cucumbers, peppers, basil (already made pesto tonight!), oranges, apples, potatoes (all kinds, including purple sweet), beans, lemons, key limes, and apple bananas. I will DEFINITELY be back. One downside is that you have to arrive early (between 7 and 7:30 a.m.). After that, they're getting ready to tear it down, so you almost feel as if you're being rude while they're cleaning up. Be sure to bring smaller bills and even coins. Also, pack some cloth grocery bags or bring a big purse.

There are dozens of…read morevendors, and yeah, some of them sell similar stuff, which honestly works in your favor if you're trying to grab souvenirs without paying Waikiki prices. But if you want something a little more special, definitely look for the local vendors. There are some great spots with handmade items. A few of my favorites that I actually bought from and brought home and I am using: - Cheeky Beach: super cute beachwear by Vivian and her son (they also have a shop in Haleiwa) - Touch of a Goddess: handmade jewelry by a mother-daughter duo - Leonardo Dale Photography: beautiful photo art of the island now displaying at my house. There's a ton to see, so go with time, it's a big market. They also have food and sometimes live music. Admission is $2 per person (cash only), and I'd recommend bringing cash since a lot of vendors don't take cards.

The stalls consolidated across the street and rather than walking all round the stadium, the stalls are lined in neat rows (some in conexs that open up to be a store. All my favorite stalls seem to have made the move - the food trucks have also made the trek across the street. Parking is available in the back and also by the tram station parking lot - just need to walk a little bit. Cost remains $1 for Kama'ainas *locals) and active duty military, $2 for all else. A great place to purchase touristy items, but also stuff you don't think you need until you see it. Check it out! I'm glad the authorities realized the need to keep the Aloha Swap Meet.

STEVE's AKAKA FALLS FARM Jams, Butters & Honey: This review…read moreis specifically for Steve's Akaka Farms Giving them 5 stars for their great tasting jams, butters, and honey! Giving 5 stars for Katy, who works at the Pearlridge Farmers Market location in Saturdays. She is a ray of sunshine, with her great smile and loves to share samples of their product. Be careful, though because when you taste the delicious products you'll have to get something! Their passion fruit habanero is amazing with cream cheese and crackers or as a glaze for meats. If you combine it with cream cheese it softens the heat. They do have one with ghost peppers or Caroline Reaper peppers but beware - I bought it for my friend who loves heat and she said it's really hot! They have amazing butters - try any of their chocolate butters and you'll think you are in heaven! Note-these are seasonal so there may be different ones available when you visit. Award winning Coconut black chocolate is absolutely amazing, rich, and decadent and the best way to eat this is to get a big spoonful then just sit there and savor the flavor. The Kona coffee dark chocolate is also amazing. Hard to decide which is better! Got a jar if passion fruit Hawaiian pepper (chili pepper) smoked pineapple Kentucky whiskey to use as a glaze for meat. Can't wait to use it. These also make great gifts to send to or give to suiting folks from the mainland to give them a taste of Hawaii. I like the POG jam for islanders who have relocated to the mainland because it's like a taste of home. Kona coffee butter and mango are also divine. I have the mango for me...! I also got a jar of the mango honey and it's marvelous, too! These are high quality and a bit pricey, but after going to the craft fair at the Blaisdell, the prices are not too much more if not comparable. ...AND they are available weekly! If you go and sample a flavor you like, be sure to ask if it's seasonal (such as mango) or not. If it's seasonal - get it. It may not be available again until the next season. Me

A mix array of vegetables, produce and food booths. In the middle there's a small tent for dinning along with live entertainment. I walked around less than 10mins nothing really cached my eye . It's hard nowadays because on a Saturday other big farmers market is going on ! The KCC and Kakaako farmers Market is also on a Saturday. Support local

I used to limit my spending to $10 while shopping for dinner for my wife and I. There will be a lot of things I will miss in the future of Kekaulike Market. I stop by Chow's Seafood and Meat Market to buy Chinese fishcake which is one of the only stalls that sell it now. The stall. might not look like the most sterile place to shop but the fishcake is very good. The fishcake is a raw paste that you could use in any number of dishes. It sells for about $8 a pound but it stretches the budget and you get a lot of fishcake dumplings in one pound.

Located on Kekaulike Street - between King Street and Hotel Street - Kekaulike Market is one of the "go to" places for fresh produce and fresh meats and seafood. Today, I was looking for a pineapple for my mom, but, unfortunately, didn't find any. However, I did see items such as locally caught fish packed in ice, clean chicken feet in refrigerated cases, and tables full of colorful vegetables and fruits! The variety is overwhelming! There are many vendors inside of the air conditioned market and even more stalls right outside the market's doors - all along the wall! Just take your time and compare prices. Bring tote bags ...and cash for better bargaining power! Remember that metered street parking is free on Sundays and holidays. If you're early, you can get free parking on King Street. If not, the municipal parking lots have reasonable parking rates.

Freshly harvested farm produce for the commuters driving down Kunia Road. A perk for commuters is that you can order online and pay ahead, so they package up your purchase and you drive in to pick up your order. There is a huge lot to park in, so parking is not a problem or you can drive through for your order. The prices are very good! A huge turnip cost me $2 and it was SUPER FRESH! The mint is a large FRESH two fistful bunch that cost me $2. Wish they had not run out of basil or swiss chard. I would have loved to buy from them. The kale bunches are huge and FRESH. The long bean, medium beans, and string beans are FRESH! The bananas are offered at a great price! Fresh pumpkin flowers, bitter melon leaves, kaffir lime leaves, thai ginger, tomatoes, papayas, avocados. Stop by and check it all out. The first week, they sold out of so many items, I had to go back the next two weeks to see what I had missed and I was not disappointed the next two times because everything is SO FRESH and reasonably priced. They sell delicious fresh spices to make your own Thai Curry, YUM!! They sell shredded green papaya to make papaya salad.
