One of the best and cleanest Asian super markets on island. Great selection, peaceful environment, super clean, great customer service, great parking, and huge selection. They have a big selection of grocery items from Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Chinese, Thai and more. The main ones they import from are the ones I mentioned. There's also a huge selection of fresh and pre dried vegan and vegetarian meat (fully vegan) and tofu from Taiwan, Vietnam and Aloha Tofu (Hawaii local fresh tofu). There's only 2 places on the island that I know of that you can get these vegan Asian meats, which is so delicious, healthy with nature soy,m fibers, and has far less sodium and preservatives than the American beyond meat veg options. (Though I enjoy those to make western dishes from time to time) The customer service here is very nice. They don't have staff walking around the store, but at checkout they are so nice and friendly, and always help you bag your items. Highly recommend! Amazing! read more

I have been to this place multiple times. I go around once every 3-4 weeks or so. They have started to upgrade the facilities in the last couple months. They have packaged foods, sauces, fresh produce, proteins, and canned drinks. Their target audience is SouthEast Asian shoppers and prices are reasonable. I typically buy green onions, cilantro, and bok choy and prices are around $2 per unit. They also have larger packages but I only need small quantities for my weekly ramen binge. They also have reasonable prices for candies and snacks but they don't have a lot of stock so if you see something you like, you should buy it because it will probably not be around the next time you go. One Of The-Best places to get your asian vegetables you can't find anywhere else on island. i had to stop by and check it out. it's like a mini-costco for asian products. We went to Island Green Mart to pick up some Avocados and Daikon and other items, should have picked up the papayas there! Safeway had a sale for $1.29 but the ones at Island Green Mart was in better condition and better size. The area is very clean and well kept and the leafy items are bagged in plastic bags and in the refrigerator section which keeps it fresher . They also carry fresh & frozen meats and frozen seafood and lots of groceries items. They are getting busier that customers are finding out about this hidden grocer, so now they have a parking lot attendant, but the movement is pretty fast as customers come and go pretty steady and there is hardly a line at the 2 check out at the most 1-2 customers in the line at the most. Still have a little traffic due to the road work but worth while instead of driving around looking for parking at Chinatown or the Dillingham Chinatown market. read more

I heard they have one in Chinatown and small store near by Chuck E. Cheese in Kalihi along with other markets. I like this location because of the free ample parking although the Dillingham road is one road I preferred to avoid. Once you in this large air conditioned warehouse, I like the produced section, since it seems the vegetables are fresh and clean. Unique fruits, herbs, and vegetable can be find here. They have raw peanuts to make boiled peanuts, vegan frozen foods and products from Philippines, Vietnam and China. There's a variety of drinks, meat, snacks, coffee, products. I love shopping here. I came here as I was on the hunt for Rice noodles and they had every size of rice noodles in stock. From the regular pho noodles to the thicker stick like noodles and thick flat ones. I didn't get to explore more of what Island Green Mart had to offer but from looks of it, they had almost everything Asian that you needed. I will have to come back to check out more. This is one of the place I go to for Asian groceries! It has fresh veggies, fruits, meats, Taiwanese snacks, Thai seasonings, nước mam (fish sauce), all of that GOOD STUFF! It's like another target for me, i go there for a specific item, come out with a whole bunch of other goods! I love these Vietnamese bánh tráng cuốn and I added some fresh shredded mango and squeezed some calamansi (not in picture). So so good! Staffs are so sweet and helpful. We wanted to check out this Asian grocery store and ended up buying a few things! They have a variety of produce and there are some things you won't see at regular grocery stores. We got the viral fruit ice cream (the peach flavored one) but we were bummed to see that they didn't have the mango one. The peach ice cream was so good though! It was kinda pricey but also we weren't surprised. Overall, it's a pretty big Asian grocery store and it's cool to check out all the different snacks and stuff. Whenever my in-laws are visiting from Atlanta, this is their go-to grocery story to buy all the authentic ingredients they need to cook Vietnamese food. Chinatown is too crazy with the parking and walking, so Island Green Mart is perfect. They have a parking lot; you just have to brave all the Dillingham forever construction to get there. There's plenty of parking, and no other businesses sharing it. The inside is like a warehouse. Right side has all your frozen and dried goods, sauces, instant noodles, snacks, and etc. There's a chill section with noodles, tofu, eggs, and etc. Though, this section doesn't seem cold enough as I spotted too many noodles with mold. The left corner takes you to the produce section with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. This section is even more cooler! The variety is predominantly Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Filipino items. There's also a meat section where you'll find a wide variety of different cuts of duck, pork, and beef. You'll find many unique cuts as well such pork uterus, duck head, pork and duck blood, pig tails, and etc! Overall, I enjoyed shopping here. There are a lot of excellent deals if you purchase multiple items. The prices are typical to Chinatown and other places with a decent amount of variety. But not quite enough Chinese vegetables. Removed from the griminess and hustle and bustle of Chinatown, you can feel safe and calm shopping in this warehouse and you don't have to hold your breath to avoid disturbing odors. The only thing that might deter you a bit from getting there is the Dillingham construction in front of the Alakawa Costco. Have been avoiding the dilingham area because of the ongoing road work but I guess I may have yo go there more often now! Island Green Mart is a relatively new Asian supermarket on Dilingham. It's easier to get there from the west and they got plenty of parking. They mainly sell groceries from South East Asia. Chinese groceries mainly from mainland China instead of Hong Kong or Taiwan. No Japanese or Korean products but that's ok those you can find at other stores! They also have a good selection of produce. There are some foods that I don't usually see at other supermarkets (at least I haven't) such as pork brain, balut, etc. Price is reasonable. My first visit here to Island Green Mart on Dillingham Blvd. Bumpy roads to get here due to road construction. Once you turn into the parking lot you can park for free. Large open entrance to the mart. Big open aisles. There are separate sections for fresh produce, meats, eggs and dry goods. The mart has plastic baskets to hold your items while you shop. I love discovering new Asian grocery stores! I always pass by this place when making my way to Costco - I randomly decided to take a look at what they had to offer. It's literally a ONE STOP shop for all your Asian needs! Mainly southeast asian + Chinese groceries. From the different Asian produce that you CANT find at other stores, the condiments, cuts of meats, snacks, etc... What intrigued me the most is how they had a wide range of different rice papers and noodles. They literally carried a big variety of things I haven't heard of either! It's really hard coming across an Asian grocery store that has it all coming from a south East Asian - BUT they had everything you need for any dish like pho and carried fresh pho noodles!! I saw that they had a sign for fresh fish/seafood, but didn't see any. They mainly offered the frozen option - but had a BIG variety compared to other Asian markets like hmart or seafood city who only caters to certain Asian groups. They cater to a lot of different various Asian groups! The prices were reasonable and slightly cheaper as well! They had some items buy 2 get 1 free!! Plus, they have ingredients that are hard to find elsewhere. Not just frozen whole ducks, how about duck wings, necks, feet, or just the heads? Their produce section has fresh taro stems, pandan leaves, and warabi. Most of their packaged items are from Southeast Asia so there are many types of frozen fish balls, dumplings, soup mixes, and preserved vegetables. Wow so many great and fresh greens here especially the Asian kind! I was able to find the pea shoots here that I couldn't in Chinatown. The produce section is in another room at the end of the hallways once you enter so don't miss it! I see this market as mainly southeast Asian kind. You'll find some mainland chinese stuff here in the dry goods section but not much cantonese japanese or korean. There's also a fridge full of vegan fake meat stuff. They're pricey but I'm not sure why because a lot of these are made from soybeans like tofu. The dry goods section was OK. A lot of the stuff on sale are expired or close to expiry so make sure you're aware of that. Their prices aren't the greatest. I think Chinatown might have better prices when it comes to the dry goods. But well you do have the convenience and comfort to shop in an air conditioned environment with plenty of free parking... I find it easier to come here from the west on dillingham because I can just turn right to go in the driveway. The never ending construction on dillingham makes turning left anywhere very challenging. So that day I stopped here first before I headed to Costco gas station. They're kinda slow when I went but they've been open since January. I hope more people know about this so they stay in business! read more

I stumbled upon this place purely by accident--thanks to the rail mess on Dillingham, I took a wrong turn and ended up in their parking lot. Best wrong turn ever! This grocery store is massive, like a warehouse full of every Asian ingredient you never knew you needed. They have everything you can buy in Chinatown but in a clean, organized space. The deals are unbeatable, especially on produce, eggs, and all your Asian grocery needs. It's a shame that the place is practically a ghost town, probably because of the construction circus out front. Their signage is so tiny and on the ground. good luck if you are heading towards ewa they don't allow left turns you can only turn right into the lot heading into town. I bought two bag of sunflower seeds. Both sign says 2 for $8, I grab one for each. When charged they charged one selling price. I asked them why. The cashier was yelling and emotional saying it has to be one kind. I said there is the sign. They said that's how it is. I asked the manager. She has very bad attitude saying special means has to be same kind, mix means you can buy different. I said as customer we didn't know the code of there. I said it would be better to let customer know with a better clear sign. The manager said we are not gonna follow your idea! I said you need think from customer's perspective. Some people may not know but pay two single retail price for each. That's sneaky. She said that's their issue.... came out from the store, the cashier couldn't find the sunflower seed I refunded. She chased me out asking me to open my trunk. I did then she started digging the box with all items I purchased. What kind of the service is that!!! What behavior is that?!! Soooo rude!!! Plus, lots of things get more expensive. And one item showed $25.99 they charged $26 in the system. I'm not saying that's 1 cent different. But many more customers made it different. The dry goods area, like the noodles, have signs to indicate where each ethnicity is located. This is my second visit here. I noticed they did not have the same produce or fruits as my previous visit. There are cooking sauces, dry packaged foods for cooking, raw meats, raw seafood, snacks and more. Times goes by so fast when you're browsing every aisle! Especially when the warehouse has AC and free parking! If you don't have a shopping bag for your purchases, they have empty boxes. Located in the middle of the block of Dillingham Boulevard between Costco and Kokea Street (across from Honolulu Community College), drive slowly along "The Rail" construction... Yes - the Boulevard has been narrowed down to one lane towards Diamond Head and one lane towards Ewa. It's slow-going, but it's worth it! Besides the free parking, Island Green Mart is cleaner and safer than Chinatown. It has everything you need in one location! I saw all kinds of canned goods, frozen food, fresh meats, and don't forget to check out the Produce Room! The prices may not be the best - for example, the Hilo Lychee was $8.99 a pound. Ouch! I saw Hilo Lychee in Chinatown for less... However, Island Green Mart is convenient and more organized! Service was friendly and efficient! Decor was colorful, simple, and pleasant. When shopping for grocery takes you on an adventure! I just happen to see that cute logo from Island Green Mart passing through Dillingham Blvd which the name along just piqued my interest and knew I had to check them out. Prominently asian mart with many other unique locally embraced items as well are surprisingly found here I was just amazed how spacious it was here. You first walk in and see some check out counters and continue to see a separate section dedicated for produce which is decently massive. The main part of the mart is very neat and organized with clearly labeled sign though many of the shelves are bare and in comparison some prices are pretty steep. Still in it's process to complete all sections to be fair "Meats" and "Fresh Foods & Eggs" are still under renovations though Produce, Frozen, Ice Cold Drink and Dry Goods are neatly displayed. What caught my eye was close to my heart...noodles the wall of noodles to be exact all sorted by countries (Thailand, Indonesian, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Filipino) not including the impressive variety types of long rice noodles. There were many other snacks as well, the staff here is just so helpful and friendly super knowledgeable for any suggestions and even uniqueness to bring in some items requests by guests is quite impressive. Lots and lots of free parking available but the real struggle sadly is the rail construction making it's way right along the way so you need to plan your route accordingly so show this place some love during this difficult time is something recommended to see and compare you'll never know what you can find in your adventure. However, after searching and speaking with one of the courteous workers I didn't find what I was looking for. This place offers fresh produce of fruits and vegetables, frozen items such as shumai, dumplings, fish balls, ice cold beverages, snacks, non perishable items that are found in Asian Supermarkets. Not in a wide range or variety. On a smaller scale. For instance, you'll be able to find groceries to make your own hot pot. Not able to find everything that you'll need to make halo halo. New Asian market in Kalihi across the street from Honolulu Community College. In a warehouse setting with concrete flooring and high ceiling with industrial sized ceiling fans, this place looks to be a great resource for Asian goods once they're done stocking the shelves and opening the rest of the store. The place basically has 6 main sections. 1. Dry goods 2. Frozen 3. A huge separate room for fruits & vegis 4. A meat market ( due to open next month) 5. Fresh seafood and live fish section. ( still waiting for permits) 6. Fresh foods section. It's also not opened yet but I suspect this section will have prepared meals to go. A few items did look to be very good value. For example, $1 for a bag of herbs like rosemary and thyme. King and shiitake mushrooms seem to be well priced ( see photo). Lastly my fave fruit papaya is $1.09/lb. Wow that's cheaper than Chinatown and the papaya is from Hilo. Also this is the first time I've seen Bun Bo Hue in a can. Was tempted but the sodium listed made my blood pressure leaped about 10 points. The place is super clean and the aisles are easy to navigate. Very friendly staff from the ones I've encountered. Great place to buy Asian ingredients! This place is located near Costco. It is on the same side as Costco and it's a way way street right now, so make sure you are able to make a right turn on dillingham not a left or you won't get in. There's ample parking. This warehouse has a huge produce area and two frozen sections. There are all the Chinese and East Asian sauces but not so many Korean products. Perfect place to find pho ingredients.
