Chuck and Brett were gracious hosts to their organic fruit farm set amidst Hana Highway. A bit of an adventure getting there, but worth it. Brett was very engaging and fun to learn from. He is very passionate about the farm and was very informative. We rode in the ATV with Brett as he stopped each time he spotted an amazing fruit to try on the farm. Some of these fruits we had never even heard of! Soursop was a group fave. The peanut butter fruit was wild!

My family and I had the best time visiting this farm! It was honestly the highlight of my trip to Maui. It is so breathtakingly beautiful and feels nice to be so close to nature in that way. It felt like I was in the garden of Eden! I have always wanted to try exotic fruits and this place definitely checked that box for me and the fruit was delicious! Our tour guide, Jered, was so lovely and such a joy to be around! I have zero complaints and would love to return.

Spent the morning cruising around the farm with one of Ono's talented managers - such a blast! Learning about the farm's efforts to create more equity and sustainability in environment and human health through permaculture was super cool and trying all of the fruits that were in season made it all that much better. 11/10 recommend this unique experience!

Brett was an amazing tour guide, with great attention to detail! We got to learn a lot about the history of the farm, how it operates, and we got to try tons of different types of delicious fresh fruit. The mangos and sweet passionfruit were particularly amazing!

If you are in Maui, Ono Farms is a must for farm fresh tropical fruits! Nick was our tour guide and he was so welcoming and knowledgeable. He truly cares about the farm and takes pride in delivering an amazing experience. Our children loved the tour and tasted many exotic fruits for the first time. My daughter who is a picky eater, tried every fruit she picked. Juicy mangoes, coconuts, papaya, Jaboticaba, cocao beans, guavas to name only a few. Private tours are 2 hours and you can book on their website. Aloha and have fun!

This was an amazing, personalized tour! The farm is beautiful. Every tree is thriving. There is so much variety of fruit. A beautiful setting and view. The owners are very special people. Our tour guide, Brett, was spectacular. We are so thankful for this experience and will never forget it. We received beautiful fruit to take with us and enjoy for the remainder of our trip. We have done three other farm tours on the island - and this is the best by far!

Our family (Mom, Dad, & two teenage kids) had a wonderful experience taking the guided tour of Ono Organic Farms. It was by far our family's favorite experience on the island of Maui. The farm is in a beautiful, picturesque setting just past Hana in the rainforest. Our knowledgable, friendly, and passionate tour guide Nick drove us around the farm in a four-wheel drive vehicle. We frequently stopped to pick and sample all the fruit that was in season on the farm - this was an interactive experience with plenty of opportunities to pick our own fruit and Nick was sure to involve the kids in the process, keeping them engaged. Nick explained how to determine if the fruit was ripe and how best to cut it (which he did for us using a large banana leaf as an "organic cutting board"). We had well over a dozen different fruits including papaya, pomelo, durian, guava, avocado, jackfruit, mountain apple, mango, banana, coconut, cacao, acerola cherries, and more. In between stops, Nick would explain the history of the farm, the principles of organic farming, and various interesting facts about the fruit we were eating. At the end of the tour, Nick sent us away with enough fresh fruit to last us the rest of our trip (you can't bring fresh fruit back to the mainland). We can't say enough what an incredibly memorable, beautiful, and informative experience the tour of Ono Organic Farms with Nick was. If you are only going to do one tour on Maui definitely make it this one - we give it our highest recommendation!

This was a stand right as you get into Hana. They were a little pricy, but had the best papaya that I ever tasted. They also had lots of other exotic fruits. We enjoyed the free samples.

If you have ever dreamed of living under a giant avocado tree and exposing your palate to the most amazing fruits you've never had access to: you must come for the Ono Organic tasting/walking tour. When you arrive, you are greeted by a huge table filled to the brim with fruits of all shapes and sizes, and equally fabulously colorful and friendly staff. They have their own coffee brewed and ready to go. You sit and your guide (ours was Hannah, who was incredibly gracious and clearly loves being a part of Ono) takes you through a journey explaining Ono's beginnings and philosophy, then an intro for each fruit that is ripe enough to cut open and serve up right there. I won't be able to recall everything we had, but it included the most amazing avocado (special grown by the owner), Surinam cherry (kinda a little pepper fruit), lilikoi, dragon fruit, coffee bean, cacao, bananas, something called a dragon's eye, plus their own dry rubs and jellies...ridiculous. After you've had your fill, you head on a walking tour of the farm, which is situated on a giant hill (sneakers might be helpful, but most people would be fine in flip flops). You get to see pretty much every tree for the fruits you just had, plus some that might not be quite in season. You get to see where they prep all the fruits to ship, and where they prep and dry their coffee beans. I could go on and on (and already have), but the bottom line is that if you're as food-obsessed as me and happen to be lucky enough to be in the area at 1:30 Mon-Fri., head to Ono. You must call ahead- tour is $35 per adult. Pay attention to the direction details - the driveway is easy to miss! Arrive a bit early to give your car time to climb the hill up to the tasting area.

    Their mangoes were terrific!

Fresh mangoes and guavas at this little fruit stand in Hana Highway. Since I'm allergic to mangoes (I know, boo!) the family said that the two mangoes from this stand were the best mangoes they had eaten. They had to be good since they were $5/mango! :-) I had the guava, and it's been years since I had guava, and it was pretty good although I was envious when the family was raving about the mangoes. Check this place out! Don't blink if you pass the Chevron station, since this place is close to it.

We had the best time! Amazing guide Nick gave us a ton of information- we got to sample tons of different tropical unique fruits and also went home with a huge box of freshly picked produce! So much fun - so beautiful- great for photography and anyone who enjoys plants and the outdoors. 10 stars! The drive is beautiful but I recommend a truck or SUV as the road is very windy and not paved for about 8 miles. We stayed in kaanapali and it was almost 3 hours of driving. Pretty awesome experience! Thank you!

Family run organic farm in kipahulu. They have a great fruit stand in Hana town open every day but Sunday. Fruit tour is a great way to see agriculture up close and try some exotic fruit you might not find elsewhere

We also had the farm-to-table brunch, and the food was absolutely incredible fresh, delicious, and one of the highlights of the tour. I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles. The meal left us full and nourished! What a wonderful anniversary gift to give my parents. We truly enjoyed it and even made some new friends, both local and visiting.

You can cover a work boot in chocolate and I would eat it, I am not ashamed to say that I am a "Chocaholic" as well as a "Chocosaurus". We met up at their factory located In Lāhainā, fabulous store and open air seating area above their factory. Great modern design and decor and fully operated on solar and Tesla back up battery's. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but the gem of the operation is "Rissi" our guide. He was so knowledgeable of the operation and spoke so well of the growing process I could have listened to him all day and never got bored. He also integrated great things in about growing up on the island, the culture and his family background. Well done "Rissi" I wanna hang out with you. I learned so much about the plants, the natural growing methods Maui Chocolate uses and the process of refining Cocoa into chocolate. The tasting after the orchard tour was in a tree house above the orchards offering beautiful views of the orchard, views of Molokai and Lanai. Once you have tasted Maui Chocolate you won't eat anything else, you shouldn't because you are eating pure coco with only natural ingredients prepared the Maui Chocolate way. Do the tour, whether it's the factory tour or the orchard tour (I am a freak about gardening and growing) so I wanted to learn more about the trees and methods and I truly learned a lot about their natural growing methods. What really hit the heart most was Maui Chocolate donates 100% of it profits to charity, works with the community and also works with other countries on growing methods. Well done Maui Chocolate, you offer more than just chocolate goodness with your huge heart. And thank you "Rissi" for sharing your culture and history while taking care of business. While we ultimately had too many people to make that work, we knew from our first visit that we wanted this special property, and the wonderful people who steward it, to be part of our nuptial celebration. We ended up hosting our rehearsal dinner here in September 2022 and, my friends, it was absolutely magical. The property itself is stunning, with a gorgeous tree canopy and colorful blooms everywhere. There are plenty of great places for a golden hour photoshoot, which we took full advantage of! They waited patiently for us to finish our photos then ushered us to our tables, which were beautiful decorated with 'olena flowers from their garden. There were so many beautiful, special touches that went above and beyond our expectations. For example, when we arrived Chef Erika adorned my husband and I with ti leaf leis they had made for us. As we sat down for dinner Chef Erika gave a Hawaiian blessing and thanked the land for providing such a bounty for us to enjoy. The food, oh my goodness the food... it was SO GOOD!! I love that they source as much as possible from their own property and from other local farmers and ranchers. Everything was so fresh and prepared beautifully. Plus, they were able to accommodate my nephew's very severe nut and dairy allergy without any issues, which we all really appreciated. They let us bring our own wine for a very reasonable corkage fee and the bottle service was gracious and timely, with never an empty glass. They also nailed the timing of the dinner, we never felt rushed nor was there too much time between courses. It was just perfect! Everyone in our party was totally blown away. They were expecting the typical rehearsal dinner at a restaurant or something and this overdelivered in the best possible way. It felt so intimate and private, just what we wanted. We all still talk about what an amazing night it was. Jesse, Madeline, and Chef Erika were such wonderful hosts, and they were great to communicate with before the event via email too. The team here truly embodies the aloha spirit. We are so very grateful for the experience they curated for us on our special night. I highly recommend Starseed Ranch for any special occasion gathering you might be hosting!! Their property, their team, their food, their aloha, is second to none.
