We just ate there and got the best bowls! The server kenadie was the best! Super friendly and sweet! And don't forget she served the wettest yummiest and best sodalicous açaí of my life! FYI she's funny
It was good! Nice acai bowls with a solid amount of options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh, and it's a great healthier option in the area.
I stopped by for a quick frozen yogurt treat and ordered the Kids Size. The serving cost nearly $5, which already feels expensive, but the portion size was the real problem: the yogurt barely filled the cup, making the container highly misleading. I understand that toppings are an extra cost, but the base portion for the Kids Size is an unacceptable value for the price charged. The large cup size feels like a case of false advertisement when the actual product is so meager. Due to the high price point and the very small, misleading portion, I will not be returning to this location. I recommend prospective customers look elsewhere if they expect fair value for their money.
We had a choice while in the North Shore of Oahu after eating our lunch at the shrimp truck...go to Leonard's for malasadas or try Ono Yo which was right near the shrimp truck. Good thing we decided to try Ono Yo! You can make your own creation or try one from the set menu. I did the mixed yogurt/acai mix. If you are in the mood for trying North Shore food trucks, you should give Ono Yo a try. Don't forget to "Check-in" on Yelp as they sometimes have little rewards for you.
Food (4.25/5): I got a medium layers of heaven with frozen Greek yogurt base and a medium wild berry with açaí base. I do not recommend the açaí --it was quite bland and flavorless; the fruit topping was really fresh though. The Greek yogurt though, I highly highly recommend! It was spectacular even if I just had it plain, which I can't say for most plain Greek yogurt. The food is a bit overpriced. Service (2/5): If this place had better service, I think I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. The staff seem aloof and disinterested. I did not tip, but that's because it's not sit-down style, and I think that might be why my portion was so small for a medium? The woman staff who took and made my order initially announced that both bowls were a small size when they were ready for pickup, but I clarified with her that I ordered two medium bowls, and she quickly corrected herself that I was being given two medium bowls. It was just a really strange and uncomfortable interaction. Ambiance (4/5): I came here on a Monday afternoon, and there wasn't a line per se, but people were ordering one after another periodically, so seems like they get consistent business. Again, I would give them 4 or even 5 stars (amazing frozen Greek yogurt, maybe even the best plain I've had), but their attitude and service needs to change. I was thinking of giving them 1 or 2 stars but the Greek yogurt again was their saving grace.
Amazing service! The girl working when we went was incredibly friendly and patient with me and husband as we worked our way through the menu trying to decide what we wanted. And the food delivered. Amazing quality, you could tell the ingredients were all fresh and the flavor was so rich - we'll definitely be going back! The cutest little truck/stand too, with hanging lights and wooden seating area. I'm craving it now as I'm writing this review... go check it out, you won't be disappointed!
This is another cool stop at the Sugar Mill. I plan to try all the eateries here before I leave. I got the acai bowl which is one of my favorites and it was refreshing and a good snack, not a meal given the small portions. Still two thumbs up!
Love coming here whenever we venture out to Kahuku for camping at Malaekahana or when we have a garlic shrimp craving. The yogurt at Ono Yo is so refreshing and my favorite is the Fruit Bowl with plain tart yogurt base. Check in via Yelp and you'll get a free topping!
We were coming back from Paipailoa to Laie side and wanted açaí bowls but they ran out of açaí which is unfortunate. There is plenty of parking in front and there are other food trucks near it. My fiancé ended up ordering the frozen yogurt base and the bliss bowl which has bananas, sliced almonds, granola and honey. It was good but we really wanted açaí so hence the 4 stars.
You m vacation and we had to drive to the north shore of the O'ahu island to the food truck village. Among other places we tried we had a little dessert here at Ono Yo! ... there was only one person working which made for a long wait but it was well worth it and we were understanding. The small bowl we tried was delicious and fresh. The set up of this little truck is awesome with the beautiful stained wood all around the deck! Definitely a place to try while visiting
This is the best frozen yogurt I ever had. It had the perfect blend with the fruit and the yogurt was no overly sweet and so smooth. This is in a food truck, so seating is limited but it was so hot we ended up in the air-condition car.

My friends have been raving about Ono Yo for quite some time now. On our most recent adventures to the North Shore, I knew I had to stop by. If you know me, you know frozen yogurt is my jam! Their flavor of the day was blackberry, but also had other yogurt options like açaí and plain yogurt to choose from. With plenty of "creations" to choose from, I was blown away by the different topping combinations. I opted for the bliss bowl with açaí, ordered a wild berry bowl with açaí for a friend, and the pb&j with plain yogurt for another friend. A bit on the pricier side, each bowl was about $8 for their smallest size. However, don't let the size of this bowl deter you away, the ingredients tasted extremely fresh! Fresh fruit, fresh sauces, **chefs kiss**, what more could you ask for? My oh my, where have I been?! How have have I passed this place on countless drives to the north shore but have never stopped?! With a name like "bliss bowl" boy, were they not lying. Each bite was our bliss. The açaí was perfectly sweet and tangy and each topping complimented each other so well. Can't wait to come back and try their other rotating flavors of yogurt! read more

Waiting for food i decided to grab a small bowl of their açaí fruit bowl with strawberries, kiwis and i substituted pineapple for mangoes. It was YUMMY. The berry base was delicious. The fruits super sweet. The only con is it's pricy for the size cup/ portion they give you. read more
With the limited amount of froyo places left on the island Ono Yo would be considered a 5/5! I loved my froyo creation (I got the regular flavor with strawberries, blueberries, granola and condensed milk on top!). It literally tasted amazing and I was scraping the bottom of my bowl for every last drop. If you make your own with 3 toppings and a sauce it comes out to the same price as a signature creation (close to $10 for the smallest size). It is on the pricier side for frozen yogurt, but I do think the quality is slightly better than the chains. My boyfriend got an acai bowl and I'm not sure how it tasted he just said "it was good". In my opinion I think you should get frozen yogurt rather than acai if you come here, because there are definitely other places that specifically specialize in acai in the area. The one thing I didn't know is if you check in on Yelp you can get one free topping! I checked in after I had already eaten more than half my bowl LOL..so I'll just have to save it for next time. THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST ACAI BOWL I'VE EVER HAD!!! and I am very picky with my acai bowls. Out of all the ones I've tried on Maui & Oahu, this is my favorite! Personally, the two most important factor to an acai bowl is taste and consistency. The consistency was thick enough so that it doesn't melt super fast and get all goopy. You can tell they didn't add a bunch of berries or other junk into the mix because it had a very potent acai flavor. I got the Tropical Bowl Creation which had banana, pineapple, coconut and is topped with Lilikoi butter. The granola and fruits tasted SO SO FRESH. I drove all the way up to north shore on my last full day just to get this again but they weren't open yet. You can imagine my sadness. I definitely will be back when I come back to Oahu... P.S. it's located next Giovanni's, a funnel cake place, and a bunch of other food vendors which makes this area the best place for a meal after catching some waves in north shore. Perfect little stop for a cool treat on a hot day. I'd be here every weekend if Kahuku wasn't on the other side of the island. Ono Yo has it's own little wooden patio setup that draws you in with charming string lights, immaculately arranged planters, and polished natural benches. It's adjacent to the sugar mill area, and has a dedicated parking area right in front that's shared with multiple trucks. There's an expansive menu of toppings, and we had a choice of 3 bases - Plain yogurt, strawberry yogurt, and acai. You get 3 toppings and a sauce drizzle for the normal sizes (S/M/L), or 6 toppings for the extra large. The bowl sizes are on the small size, so we opted for a large ($9.60). Not sure if it's the odd recyclable bowls they use, but it was still significantly smaller than a similarly priced bowl from our acai haunts in town. Sizes aside, the toppings were fresh and on point. We grabbed strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries, each of which were stacked high and positively glowingly fresh. A condensed milk drizzle tied everything together with a creamy complement. I wanted to try the yogurt as well, the namesake of the joint, so we asked for half yogurt and half acai. The yogurt was slightly tart, still much sweeter than plain greek yogurt, which works well for the topping game. The acai was as the owner describes - unusually rich and well rounded, as it's not mixed with apple juice like so many other places do. Honestly, I regretted not doing all acai, as that deep, rich flavor was captivating to the end. I want more. read more

This place is not just another frozen yogurt place. Ono Yo is YUM!!! I'm the combination of their toppings with the base yogurt were just *chefs kiss*! We got the Rocky Road which hit the spot! They have very few options for base yogurt, but lots of toppings to choose from. They have set options or you can customize your order! The one bummer was their wooden spoons - great that it's more environmentally friendly, but I'd prefer plastic. We would definitely come back though! read more

I am a first year college student at UH Manoa. Every time I'm up at North Shore with my friends I always stop by the food trucks. My order is consistently the S'mores and it never disappoints. Fun little spot for a cold and tasty frozen yogurt or açaí! My mom and I stopped here one hot afternoon and really enjoyed our frozen treats. You can choose from a ton of their suggestions or go with your own creation. I made my own and got plain tart yogurt topped with guava sauce, mango and mochi. Super good! The guava sauce added a nice sweetness to the tangy yogurt. The mochi were so good and the fresh mango was a nice addition. My mom got açaí and really enjoyed it as well. The truck has a few seats right in front of it or there are picnic tables near by as well. Friendly employees made for a great experience. Perfect spot to stop by when you're cruising the back side of the island. read more

We decided to try this food truck in our hunt for a nice little sweet treat. It's a cute little food truck, and the guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful in reviewing their menu and all the food options. My family ordered an almond joy, peanut butter cup, and a s'mores with plain yogurt for all. For my youngest we got a small size, the rest we got mediums. Honestly, next time I'll get a small for myself bc the medium was quite big and more than I could eat. They are super generous with toppings, which my four year old appreciated (tons of marshmallows). It is yogurt so it does have that tang to the flavor...so although all of our chocolatey type dishes tasted fine, I almost think the fruit ones would pair better. But great location, service, and food! Will be back :) read more

Eat your Yo fast! It melted in a hurry on this hot September day! Still tasted great. I'm not a huge fan of fro yo and my husband less so. But we really wanted ice cream and decided to give this a go. This truck may have turned us both! I had a small tropical w, pineapple fro yo, he had s'mores w, plain and our son had a kids size one with banana, granola, almonds and the pineapple fro. His was so overfilled with almonds that they were spilling all over the place. He's teething right now so he didn't love the crunchy bits anyway. I really liked the granola in it. Mine has a tropical drizzle over the top that was a bit too sweet for me, but the fruit and coconut was nice. All in all, it was about $20 and we had a great experience read more

First time trying this place and is was amazing! Lots of fresh fruit on the menu and for the most part the wait wasn't too long. At time I went, the machine took 10 mins to make the frozen yogurt so there was a bit of a wait but it didn't seem very long. We must of came at a good time because after I ordered the line started getting long. I like that they had a variety of topping choices and different yogurt selections. Not much sitting area or shady area so I would suggest grab and go! read more
So great! We had a free coupon here with an audio tour we were doing. First, the location has a ton of food trucks, vendors, souvenir places nearby so you will get more than just Ono Yo. We got their froyo with some toppings and it was delicious. It was pretty much like eating ice cream. I could have kept eating it for days! With a Yelp check-in we got a free topping as well. Best Frozen Yogurt on the North Shore of Oahu. Located next to the famous Giovanni's shrimp truck right across of Kahuku High school. They only have 2 flavors everyday which consist of plain yogurt and a special flavor. The toppings are fresh. You can create your own toppings or order one of their creations. My favorite little spot in Kahuku for a refreshing healthy treat I absolutely love Ono Yo, I come here at least once a week to get my frozen yogurt fix. The frozen yogurt is home made, they always have plain yogurt & a specialty flavor to choose from each day. There are so many different options for toppings as well. You can either go healthy with fresh fruits and honey or get your sweet tooth fix with chocolate and a variety of other amazing toppings. You won't regret it read more
$6 for a medium cup is kinda spendy, but overall the fro-yo is tasty and the fruit toppings are fresh. When we stopped by the kahuku food truck lawn, OnoYo was serving regular plain tart and acai. We decided to get the swirl (plain and acai mixed) with mango, strawberry and pineapple with condensed milk. Fro-yo is such a nice treat on a hot day. There are small little picnic chairs and umbrellas right beside the truck so you can enjoy your dessert in the shade. Service is friendly. read more

I'm 30 years old and had knee surgery. Naturally I flew my mom out to be my nurse. We're staying in Lā'ie to rehab and EAT. My coworker, God bless him, tells me I've got to check out Ono Yo next to Giovanni's. My mom goes to get her shrimp plate and BOOM! My first Ono Yo appears! Like I said, I wasn't there to order it. But to my knowledge this Greek style frozen yogurt truck offers two flavors a day. Plain and ---. Yesterday was lilikoi, today coconut. This whole two flavor arrangement works perfect for me because I'm super indecisive when it comes to lots of options. Lilikoi (passion fruit) changed my life. No toppings needed. But I do want to try that lilikoi butter! Coconut swirl- my mom requested dark chocolate shavings. When I asked her if she checked in on yelp to get the free topping she looked back at me with a blank stare! I've got so much to teach her before she leaves. read more
