I had a nasty crack on my 2014 Altima windshield after a rock hit it on the 55N. The crack was about 6" long at first, but by the end of the day it extended down halfway to the bottom. I sent several quotes to companies and Onsite was the first to respond with an unbelievably good price and a great warranty. I decided to go with them for the warranty reason. They were very professional when I called on Wednesday and offered me an appointment on a Friday. They gave me the price and said they'd email me an invoice, would call on the day of to confirm, and even call when they were on their way. Nick called and showed up ready to go. He was very polite and professional, explaining the process to me. I decided to watch out of curiosity (because I'm a car guy) and he didn't mind, even explaining and answering my questions. It sounds like they use really great OEM quality materials. He was done in about a hour and it was ready to be driven after about 15 minutes. Great work, no mess, you can't tell that anything is different. And I have a nice, new windshield that makes the car look new again. Six months later, I'm driving on the 405 in Irvine and suddenly hear a tiny but sharp sound. "Oh no, please don't let it be my windshield," I thought. Oh yes, it WAS. And not just a little nick like last time -- this time it was a freaking crack. Not as big as a quarter but definitely bigger than a nickel. I was so frustrated until I suddenly remembered Nick. Six STAR Review ... yelp needs a new category for when someone (Nick) goes above and beyond. Vandalism - back window smashed in. Not ideal, but not the end of the world ... at least in the world before supply chain issues. But this time - the replacement part wasn't anywhere. Back ordered at the dealerships - at least a month delay. Was not looking forward to either having to rent a car or drive around with plastic taped to the window frame for a month. I've been dreading to replace my windshield for almost a year simply because of my past bad experience with another glass shop. The last glass shop installed a cheap glass in my 2014 BMW. I went with the lowest quote which was $195 when all the other companies were quoting me $250- $700. It was the biggest mistake I ever made for my car. After I paid the technician, he told me I can drive my car within an hour which I thought was fantastic because I needed to go pick up my daughter from school. As soon as I sat in my driver's seat I noticed right away that there was something off about the windshield. The windshield had distortions right above my steering wheel where I directly look through. I was a bit upset but I figured I can live with it because I don't have the time to go through another replacement. When I got back home from picking up my daughter, I pulled my trash bin in from the streets and noticed there were still trash in it. The technician threw most of his trash in my trash can and now I have to wait for another week for it to be emptied. Wonderful! Out of curiosity, I looked up the adhesive canister information that he left in my trash and discovered that the adhesive that he used had a SDAT(safe drive away time) of 12 hours!! That meant I wasn't suppose to drive my car for atleast 12 hours until the glue cure and this guy said "safe to go pick up your kid." Now I was extremely furious. I called the company and told them about how I felt and told them about the distortion. They said they'll be out the next day. They never showed up. I called again, they apologized and said they'll come out on a Saturday and again no show. I kept on calling them and they blocked my number so I stop chasing them around. Fast forward close to a year later after the recent heavy rain my windshield started leaking bad. That's when I made it my priority to get it replace correctly. Thank God I met Nick! Clean cut guy, very professional, very polite. He came to my office in his Mercedes Sprinter van and replaced my windshield in less than an hour and he used the 30min cure adhesive. My car feels like a brand new car now with this new windshield. I waited a week to write this review just because I needed to make sure there was not going to be any issue. I am absolutely satisfied with his work and with his overall service. My wife compared my whole ordeal to her experience with bad hair stylist. You'll be lucky to find the right one to do the job so when you do, keep him. I highly recommend Nick and Onsite Autoglass to all my friends and family. read more
