While on the highway recently, a small rock at high velocity hit my windshield in front of the passenger side. The crack was about an inch long and had lines already apparent. I received a few quotes from several reputable vendors and Del Amo Auto Glass struck the best balance between mobile repair and cost. The repair is viable as long as it is no larger than a quarter size. Otherwise a complete windshield replacement may need to be considered. Pablo was wonderful to schedule with and the work took no longer than half an hour. The crack was well sealed by resin and the lines were gone as well. For certain types of cracks, it's impossible to completely mask the imperfection. This was as close to perfection as one could hope for and I greatly appreciate Pablo's expertise. When considering a windshield replacement, Pablo would be the person I choose from here on out and recommend to friends and family. Pablo is meticulous with his work. His service is fairly priced and he's very good at communicating. He came out to my place in a couple of days after I requested the brand of glass I want. When replacing the windshield, he noticed a small scratch on the glass that his supplier provided (a scratch I would not have noticed, to be honest). He then put that one on and wait until he gets a replacement from the supplier before paying him in full. We set-up a time for him to come back and on that day, the same thing happened. He had to get another glass again for the third time, and this is when the glass was pristine and he was able to replace it again. Some may think it's a hassle for you, and I'd understand. Due to the flexibility of my schedule, I had no issues. But this man had to make three trips to his supplier(s), and three trips to my place just to ensure quality service and quality product...THAT right there is someone who deserves all the recognition. Pablo even explained the process to me as he was performing the replacement. He calmed my fears about going with an aftermarket windshield as well as the materials and process he employed for my repair. Came and replaced my windshield at my office. Had a ton of conference calls to deal with and Pablo was very communicative and let me know when the car was done. Noticed and was informed there's new rubber sealant used which makes the glass look like it was just placed on top of the frame. Was insured that was a new design and told to call if there's any issues. Took the car for a test drive and it seemed pretty sealed up. Waiting for a couple days before taking it to the wash to see if there's any leaks. Other than that, very happy I went with Del Amo and recommended them to a few coworkers. Amazing service! I called Pablo yesterday regarding a crack on my driver side windshield (2020 Mazda3) that ran along my eye line.
