I took the 90 minutes tour through Lock 32, which goes through it, tours a bit, and turns around. Light refreshments including beer and wine are available. The tour guides are well informed and the staff very friendly. It's a pleasant and educational trip. Adults pay $30, with lower fees for seniors, military and kids. Very much worthwhile.

Last October, when the Fall color was at its peak, I decided to take another canal tour. A lunch tour to lock 32. At the last minute a friend wanted to join me. I called the office, and they were able to accommodate us, but not able to get the lunch for her. We had a blast. We shared the Fairport Lunch, drank seltzer water and beer and shared the boat with a group on a surprise tour that ended on the canal tour. This trip was completely different from my previous one in the opposite direction. The experiences were different and the colors of the foliage enviable; gold, reds, oranges. The weather was perfect, partly cloudy, and then the sun broke and warmth came up and we had a sunny day Toward the end of the ride, the wind started to pick up. Along the way there were historical facts given by the crew. And we sang the famous "Low Bridge" song I was very happy, and my friend was also impressed with the trip. I highly recommend this tour.

It had all the comforts of a small floating hotel room. A Full kitchen , comfortable beds, air conditioning , sheets, linens, towels, pots and pans, silverware and to top it all off, a bicycle for each of us. Erie Canal Adventures has thought of everything. Their three hour training was thorough and easy to understand, and included practice time on the canal and negotiating lock 30 twice. All their employees are patient and helpful as were all the other boaters we encountered. On several occasions we experienced a little difficulty with the docking process and each time other boaters were there to assist. There are many towns along the canal, most of which offer dock space and electrical and water hookups, sometimes for a small fee, but often for free. The boats motor along at a stately 6 mph, which might seem slow in 2025, but it's precisely the right pace on the canal. Even on the hottest days 6 mph was fast enough that there was always a cooling breeze. I can't recommended this vacation highly enough. I'd like to say that it was the vacation of a lifetime, but I strongly suspect I'll be back next year.

The boats are easy to operate, well designed and make a comfortable trip. Bow thrusters are a game changer for the amateur sailors. We spent seven nights on Canadaigua. Two double beds were comfortable and once you plug in for air conditioning it's even better! Take a leisurely cruise from town to town. Shop, eat and enjoy dinner on a true piece of American history! We found everything needed along the way. Everyone at Erie Canal Adventures made it great. Even my wife who was intimidated about driving the boat got into it. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

When I went to Fantasy Raceways I was welcomed and it was nice to just run your car, no judgment, just have fun. Also picked up a few tips on car construction and setup from other guys there. Even though its still an hour drive for me I'm looking forward to getting into this hobby a bit more, fun without any plans on being a top competitor. I can't say enough about how gracious and helpful Jeff, the owner, is. Even if you've never run a slot car, this is an activity and venue that you can enjoy without a lot of cost and clutter.

I put my slotcar on the track, and I might as well have been moving backwards, as the newer cars were much lighter, due to the magnesium chassis and super-thin bodies. The arcade games are wonderful and the proprietor is very friendly and helpful. The last time I visited, my daughter and I took back break and bought food from a restaurant next door. After a while, my daughter said,?" Dad, do you realize we've been here for 5 hours?" R O'Connor

After searching for a near and wide, my sister found Orions Landing, which proved to be beyond our expectations. We had a group of 5 teenage boys who were hungry and full of energy. We were planning on doing a walk session, it was 3pm but online, they stated their next session wasn't until 6. We called to verify, the manager said there was party coming in if we made it in before 4 p.m., he could accommodate us earlier. Bet!!! So we made it in exactly at 4pm. Our crew was able to choose two 30 minute games for $35 each. While the teens played we adults also played !! They had a giant Jenga, chess board, table hockey, and a bunch of other arcade games. Speaking of adult time !! They actually had adult beverages and not just beer and cider but actual ALCOHOL!! I definitely see myself planning an adult birthday party or fun meet-up here !! We also indulged in some pretty cheesy mozzarella sticks that weren't overcooked. When the boys got they were treated to in house made pizza !! We got the traditional cheese and pepperoni, I was actually really surprised that this pizza was actually really good !! Cup and pep, nicely portioned cheese and sauce and perfect dough !! One of the owners, who I might add is such a nice truly guy, said that they use fresh ingredients. We can definitely tell !! In additional they have all sorts of other food, like fries and pizza logs the list goes on and on !! Our crew had such a fun time and my nephew is still smiling about his experience. Oh might I add Orion Landing was opened under a different name and location prior to covid. We took my nephew and his same crew minus a few 6 years ago! Even more impressive one of Owners remembered us and enjoyed a laugh with is at how much the kids had grown and other fun moments of the previous party we had. I'm so glad to say same great service, with a much Improved atmosphere!! In addition to Vr gaming they have a virtual escape room and a neon paint splatter room !! I can't stop tell people about our experience!! A great place for older kids and adults alike!! We will definitely be back time and time again !! So should you !! I wish I'd taken more pictures to share just how awesome this place is !

We don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing…read more.. This place is big! I spent over four hours here, and could've easily spent more. This place reminded me of the Exploratorium in San Francisco, , except instead of interactive exhibits highlighting scientific principles, these interactive exhibits were all about play! Play for both the kids, and the grown-ups. They had a ropes course for the younger kids, and another one for older kids and the grown-ups. For the kids, they had a scale model of a local grocery chain, where the kids could either "work", or "shop", right down to the working checkout lanes. They had a Sesame Street exhibit...., A butterfly habitat, and and All kinds of different indoor and outdoor play areas. I can still hula hoop! (for a whole five seconds...). They also had all of the exhibits on toys, games, and video games. This is the home of the national toy, Hall of Fame, and the national video game Hall of Fame. it was so cool seeing toys from my childhood, and a wide range of video games and pinball machine machines that are playable. The price to get in is very reasonable, and they also offer a military/veterans discount, and memberships to the museum, which offer free museum admission. There is a parking garage attached to the museum, with a small charge for parking, and there is a also a small charge for the ropes course, the butterfly habitat, or to play the video games/pinball machines. (4 tokens for a dollar, and every machine only takes one token...) This is an absolutely fun museum for kids of all ages. Thanks!!!

Reliving childhood memories and making new ones with the whole family…read more The Strong National Museum of Play is the ultimate place for interactive play with over 282,000 sq ft of fun exhibits. Smaller kids were able to immerse in the toy Grocery Store, Reading Adventureland pirate mail, and Sesame Street exhibits on the 1st floor. There were neat areas including the Pinball Playfield and outdoor Field of Play with a D&D dragon statue and Monopoly for photo-ops on a nice day. The Hulk strength and Spider-Man city climb exhibits in the Comic Book Hero area were also fun. On the 2nd floor, the Digital Worlds and Video Game Hall of Fame featured many classic and independent video games that kept us entertained on various consoles. We also had plenty of fun in the Level Up area, especially with the interactive stealth zone and wall toss games. These were all included in the admission price but my personal favorite were the arcades at $1 per 5 tokens and featured Mario Cart and Halo plus many more games from the past four decades. We literally visited three days in a row here to experience the many parts of the museum for multiple days of play. With added admission, we also worked up a sweat on the Skyline Climb rope course and zipline above the atrium. It was well-designed with a safety rail & traffic light system that made it suitable for young kids. The site has a rainbow parking garage with 6 parking entries included in each annual family membership. Skip it or hit it? We had such a fun time that we'll definitely revisit in the future. Good thing it's only 3 hours drive from Toronto.
