I initially ordered something through Amazon prime that's a 2 day delivery, but OnTrac was the carrier. First 4 attempts the driver could not locate the correct gate to access my apartments. After speaking with 4 OnTrac workers I had the delivery address changed. Two days later it was still in originals drivers truck and no attempt to deliver. I was told I can pick up at the OnTrac warehouse which defeats the purpose of 2 day Amazon shipping. After the 6th day of waiting I ended having to cancel my order. I suggest if you order from Amazon make sure the delivery isn't from OnTrack!! read more

Terrible service! Supposed to deliver for Amazon. We live in the west side canyons of Morgan Hill and get great UPS service, and now FedEx has improved and delivers to door. OnTrac driver declares packages delivered to front door and we are missing everything from dog food to specialty glassware to gifts that never show up. Driver must be selling our stuff as I have never seen a driver since a delivery 3 years ago, and even had a neighbor deliver a package they found over quarter mile away in a rainstorm the company declared driver said he'd delivered to my front door. Should be called Offtrac. Disgusting joke of a company. They always deliver late by at least two days. Their tracking system shows that they are moving the packages from their San Jose site every day, but never to my house. I never had a delayed Amazon shipment with UPS from thousands of deliveries, yet every single delivery involving these clowns is late by at least two days. Absolutely pathetic. I hope Amazon notices that they are always late or that deliveries from them are often returned due to being late and drops them soon. From now on, every delivery that I see gets assigned to them, I plan to return it even if it's on time. That will teach them to have complete disregard for customers. read more

Horrible service! Twice now they lost my packages from Sephora. And they did nothing to compensate for the harassment. The delivery man seems questionable too. As I stayed home to receive the package and no one came to deliver anything. Rather all of a sudden I got a text update that my parcel was delivered. But it was not delivered at all. I checked with my neighbours, the mailroom and the management office and NOTHING! the customer service reps even said the driver came back to my house to check and re-trace the delivery - but Guess what they never came. I was at home all day to make sure this gets solved. NEVER USE OnTrac..... I agree with all the negative reviews for on trac - they are there not to serve you but to harass you as a customer!!!! 18 years ago i evicted a person from one of hy houses for non payment and other things. This was in 2004. in 2021 i was at the lical post office. The reson i was evicted was thier too. He finished his business and was wearing a company shirt from Ontrac. He was at work at that time. He waited for me for 15 approx minutes. He came up tp me and said i have been on your property and at your house delivering packages. Hesaid he wanted his property fron the eviction 18 ish years ago. I said what ever, i then called his company and they said that thsi had happened. they said that they would make sure he would not be delivering my packages. then on 1-3-2021 i recieved another package. this one had a note on it from this person and he wanted his property from 18 years ago and he left his phone number this time. i again called OnTrac ans they said he would not be on my property again. this was confirmed through email. Yesterday on 4-6-2022 i reciebed a shipping notification that i would have a package from OnTrac. I called OnTrac and found out that this person would be delivering my perishable package. through many calls i was told that I would need to pick up the package and they would contact me or email when and were to pick it up. on 4-7-2022 i started to call OnTrac at approc 10:30 am to find out were to pick up the package. No one could tell me. i was escalated to a higher person again. they saidd that they would contact me back. i called a second time a hour later and was told about the same thing. it was now approx 1230 pm. I then called back again and was told that the package was sent back and that all further packages would be held at a location in my local city. they again could not give me a phone number or address of this facility. how in the world can i get my packages if i can not find were they are. they said that they did not know where the place was either. this is stupid on there part and i will not or try not to use them since this is not correctEditDelete read more

This has to be the worst delivery service around. I have had about five deliveries from them and not one of them have been good. They have delivered packages to my neighbors. Left packages on the street. Delivered packages past 11 PM. And simply neglect to deliver packages on the day they were contracted to. I think I'm going to have to make it known to the companies are use that I will not be purchasing their products if they use Ontrac to deliver. read more

Terrible! Several negative experience with Ontrac. So every time I see a package sent to me is with Ontrac, I'm prepared to deal with package loss. It's been several times that packages were marked delivered at around 10pm but never show up. It looks to me that the driver just randomly picked an option to mark it as delivered because they were unable to deliver it before the end of the day. Had a few things delivered from amazon and they were being delivered by OnTrac. On my camera I was able to see that the delivery person lobbed the package onto our porch and left it in plain sight. That package was stolen later that day as it was out in the open. If they had taken an extra moment and 3 more steps they could have put it behind the railing which would have been out of sight somewhat and more protected. read more

This is the WORST shipping company EVER!! it so far has taken 11 days (and still counting) to ship a small package from los Angeles to gilroy! their phone customer support has long time waiting of 60+ minutes. the online tracking display says its in transit but doesn't say where! poorly run and understaffed. don't waste a few dollars save with this company to send your package that takes forever to get. bad business! read more

Edit: After claiming that my address was "bad" and my following up on the package multiple times, the package is now "lost." They either need new management or new staff because this is nonsense. I ordered some stuff through a company that trusts OnTrac to deliver on time. It was supposed to arrive on Friday, but the driver claimed that I had a bad address. A call to OnTrac confirmed that my address is perfectly valid. They apologized and said they would deliver on Saturday. No delivery so I call and they say Monday. It's Monday now and I'm on hold after being told that even though the package was marked for priority delivery, the facility didn't put it on a truck today so the earliest I can expect it is tomorrow. Really hope the facility sees these reviews and gets its act together. At this point, even USPS is more reliable! Bottom line: Don't trust them to get anything delivered in time. read more

They either deliver with nary an issue, on time or they go the extreme and fail to deliver because who knows why. If I could give negative stars, I would. This company has lost my packages twice. It says delivered, but it is no where in sight. I was home both days, and not a knock or ring was made on the door. I was tracking the package through out the day, and saw that it was "delivered" 15 minutes ago. I open the front door, and nothing. Same thing the second time. I called Amazon to complain, and Amazon refunded/replaced the item. I also called ONTRAC, and they said the driver would come by tomorrow to retrace his steps. Let me tell you something, nobody came - ever. I tried to make it clear that UPS and Fedex has never lost my packages, but Ontrac has lost it twice. On the phone, Ontrac didn't care at all. They just use that lame "driver will retrace his steps" excuse over and over again. I said I would like to speak with the driver over the phone, but that's not allowed. Bull crap. The worst delivery service I have dealt with. I have been ordering from Amazon in the past years with no issues when they use UPS and USPS. Lately they have used this horrible delivery service, and all deliveries were late. I just called Amazon customer service about repeated late deliveries even though it says "guaranteed delivery date on..." and they asked if I would like to move "OnTrac" to the bottom of my list for my deliveries. I'm so upset right now I could cry. I ordered something from Best Buy that only allowed delivery to my home. This is my first time using On Trac delivery services. Surprisingly my package was going to be delivered early today 2/20/20. My delivery notification stated that my delivery was out at 8:30 AM and was supposedly "delivered" to my apt. at 9:29am. I left work in order to put my expensive item in the house and when I got home at 10am and nothing was there. I have been very fortunate to never experience porch pirates and have packages delivered all the time, including my neighbors. I called On Trac to see why my package said delivered when it was not. I checked with my neighbors and front office and nothing was delivered. I opened an investigation with them and Best Buy to find out where my package is. I also had one of my neighbors check their ring camera and lo and behold NO ONE WAS AT MY APARTMENT! NO DELIVERY! NO PACKAGE! NOTHING! I'm still waiting for a response about where my package is. The only nice thing I could say is that the customer service dept that answers my calls have been nice and understanding when I call every few hours to get an update. read more

Why did you do it Amazon! I used to be in love with Amazon, but we are now in divorce court over dealing with OnTrac. They might be OnTrac somewhere, but it isn't to your house at the time requested. So, I ordered a package from Amazon was told to expect it by 1700 on the day of delivery. So, I planned my entire day around not leaving my house so that I could be sure not to miss this package. Guess I should have specified the time zone, as I think they meant by 1700 on Venus, because at 1700 at my house, the only thing on my doorstep was my wasted time, and disappointment. So, I called the company, and suddenly things became so clear. Most times you are rerouted to Cambodia to speak with someone name Am-buh Jonesun (Amber Johnson), who is super obsessed with asking you if they have provided you with excellent service even though they failed to understand a word you said; however, OnTrac, is manned by good ole US Grade A housing project/trailer park/prison personnel, or at least that's what it felt like.... I think they still have an answering machine with a cassette tape.... one that loops for about an hour, because that was about how long it took me to get a "Representative" on the phone. After inquiring about the location of my package at now 1830, I was told that Amazon should not have guaranteed a time because they can't be sure that your package would arrive by then... WTH I said, well not only did Amazon say the package would be here by 1700, your email confirmed the same. She said, "That is automatically generated by the computer once the package arrives in our facility, but once it's on the truck i can take longer." I said, "I paid for this delivery because I needed my package by a certain time, and all I can see is that my package reached your facility at 0600, and then vanished, can you call the driver so that I can see if it is at least coming today...? "No." Can you ask them to hold it at a pick up facility for later, "No" So now at 1900, I have not left my house, the sun has even abandoned me, she tells me that the last delivery is at 2100, so I should wait for it until then. I paid $24 for next day delivery, guaranteed for 1700, and lost my entire day and money at this point. I called Amazon, who did reroute me to Cambodia, but Am-buh was just as annoyed as I was, so she called OnTrac for me, and at that time we were told that they could not locate the product, because their last update was at 0600.... Am-buh apologized and refunded my shipping, yay I guess, but I still needed my box. At 2317 I heard something thud against my door... Not a knock, buzz or anything, and just my sad, beat-up box... like the prom queen who showed up at the reunion as a Meth addict I'm sure my box started out great, but it was unrecognizable at this point. Furthermore, I was told that the last delivery would be around 2100 and they were closed at this hour, but I guess the driver stopped off for Happy Hour and decided to deliver the box after a pint and some hot wings. At 0800 the following morning I received a call from Ontrac apologizing and stating that they still could not locate my package, but would contact me when they had a delivery time??? I told Amazon if I order something that has to be shipped by them, just keep it. Last night I ordered my replacement wheelchair via Amazon, please please please Amazon do not send it by OnTrac so I'll have to drag my handicapped Arse around the neighborhood on my belly while the driver shoots dice with Peanut, Joker, and Sad Clown in the alley on my box top until midnight the following day. read more

Here is why OnTrac, formerly California Overnite, formerly Express Messenger is so bad. Their shipping rate is about half of UPS or Fed EX. The way they charge so little and keep costs down is by using independent contractors. These folks are underpaid and overworked. I should know. I worked there for a number of years. If the new independent contractor/employee law goes into effect in CA, hopefully it will be by by OnTrac. I should also mention Golden State is just as bad. Drivers for ontrac will claim that they do not have the "gate access code" for a delivery on homes that have no gate. Another yelper noted this exact same phrase. Don't believe ontrac. This is a dishonest method of shifting blame back onto the recipient when a driver fails to deliver the package on time or to the correct location. We are Amazon prime members. So we order a lot. Since OnTrac took over delivery of most Amazon orders from UPS, the delivery process is steeped in mystery and exasperation. After multiple calls, and brief but informative convos with the sups and managers at the facility one thing is clear - management thinks there are delivery procedures that delivery people are following. But really, there AREN'T any! Being as there's always someone home, I've repeatedly asked why it is that delivery personal do not ring the doorbell? Management is always so - apparently genuinely - concerned, and tell me of course delivery staff is instructed to ring the doorbell, that I am incredulous as to how this information fails to be passed on to the people who should be doing the ringing. When I have managed to catch the delivery person, who literally throws the package on my doorstep and runs, I am told they are not supposed to ring the doorbells. When I tell the managers at OnTrac, they again act surprised, even angry at the delivery personal's lack of following "orders." So, to sum up. OnTrac sucks eggs! This company is doing more damage to my relationship with Amazon then Amazon obviously, or should that be obliviously(?), knows! read more

I got a package that I order on Amazon and rush shipping by Ontrac and it supposed to arrived on 8/23/2017 but it did not arrive so I called the service center and the person took my called said he going to call me back when he found out the status of my package but he never did. The next day I check the tracking status on their website say that my package rescheduled to delivery on 8/24/2017. I assume that I will get my package by the end of the day so didn't bother to call and waited until 5pm but no deliver, I called again and asked where is my package go? And request to talk to their manager about this matter. 2 hours later the manger called me back and said that the could not find my package.. the package got checked in at their location but never get check out. Just vanished to the winds.. He said that he going to investigate but a day went by no call, no update on my package. This is not a first time I had this experience with OnTrac. I order a lot of stuff on Amazon weekly and 4 out 10 package ship by Ontrac arrived late to next morning of the day it supposed to deliver. Customer service is non-existent, followed with the same broken record time and time again...we'll follow up with our carrier to see if he delivered at the right location and get back to you...blah, blah, blah. I live in a secure building with a non-functioning intercom system, so getting packages (among other things) is always a pain. When I saw that my Amazon shipment was coming through OnTrac, and then reading the rough experiences people have had with them, I was expecting the worst. As it turned out, I was going to be home the day my package was supposed to arrive. To hopefully avoid a hassle, I called the 800 numbers on the OnTrac website (where I got through immediately to a very friendly representative), let them know about the intercom, and asked if the driver could instead give me a call upon arrival so I didn't miss them. She said that while she couldn't guarantee the driver would have a phone available, she would pass my contact number to him with an explanation about the intercom. A few hours later the driver called me from right outside the building, and I was able to get my package. I was fortunate that delivery fell on a day I happened to be home, but on the whole I was very pleased with both how they handled my request and the level of service provided by the driver and phone rep. read more

STILL WAITING!!!! It sounds like we are having a common problem with this company. I ordered a birthday gift for my husband through Amazon Prime on 1/2/13, and supposedly it was shipped to there Stockton warehouse on the 5th.... Well its the 10th and everyday we just keep getting a "redeliver next business day" update. Someone has been home every day, and there have been no signs of delivery. At least other delivery company's ring the doorbell or knochk once as they sprint back to their trucks I am guessing they overstretched themselves by taking an Amazon contract, but I don't pay for Prime to packages to take 2 weeks to arrive. Had a not so great experience with my amazon package with this carrier. They supposedly delivered to my home (as it stated on the tracking). Contacted them the day after saying that I never received a package and the lady that answered the phone was very rude saying that they rang the doorbell and that they left it there, although they said my neighbor was outside looking. Well hello, people steal!! AND never did I hear anybody ring the doorbell ( I was in the living room right by the door). I wish they were a little bit more considerate when delivering valuable packages instead of just leaving there before the person actually opens the door. I have NEVER seen a worse shipping company. I had a package come to my property last week and my neighbor who lives in my cottage told the driver to take the package down the driveway to my Home/Office and the driver refused. I had to drive down(2hr round trip) to their facility in Milpitas and pick up the package the next day because the refused to deliver it that day. I instructed them that there was two homes on the property and to note it in their records so this doesn't happen again. OK, you think that's bad enough there's more... The company that I ordered product from used them again 2 days ago, two packages, one sent from Brea and one sent from Fremont. Not only the same thing happened it gets worse. I had the shipping company track the package again this morning, thinking, could this possible happen again, and they told the shipper that the delivery was refused, lied out their you know what to theit own customer, I was FLOORED. We even used the other address on the property and no luck. The reality is the driver just didn't want to deliver the package so it never even was attempted yesterday and of course no calls to either me or the shipper. So I had my shipper's management call Ontrac and deliver a very stern message about using their services; if they can't deliver packages to their customers why would we use them. It took me calling them as well, which after telling the Customer Service Rep, which btw, was very apologetic and actually got the message across to their team to get the packages on a truck and out for delivery by the end of the day. We wrote up a driver complaint, not sure what that will do, hope he doesn't do a "driveby" on my property, the 2nd Customer Service person was pleasant and at least listened and acted appropriately, can't say that about the 1st Cust Serv Rep that basically just blew me off...so now all I can do is wait and see. Makes two days now that I had someone hired to work on a client of mine's equipment and there was a no-show on the parts to be delivered. Paid Amazon extra for same/next day shipping and again my order was not delivered on time as promised! I even called in advance and provided gate access instructions and their drivers NEVER seem to read these notes and follow directions! Now I have to waste my time driving to their office to pickup my package THE NEXT DAY on top of the wasted time I've spent over the phone on hold to speak with a customer service rep regarding my issue! USPS, FEDEX, and UPS NEVER have a problem entering my condo complex. This business is really frustrating and disappointing, and I wish I didn't have to deal with them. Ontrac delivery person delivered a package containing $500 worth of Amazon items I ordered for Christmas presents and was delivered on 12-23-13. The package was left right on the front steps of my porch for everyone to see instead of behind the concealed portion of my porch, which would have taken an extra one second of effort. Needless to say, someone driving by saw the large package left in plain view and stole it. Very disappointed with Ontrac. read more
