It was Kohl's which used this service, so not my choice. It only states in the e-mail which. Since shipping on May 9th, I used both e-mail 'Track this shipment' as well the Kohl's app 'Orders' section, which hyperlinks to site stating estimated delivery time Wednesday May 20th; shipping updates were sparing as it slowly came closer - it being that close in my State, I checked every day several times after about three days (12th) - no change in estimation... and on the 20th was the only change, saying delivery estimate would be Thursday the 21st - Friday the 22nd. That Thursday... there was a string of updates in tracking, from arrival in my town the 11th, a delivery attempt that day saying 'Company closed'? to on the 12th a return to shipper, next another delivery attempt, to a claim I refused the item on the same day. Bizarre. They sent it back hundreds of miles away to hold and that I should call. Nice lady, but she had no idea what it was about - she did say that it says in her notes my 'office manager' refused the package - there is neither an office manager nor a business at my address. My address is correct in their system. They ended up handing it back to Kohl's on the 18th according to her, which it says nowhere, and Kohl's denies - the latter I caught in multiple lies & fraud so I tend to believe this assistant, as she had exact address & tracking data for where it went and proof that it got handed off which Kohl's did not. And now Kohl's refuses to resend it, claiming my fault - their first response was that they are unfamiliar with OnTrac, and are charging me anyway, since they also claim they do not have it back. They SHIP with OnTrac, and apparently have for quite some time. Incredible, this denial of knowing this service, which I had no part in choosing. Still, this shipping company has the worst service ever, as a delivery driver only has to enter the address correctly in their mobile phone or GPS, so being at the wrong address is not any excuse - neither is not ever giving me any notice, or not identifying a person they *might* have spoken with, as it sure wasn't me. Never knew a thing about this until today, the 21st - my phone gets regularly refreshed so no glitch on my part - so that's why I called. This is pretty hideous. read more

The best service for when you aren't sure if you ever want your package to be received let alone received on time. I've been dealing with a vendor who ships exclusively using Ontrac. I've had numerous packages unexpectedly delayed. This is annoying enough but the lack of accurate communication as to when the package will actually be delivered is even more annoying. In some cases the package simply never arrives despite repeated promises that it will be delivered (only available to the shipper when they contact ontrac to get a response). Most recently I had a package that was promised for Monday but then delayed to the following day. Fine, that's not a big deal. I see that it arrived 17 miles away in Hayward, CA on that date so seems like I'll have it soon enough. Now, it's Friday and the package is still telling me it will be delivered on the Tuesday -- as if they had some magical way of sending it back through time so I'd get it before now. The tracking information says it was delayed because of a weather event. We've had a little bit of rain, or maybe more aptly called drizzle but that was days ago. If this was the first or second time this had happened I would just be a little annoyed. Seems like it's every 3 or 4th shipment that gets delayed and i'm sick of having to call the vendor, communicate for a few days to see if it is eventually delivered and then have to coordinate cancellation and reshipment. i've told the vendor that I will not be doing business with them until they contract with a new shipping company. Until then I'll be shopping elsewhere and I NEVER WOULD EVER ship a package using Ontrac myself. Unless of course I didn't want it to reach its destination. They are good at that. read more

I ordered a pair of shoes from REI and they unfortunately chose OnTrac to deliver them to me. I received an email that the package was delivered on 12/5/2019 and left at my front door at 4:30 pm. I was home at the time. The dog was home at the time. My security cams were working at the time. There was no package that was delivered to my door that day. I emailed OnTrac three times before getting a response a few days later. The email said that they would send the driver back to see if he/she could "find" the package. That email was five days ago. I haven't heard from them since. In the meantime, I called REI and they sent me a new pair of shoes. I specifically requested they use ANYONE BUT ONTRAC. UPS delivered the replacement pair yesterday. But REI shouldn't have to chalk up the loss for OnTrac's negligent or perhaps purposeful diversion of goods. I keep thinking that my shoes are being worn by some OnTrac delivery person or some boyfriend of some OnTrac delivery person while they continue to lose packages for others around here. The absolute LOW OF THE LOW. The absolute worst and the most unreliable delivery company out there. They don't even deserve one star. Two times in a row my package was NOT delieved (although the driver indicated that it was delievered at a certain time. I was actually home both days AND during those times and the packages were NOT delivered). The second time around, the driver never bothered to drive by my house to deliever my package and LIED about it that it was delieved at 11:30 AM, so I went and checked the security camera from 10:30 AM all the way to 12:30 PM that day. There were absolutely NO sight of any OnTrac van or any kind of delivery by OnTrac during that time (absolutely no delievery person what so ever during that time interval). The OnTrac vans have no GPS, so the managers don't even know where the van is at any time (they're not traceable). This company is the most unreliable delivery company out there. Ontrac has giving me so many problems with packages from Amazon. They seem to never have availability to the amazon locker and their office has no clue why my packages were undeliverable. I call customer service to change shipping address before the 3rd and final attempt and I am unable to change the delivery for my own package. They will only talk to Amazon regarding changing my shipping address. Going through amazon is whole other issue, they seem confused about being required to call Ontrac about a customer address change request. So instead of risking them returning my package back to Amazon, i just pick up the package from the Ontrac office which is not convenient and makes my Amazon prime yearly fee purposeless and a waste of money. Ontrac Sucks, Fed Ex can never seem to get the packages to the front door, UPS is the best. UPS always is able to get to the front door regardless of security access gates. I requested Amazon to never use ontrac to ship my packages but supposedly they have no control over carrier ships items. read more

It is shocking that high end retail stores like Nordstrom and Anthropologie continue to use OnTrac. Several times I've had to contact my retailers because OnTrac would mark my precious packages as "delivered" when there is no way they were delivered. On at least one instance I was home the entire day when 2 important packages from Nordrtrom were supposedly delivered. I contacted OnTrac's customer service recently to complain about a non-delivered "delivered" important package, but there was no response contrary to the automated response stating they would respond in 48 hours. I have no doubt that some if not all of my lost packages were stolen by the drivers or were allowed to be stolen. Hard to believe such gross negligence if not outright theft is tolerated by retailers who continue to use this corrupt organization. I may have just been unlucky about the timing of my order, but even their customer service was horrible. I ordered a piece of electronics from NewEgg on a Thursday Evening the 16th. I was given the tracking numbers and told the expected delivery date was the 23rd. I tracked the package for the item over the weekend and noted that the item was scanned into their Milpitas facility on Saturday. So imagine my Surprise when it is Wednesday and I call asking about the package and they tell me that they see that it was scanned in, but they cant find it AND I should call my vendor to file a claim against it. There is nothing they can do etc, etc. Long Story short after filing a claim with NewEgg, I am getting the electronic through UPS. The tracking number still shows it in the facility. I would give ZERO stars! I left OnTrac a very clear sign not to leave my delivery at the mailbox, which is 300 feet from my house. My neighbor saw them stop, read the sign, apparently did not care and left the package under the mailbox. When I got to the mailbox, package was gone! Where did it go? Ordered prescription med catfood through Chewy, and never have I ever had a problem with Chewy. It's their poor decision in choosing Onquack as their courier. Back tracked my package to this Milpitas OT hub was NOT surprised of their one star rating. After reviewing my porch video I found damages to my epoxy-resin/textured porch. Sent a lovely letter to both Chewy and OT. I wish I could give lower! This company is ridiculous. Tried following a order I had and it showed it was delayed. When I tried to contact customer service, there was no response. It stayed delayed for 5 days, I sent a message every day and didn't get a response. Package was delivered on the 6th day and then got a message saying "it looks like your package was delivered".
