Again bad service. Vendors continually send us parts using On Trac (not our choice). We need the parts here in a day and it never fails, On Trac is always late or a no show. Every time a package from Amazon is shipped by OnTrac, I get an email saying the package was delivered and it hasn't been. It takes an extra 2-3 days for it to show up. When I've tried to contact them about the package, I get no response or are told the package was probably delivered to the wrong address but will be tracked down. They've never completely lost a package but the delay and stress of not being able to rely on them is frustrating. read more

Never received three boxes of medical supplies I ordered. Two 12 pound boxes and one five pound box was supposedly left on my doorstep at my apartment. However after checking the camera system at the gate of my complex as well as the cameras by the mailbox on trac never delievered any package and were never seen on the property the day they claim to have delievered my packages. They claim they did an investigation and found that the courier did deliver my packages as listed on their tracking information. This company sucks and are straight liars. I have video evidence that they did not deliver my packages and they just put all the blame and cost on the shipper who chose to give them the business. The drivers probably drive to a selected area and scan the packages in the truck to make it seem they were delievered in the right location. (Scanning the packages for delivery activates a gps tracker) But instead of delivering the packages to the customer they probably drive away with the packages and come up on all of the free items. Don't blame them company policies suck. To depend on that method of technology is a joke highly unsophisticated and unreliable. Never use on trac I'm sure they will be out of business soon anyway. read more

OnTrac is the absolute WORST package delivery company that I have ever had to deal with in my life. I order from Amazon all the time. Last month a package showed being delivered on Amazon's site and on OnTrac's site. It was not delivered. I called OnTrac and the customer service rep told me the delivery driver would come out the next day and "show me" where he put the package. When he came out the next day, he delivered the package. He lied to his own company and to Amazon about the actual delivery date. Oh, it gets worse. I had another Amazon order that shipped this month by OnTrac. The Amazon site and OnTrac showed a delivery date of 8/7/14. I once again called Amazon and OnTrac. OnTrac once again said they would have the driver come and "show me" where he put the package the next day. Well, the driver showed up while I was not at home on 8/15/14 and delivered my package, but he also left 3 other packages that were to be delivered to a totally different city, to 3 different addresses. I called OnTrac on 8/15/14 and told them about the 3 packages that were delivered in error. They said they would send the driver out on Monday, 8/18/14, to retrieve the packages. The customer service rep at OnTrac also informed me, after I provided her with the 3 tracking numbers, that they showed a delivery date of 7/24/14 for all 3 packages. Once again, more lies about packages being delivered. The 3 packages still have not been picked up to this day. I e-mailed OnTrac (because I got sick of calling them) on 8/25/14 asking them when they plan on picking up these packages as I am sure the customers would like their orders, and they have not replied. Amazing customer service. I've asked Amazon not to use this package "non-delivery" company for any of my orders. I never have this trouble with UPS, FedEx, or even with USPS. OnTrac is THE WORST PACKAGE DELIVERY COMPANY, AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

Suppose to be delivered June 1st ....I am still waiting for it and today is June 6th. Says its in transit since June 1st. Used their website to inquire but no response. Unfortunately, Amazon has apparently decided to use On Trac for deliveries in Sonoma County. I ordered some medicated gel for a friend who lives in Rio Nido (Guerneville) and had them be unable to deliver it three times in a row. The first time they sent it back as undeliverable, and the second two times they claimed to deliver it even though it was never received. The second time, I even talked with the dispatcher and informed him that the google maps pin was exactly on top of her house which was on the corner of an intersection. The third time, I tried to call them but their voicemail produced an endless loop and I could not reach anyone. Unbelievably incompetent and I think indifferent also. Amazon claimed to want to help (and refunded my funds), but they're still going with the cheapest delivery service. I'll never order anything from Amazon sent to Sonoma County again. read more

We have been fighting the use of ONTRAC for a while now since over the last 2+ years they have miss delivered 5 package and we've not been able to find where they went since ONTRAC does very poor follow up. We have specific directions with them on where and how to deliver packages which UPS & Fed Ex follow to the T. We were notified last night that a package was delivered so this morning I went out to find it, again it was not delivered to the proper place and with it was a package they said was delivered January 3, 2019 which Amazon had already give us a credit and the other package was the reorder of the January 3 package. If at all possible don't use ONTRAC. read more

Worst delivery ever! The delivery person set or possibly threw the package over the fence right behind our automated gate. As soon as the gate was open the package was crushed containing our brand new smart phone. Then when we checked online it said we had signed for the package when we had not. They were too lazy to walk to the front door ring the door bell or set the package where every other delivery service for NINE YEARS has managed to safely set out packages. They stated that it would be delivered on the next day, which was saturday and per their website, a delivery day, but again no package. Eureka, California is served out of OnTrac's Petaluma facility. Have received several deliveries from them including an Amazon Prime delivery today. Next day (actually almost overnight) 280 miles north of San Francisco. Ordered after 7 pm on Wednesday and received at 5:30 pm on Thursday. Can't ask for any better than that. Shipping box was pristine. Not a mark on it!! Driver was calm and friendly. Thanks, OnTrac. Hope that Amazon continues to use you and hope that other vendors go the OnTrac route! read more

I agree with the other posters on the one star, and I generally only post with 5 stars. I was not a customer, but a neighbor's box from a pharmacy was left on my doorstep by "OnTrac" (should be "OFFTrac"), despite a completely different house number in clear view (the delivery address was 1796 _____ Rd. and my address is 816 _______(different) Lane. OK, mistakes happen. But this is the bad part: this was delivered on a Thursday, I called Fri morning, was on hold 20 min, gave all the information to the person, who assured me it would be picked up that day. Told the this had a pharmacy origin - might be important... Package still there all day in the sun. Called again, on hold super-long time again, gave my spiel and info again. Assured of pick up again. This continued through yet ANOTHER REPEAT OF ABOVE, and the package was FINALLY picked up on the following Wednesday - a week late. Who knows if/when it actually got delivered to right person. Almost an hour of my time just to be sure the poor woman got her package. To be sure, it's tricky out here in the country, or I would have delivered it myself, so on my first call I warned them of this and suggested they call her for instructions. But my point is that this is HORRIBLE customer service and/or a super-lame driver who should be fired. This is why I left ATT for Verizon - crappy customer service - bless Yelp for letting us get the word of warning out on bad companies. read more

Ontrac said our package was delivered even though nothing was dropped off. They were little to no help in trying to find a solution.

On Trac is the worst company ever to do business with. If they fail to deliver your package on time, they will absolutely lie to you and say too bad!! This is a terrible delivery service. I think they are either stealing packages or just throwing them where ever they like. My package was never delivered like they said it was and some one used my name to sign for it and a neighbors package that has disappeared as well. By far the worst thing Amazon has ever done was hiring Ontrac as a delivery service. The drivers are routinely late with deliveries, falsely sign for packages delivered that show up days later, and deliver to the wrong addresses all the time. Ontrac has rendered Amazon Prime useless. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would, this company has refused t deliver to my house for every package I have ever had the unfortunate experience of having to use them. I understand I live in a small town but that doesn't make it ok to just not deliver here. I have had to drive 1.5 hours to the location in Petaluma to pick up my package!!!! Not to mention they didn't even try to contact me with that package saying they were not going to deliver it, luckily I called because they said I had one more day to pick it up before they sent it back to the shipper!!! Just like now I am waiting for a delivery that I paid for 2 day shipping but now it is not expected for another week!!! The things in this package are things I need for my vacation I'm taking next week!!! Now I will have to go and buy these items from somewhere else and return the shipment whenever I get it. I ordered an item from Amazon on 1/38/15. When it had not arrived by 2/8/15, I called Amazon and the very pleasant helpful woman told me that apparently my package was "lost" by the carrier. The woman at Amazon was most apologetic, and put in a re-order at no charge and told me I would have the item by Feb. 10, guaranteed. I checked, and of course, the carrier is On-Trac, and I never received the package. This is not the first time I have had this experience when Amazon uses On-Trac. My office in my home is situated where I can see directly out my window to the curb where On-Trac pulls up to deliver. Many times, I have watched them RUN halfway up the (VERY SHORT) path, then hurl the package onto my front stoop. Why Amazon continues to use this carrier is beyond me, as they are a complete disaster,. It is obvious from the other reviews here on YELP that a good many others feel the same. I wonder if any other company uses On-Trac as a carrier, or is it just Amazon keeping them in business. Some of the other stories here are far more telling than mine, and the range of excuses given by On-Trac reps (when they can be reached at all) is unbelievable. "Took the package to the post office for them to deliver??" Who thought up that one? A driver leaving piles of packages with a friend for them "to pick up later," or for the friend to deliver for him? No doubt about it - the outfit should be shut down. read more

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. They marked my package as delivered, even though a delivery person NEVER CAME TO MY HOUSE! I emailed twice--they did not respond. I called and spoke to someone (after a two hour wait); that someone "confirmed" the package would be delivered the next day (um... how was that supposed to happen, when it had already been delivered?) Not happy at all, OnTrac had me waiting at home all day for my package and never showed up, status was updated to next business day at 7:40pm, found out because I kept on tracking package, lost a day of work waiting for this package, on top of that, spent 1:24 on hold with customer service. Let me say the only reason they get even one star is when dealing with the customer service people on the phone they seemed to truly want to fix the problems. The problems where this. Tracking number said it would be delivered on Thursday. GREAT! :-) Then it shows it was delivered and someone signed for it. But no one lives here by that name and I certainly didn't get it. So after calling in I'm told the driver knows where it is and I'll see it on Friday. Okay so stuff happens and I still get it before the weekend when I NEED it. Yet Friday nothing and now the driver is telling me he dropped it off at the post office for them to deliver. COMPLETE lie. My mother in law just retired from the post office and they DO NOT DELI EVER other carriers mail for them. So last night I get Oh he knows right where it is and you'll have it on Monday. I tell them to just send it back. Then I get we can have it to you on Sunday. At this point I'm done. I fully understand things happen. But when you lie about it I will NEVER deal with this company again and will ALWAYS make sure before ordering ANYTHING that this company will NOT be the carrier. OnTrac's tracking showed that a package was delivered by Petaluma OnTrac to my home at Friday afternoon, but we were at home and NEVER saw anybody stopping by our front door, ringing the door bell or leaving a package. It is not the first time that Ontrac has fraud info for tracking on their website. So far I have not seen any package. It was stolen, if not by me, mostly likely by OnTrac. read more

Each time Amazon uses Ontrac as the delivery carrier the following scenario occurs. I receive a text saying the package was left at my front door. There is no package. I call Ontrac customer service; the representative taking the call reports checking with the driver and being informed the package is still on the truck. The package will be delivered by noon. There is no package at noon. I contact customer service again. Supposedly the package is still on the truck. It finally shows up after 8 PM. Not only is Ontrac delivering the package late, the company is misinforming both me and Amazon (their customer) of the status of the package delivery. I have now contacted Amazon and requested they never use Ontrac as the delivery agent for any of my orders. Amazon has filed a complaint for me. It remains to be seen if they will comply with my request to assign other carriers to my shipments. read more

When my package didn't arrive this morning, I read the reviews here and was throughly disgusted and assumed I would not get my package. The delivery of my package was a challenge, but received by the initial estimate by Amazon. That being said, the execution of the delivery was less than stellar. The only reason that I'm giving this 3 stars is for the service I received from Kayla at the HQ office. Amazon (this seems to be a theme with these reviews) shipped the package through OnTrac with an estimated delivery time of no later than 8pm. (I received my package at 7:55pm). The delivery was supposed to be to my work address and when I checked the package in the morning, I saw it was noted my business was closed when they attempted the delivery at 9:31am. We had been open since 8am. After a call to OnTrac's HQ and an email, I was told how sorry they were and they would get the package out to me asap. I waited at work until 5:00pm and still no go. I was told the 'manager' was going to deliver it from Petaluma. Then the manager (Raj) called me and told me he talked to his employee and the employee didn't even ATTEMPT to deliver it to me. He just assumed we were closed today (On a Friday??!!!!) and noted that with Amazon. No delivery. Then I was told the manager (Raj) was driving from San Francisco to deliver the package and would be at my HOME (yes, we had to change the delivery location) by 7:00pm. The guy who FINALLY delivered my package said he drove from Santa Rosa to Petaluma to pick up the package then back to Santa Rosa to deliver it. Kayla kept in touch with me for several hours trying to locate the package and get it to me in a timely manner. I appreciate her tenacity. The other employees told me one lie after another about the status of my package but lo and behold....I did receive it. Although I don't believe I can choose what company Amazon uses to ship packages, I believe if you keep after them, they will come. read more

Never heard of ontrac before until yesterday when my Amazon purchase didn't arrive. We contacted Amazon and they showed our item was to be delivered today, well it wasn't! We received an email confirming delivery this morning... no delivery. This place is a scam!! Thankfully Amazon is going to refund. i am so upset i ordered a pair of shoes from zara that were expected to be delivered the next day per the tracking information. i kept an eye on the tracking info because i have had 2 previous close calls dealing with this company. of course they never showed and later that night i received an email confirmation from ontrac around 11pm stating they "handed box to customer"!! i don't know why zara continues to use them when they don't care about delivering people's goods to the correct address. i even had my building mgr review our camera surveillance during the time frame they mentioned and no one delivered anything within 2 hrs prior,during or after. now i have to wait until zara proves i didn't receive the shoes... really? pissed!!! read more

If it were possible to give these guys a zero star review, I would. I'm an Amazon Prime customer and it seems that every single time they send my package "guaranteed" delivery date using Ontrac/Petaluma I'm wondering where it is the day after it doesn't show. I just got off the phone with Amazon to discuss the latest delay that was to have been delivered yesterday - guaranteed. Amazon phoned Ontrac/Petaluma and was told the package had been put on the wrong delivery vehicle and returned to their facility. This is in spite of the tracking data showing it was in my area, then returned to the Petaluma facility (30+ miles away) yesterday, and back to my area today (on the wrong vehicle???). This is not the only time I've had problems with an Amazon package delivery from Ontrac. Last time a package wasn't delivered when promised I phoned the Ontrac/Petaluma facility to find out where the package was. The representative told me that the driver had run out of hours he could work for the day and returned to the base, and that the package would be delivered the next day. Two days later it finally showed up. I've also experienced the same as previous reviewers - the delivery person tends to hurl packages. This is totally unacceptable because sometimes there's a breakable in the package. read more

Delivery is more often than not past the commitment date. I found out that Amazon.com lists an OnTrac number, which I called. Someone picked up the phone with great alacrity, promised to light a fire under the Petaluma warehouse, and urged me to file a complaint the next time. That's encouraging! That OnTrac number is 1-800-334-5000 x4200. If enough people call and file a complaint, we might get movement. read more

Really clueless and not good - Why? I was at home and I heard a knock on the door and then the door open. As I was walking toward the door some guy is walking in...my house! It turned out to be a on trac delivery guy - no uniform, no vehicle to be seen. I immediate asked what was he doing in my house! He mumbled "sorry" and stepped back out saying that he needed a signature for a package he delivered previously. I had seen the package and if he hadn't had the delivery papers for me to sign I would have thought he was out for no good. Not safe (!) and I told him that was a good way to get shot. I tried to impress on him but he did not seem to understand that it was not okay. I tried to connect with the company today but became fatigued with the excessively long hold. read more

I placed an order with Kohl's online. They used OnTrac to send my package. At first I was pleasantly suprised when I tracked my package and it stated that my package was guaranteed to arrive a day after it shipped. The day it was supposed to arrive, I checked the tracking again and it stated that my package had been delivered and signed for. It had not, however. When I looked at the tracking details I discovered that the package had been dropped off at an OnTrac location 3 hours away from my house! I was furious. I had to reorder my items which meant I would not have them when I needed them! Horrible company. I don't know why Kohl's uses them. I hope I never have to deal with this company again. read more
