I came in with a history of awful knee injuries, multiple surgeries followed by iffy recoveries, and little to no faith in the muscles in my lower body. In less than 12 months I've gone from constantly worrying about those shaky knees to feeling real confidence in my movements. Doubling my PRs has just been an added perk... Ashlee has been awesome in creating tailored programs for me and what I need. Just as important, she fosters a welcoming and encouraging environment in the group training sessions that make them more enjoyable than they have any business being. If you want help with nutrition, she's got you. If you want suggestions for good obscure metal bands, she's got you there too. The front desk service is good, however, the personal trainers are to busy in the phone texting to answer any questions and seemed annoyed if interrupted for enquires. Also they advertise a seven day free trial and filing out the form at home or going to the gym with from the desk person could not get it to generate a pass.

Staff members are often on their phones rather than greeting members or assisting at the front desk. On more than one occasion, I've stood waiting to be checked in for several minutes because employees were either in the back or focused on their phones. The manager or assistant manager (I'm not sure of her exact role) is particularly unwelcoming. She rarely smiles, never greets members, and often gives the impression that acknowledging customers is an inconvenience. Her attitude comes across as dismissive and unfriendly, which sets a poor tone for the entire facility. It's unfortunate because the gym clearly puts a lot of effort into maintaining a clean environment. I only wish the same level of attention and pride were put into customer service and member experience.

What better way to celebrate than to stay healthy (or to try at least?). The exercises were challenging, but he emphasized to do what worked best for us and our bodies. I loved this Yelp/ RVA Performance Training experience! The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff were amazing! Another win.

I took a free Yelp class to try my first cross fit class. This was awesome!! We had a good size…read moregroup and he worked us out... he said it was a lighter version but let me tell you.. my legs have been sore for 6 days lol!!! Our instructer was awesome, great personality, kept the class fun and interesting. Most of us were beginners but he told us to do what we can, dont try to out do the person next to you. We did so much.. butpees, threw a heavy ball up the wall while doing squats, sit ups, pull ups, pull ups on rings, lunges and more. I loved the flow of the glass although there were moments I had to break, I still kept up! This crissfit gym is hidden but is a great place to work out!
