After looking through online reviews we found a recommendation for Turquoise House so I stopped in. The owner is wonderful! He was so kind and really spent the time getting to know us and what we were interested in. When I found a signed vintage piece that was out of my price range, he worked with us to get it to a price we could manage. We left feeling like we had a new friend in the business. When we looked further at the hallmark and researched the artist more, we found that the piece we bought is valued at 30% more than we paid. Not that we will ever sell it. I know this review sounds a little gushy but just look at the photo and you'll get it.

By now, he knows exactly what I like--probably a little too well! Nobody here is pushy. They let you take your time, browse, try things on, and enjoy looking through the thousands of beautiful pieces they have. I always tell my husband I hate going into Wind River because I know what's going to happen. I'll find something I love, Abe will say, "Just try it on," and once I see it on...well, we all know how that ends. My latest find is absolutely stunning and unlike anything I've ever seen before. It's a very unique Zuni needlepoint necklace made with turquoise and coral by Octavius and Irma, a Zuni couple who have been making jewelry together for more than 50 years. It is truly a special piece, and I absolutely love it. That's what keeps us coming back to Wind River every time we visit Santa Fe. Take your time and look around because there is so much to see. I was informed that the store was purchased by new owners in January, 2019. There's the problem.
