I haven't had Oddle Noodle in probably a little over one year. I am a Celiac and I have only really one option, the Pad Thai as I don't care for curry. Today's meal had a weird flavour to it, almost as if I took a deep breath with my mouth open while I applied perfume. So started to try and pinpoint the odd flavoured ingredient(s) and that is when I noticed the chicken pieces were perfectly and uniformly sliced and looked stringy. They reminded me of the turkey dinners from decades ago. Then I tasted a slice of this chicken product and yup that was the weird tasting stuff. It was dry and yet slimy at the smar time and stringy. I don't remember this being the case tje last time I visited I remember chunks of chicken that looked like they were freshly prepped. Ordered takeout. Easy menu. Buy one get one free for the Tokyo Glaze Noodle so super good deal. They come in such cute packaging! Not very hot by the time we got home but the noodles hold their texture so we'll they reheat easily and are great for next day as well! Tokyo Glaze Noodle 10/10, thick noodles are so good. Not spicy. Kung Pao 10/10 but flavor was not what I expected for Kung Pao. Not spicy at all which was good for the kids. Ginger beef was good 10/10 but portion was quite small and we had so much rice with no meat left. Overall very happy with my meal and the price! read more

Good sized portions. Food was well packed and stayed warm enough in the take out bowl that I didn't need to reheat the wonton soup once home. The green onion cakes were nicely raised and had a good crisp and taste. Decent spring rolls too. I did get extra noodles added to my take out that I didn't expect but actually came in handy. I used it with the leftover broth & veggies for soup the next day. I believe skip the dish does the deliveries but I was in the area so I went in person. Like all places I've been in for picking up food, masks are required, hand sanitizer is at entrance, line spacing well marked out and no in restaurant seating during this third wave. Came here for the first time in need of some serious food after 8 hours of doing renos and not eating since breakfast! We had completely demolished the kitchen... But I digress... I found the prices to be high and the quality hit and miss. Yes, the food had OODLES of noodles but there was hardly anything else in the dishes. I ordered the salad rolls - sub par. Only shrimp in them - no pork, basil, etc. They were made fresh to order but still not very good and $5.95 for 4 I believe. We also shared: Jungle Curry Cambogee The most famous curry of all. Mandarin noodles, coconut milk, and fresh seasonal vegetables. All tossed in our awesome curry sauce. The flavour was good but where were the "seasonal vegetables?" A few slices of celery, bean sprouts, and a handful of julienned carrots hardly constitute fresh seasonal vegetables for my vocabulary. And lastly, we shared: Bun Cha Gio 6.95 A very popular dish in South Vietnam. Vermicelli, iceberg lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, all mixed in our tasty sauce. Served with three spring rolls. Add sautéed beef or chicken 2.50 Meh... The spring rolls were good but the meat was over sauced, no fish sauce served on the side, and well - kinda meh. Our total bill was about $26 - I'd rather go to China Town for this price and have OODLES of freshness with veggies galore! The staff were friendly and they had Bob Marley playing in the background as they laughed, danced, and sang along. Another bummer - a shared men/women's washroom! Ewww! Spring rolls are great but I found that my bowl was lacking! It's all noodle and sauce! Where's the vegetables?! Where's the beef?! Perhaps it's foolish of me to think an Vietnamese franchise would strive for fresh, abundant ingredients but I thought Vietnamese cuisine was the perfect balance of delicious and healthy. My mistake. I used to go to the Oodle Noodle on Whyte and get varying vegetarian dishes back around 2007-2009. I really enjoyed the quality & taste and was impressed with the prices. I thought id give it a try on the north side after nearly a decade without having had it. I ordered the ginger beef & was very disappointed. The "meat" was basically all soggy batter & the taste was lacking immensely. I didn't even finish my dish. The service was friendly & my food only took a couple of minutes to get. I ordered Ginger Beef to go. When you first look at the bowl, you think you are getting a lot of food for your $12, but in reality it is mostly rice. WAY TOO MUCH RICE. I ended up eating about 3 bites and couldn't stomach any more of it. The beef or sauce had a really sour flavour with no sweet or spice to balance it. read more

Was expecting a little bit more from this place walking away disappointed. Ordered ginger beef rice box and 2 green onion cakes cost about $20. Service was ok got my food fairly quick. Tried the onion cakes immediately but realized that this is almost all cake and no onion. Wouldn't recommend the onion cake unless you like eating deep fried dough with very little to almost no onion. Then I started eating my ginger beef which was even a bigger disappointment, lacking in flavour the ginger beef was not good. Tasted like a very boring deep fry dish. The ginger beef itself was battered heavy leaving you with very little bit of meat....hmmm start to sense a trend here. They give you a lot of rice but it plain rice not good. If your gonna eat here avoid the ginger beef and onion cakes. Come on oodle noodle you can do better then this. read more

I go to this location a lot when I stay at friends houses and end up needing lunch or dinner. I am vegetarian and there are not many veg options in Edmonton when it comes to anywhere outside of Downtown, so Oodle Noodle is my go to. The staff at this location are usually pretty great. Sometimes service is slow, while other times they whip my food up in a breeze. One of the chefs is the fastest cooks I have ever seen, which makes waiting tolerable. The food is always hot and always made to order which is nice. The location is also pretty convenient and has plenty of seating inside. The selection here is also really good, but same as all of the other locations so it doesn't set it apart in any way. I like that they have Tofu options and say which dishes are vegan. The tofu is usually pretty good and plentiful. The vegetables, however, leave a lot to be desired. It is true that they consist primarily of bean sprouts, carrots, cabbage and max 2 small pieces of broccoli... (ever). More vegetables would be nice, especially in the Veggie Lovers box, as there is only so much nutritional value in the above. When they say seasonal, they must mean annual, because I have never seen the veggies fluctuate in any way since going there initially. All in all, good food, consistent quality (for me anyway), good variety, nice staff - not high turnover, and convenient location. For fast food you can't ask for more. The food is really good here but the customer service is questionable. The manager( franchise owner?) was rude and told me and my husband that the soup we ordered was only for one person and would not give an extra bowl and that it costs too much for the store to serve one bowl for two people. He wouldn't stop talking about the costs of operating the restaurant. It was discouraging and we felt that as customers we were burdening the restaurant. We didn't go back for a long time but we did finally go back because the food is really good there. So good food, bad customer service if you get served by the manager. read more

All in all, a mediocre effort. My pad thai was totally lacking in flavour. Companion's teriyaki glazed beef wasn't glazed so much as swimming in sauce. The man taking orders could not explain the choices and the grill cook kept having to interject to answer questions. We went here on after driving by it for a few months or so..... it is a clean, speedy, well run restaurant. The portions are HUGE, the staff are great, but we had one issue that knocked our review down a star....WHERE IS THE SHRIMP, CHEAPIES???? We ordered the mongolian dish, and E ordered a combo dish that came with shrimp, chicken, and beef. Pardon not knowing the names as the menu is not accessible right now for me. The mongolian stir fry was awesome. It was hot, sauced right, and as stated above, the portion was HUGE. I got into about 1/4 of it and I was done. 4 people could eat that monstrosity! "E"" ordered a 3 meat combo which consisted of shrimp, chicken, and beef. Sounds great on paper, however, once she got her order she offered me a shrimp to taste and I returned her gesture with some beef. That didn't work out so well as there was only one shrimp in her dish, and I got the only one. Strike 3! DONE! The spring rolls were awesome. The staff were even better. They work hard. The mongolian dish was nice. Worthy of a second visit. However, "E"s combo dish only had one shrimp and that is a reason for us not to go here again. We spent a pretty penny on our meal and it was nice, but did not deliver value for money. 6 more shrimp would have got 4 stars. The one we got was a rip off. And shrimp are not even that expensive....tsk tsk cheapies! EDIT: I just changed it to two stars because we spent a lot of money to eat here, but the lack of shrimp in E"s combo dish was a deal breaker. We felt ripped off. One shrimp????? read more

Been here twice so far and each time really enjoyed the food I ate. I'm a vegatarian and they have a couple Vegan options which is great. They make your food fresh while you wait. If you like noodle bowls this is a definite must go to eat. Kung pow noodles with peanuts and fresh bean sprouts on top. Yummy!! read more

Have been here a couple times now, for the price you can not beat the serving sizes. I have ordered the Combo, or the Chicken Pad Thai. Food quality is great. For a fast-food noodle restaurant you will not be able to beat it. read more

Have been to this location at least a dozen times, the staff are always smiling and seem to be having a good time. I always have a tough time deciding what I want and have never felt rushed, the amount of food you get is insane I always end up having lunch the next day. Every dish I have tried so far has been delicious! read more
