Delicious sweet treats and quick to help upon entrance to this dessert boutique! This location of Ooh La La is sort of off the beaten path...the sign is small and you might miss it if you're not looking hard enough. It's other location in Katy is a much larger space and has more selection than this one. The bakery case has a decent amount of treats including but not limited to whole cakes, cake slices, cheesecakes, cupcakes, and more. I did notice that not all their cupcakes are inside the refrigerator case and are left out towards the back end of the counter, not sure why. I have tried several flavors of cupcakes at this dessert boutique and enjoyed them thoroughly. Their Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake is one the best ones and envelops sweet strawberries and topped with a dreamy frosting (not too sweet either). I also recommend their Pink Lady, Velvet Elvis, and Boston Cream Pie Cupcake. They are all very moist and the jumbo size is a good way to share with another person. Pair it with one of their coffees or smoothies for an even more indulgent experience. Their cupcake box is also sturdy enough for transporting home and I'm glad they don't just bag it like some other bakeries I've tried. I do remember they have a lot of tasty treats, and their cupcakes are super yummy. One of my ultimate favorite treats from here is their ranger cookies. It's like an oatmeal cookie, but better! The sad part is that it's not the same as I remembered it to be! It used to have coconut, nuts, crunchy rice crispy, and maybe raisins or chocolate chips, or maybe both? This time it's strictly oatmeal and shredded coconut. It is still yummy, I just wish it was the old recipe. This location is kinda hidden and tucked away. The display case is not as easy to see as it's behind the counter. I believe there's either menus or you can ask what flavors of treats they have available. Very hidden location. The setup of the bakery is really inconvenient. The cupcakes are hidden behind wooden/glass doors that poorly lit. The only hand selection they had was not good at all, options where very limited. I got 2 macarons -salted caramel -confetti - chocolate chip cookie dough. The macarons didn't taste fresh at all and the texture wasn't up to par. Also got a strawberries cheese cake that was just average. Ooh La La knocked it out of the park for me! I emailed out several bakeries to get a quote for a small replica of our wedding cake for our ten year anniversary. I have had their cupcakes and macaroons before so I felt confident in the quality and taste. I just was not sure of their artsy designs. They did amazing!!!! The cake was moist! I picked confetti since we were celebrating a milestone along with vanilla butter cream. Kinda simple but remember I wanted a mini replica of my wedding cake... it was the best! Been going to this place for almost 10 years now and never regret it one bit. I honestly like their cupcakes better than Crave cupcake and think the reason why they don't get as much hype is just that they are more plain Jane. They package many of my business' corporate client goodies and they always package it exactly like how I asked. The service is ALWAYS amazing. I see them pretty frequent and I'm sure they all have days where they probably don't feel like dealing with me or other customers but they always treat everyone with a smile and so much courtesy. The place is always spotless clean and is not meant for people to sit down at all, so keep that in mind. It is meant for people to just take out to go orders so don't hold that against them. It had that I'm a day old and someone left me out where the air could affect me type of bite in my mouth. It wasn't 3 day old stale but it was pretty dry and for $3 and a quarter, I want SOFT crumbles forming and taste buds tingling. I want to release that high squealed, this is so damn good, who needs sex type of feeling...FAIL! I also ordered the italian cream cake which is kept in a refrigerated compartment, unlike the cupcakes. It's texture was a bit better but it still wasn't the moistness that $6 goodies would suggest. Am I asking too much? You can't beat the price for the size though. The cream cheese frosting was good on both though... It's a quaint lil shop, not much room for a large crowd. If you know Katy cupcake connoisseurs, you probably will only hear about Ooh La La. Big and decorated with candy bars adorning the fluffy frosting, each cupcake looks like something out of Food Network, or a baking magazine. But as you know, cupcakes can be hit or miss. The Westheimer in Katy and Town and Country at City Centre boutiques, in my experience have not been "as fresh" as this location. I was happy to discover that Ooh La La has more than just cupcakes. You can find macarons, cheesecake, banana pudding in cups, and cookies too. My fav cupcake to buy as gifts are the red velvet gluten free cupcake. For some reason, I am told by my friends that THIS IS THEIR FAVORITE red velvet, ANYWHERE! I particularly love their banana pudding. Sold in a clear plastic cup, it is creamy, smooth and sweet. And if you feel like buying a slice of cake, you have to try their strawberry amaretto cake slices. It is gigantic and perfect blend of strawberry filling, nestled between yellow cake and a perfect, subtle white amaretto frosting. While not exactly on the inexpensive side, if you're in the mood for some sweets and you're shopping at the Best Buy, pop on over to this unassuming location in an industrial strip center, next to a sewing shop and bring home some goodies. read more

I never actually went to this location, I had my mother pick me up some cupcakes while she was driving back to Austin for me. This location was the closest to her way home so I had her swing by here. She said it was very clean and in more of an industrial part. You can tell by the photos that the location is a little obscure compared to the other locations. None the less I got two cupcakes and they were giant! They were super moist and delicious and that's even considering the fact that I didn't get the chance to eat them right away since they had to make it the 2 hour drive home to me. This is our second visit to this location. Our first visit was a bust because we got there near closing time, and they were out of just about everything. After talking to the guy behind the counter, he said that this is the bakery and distribution center for the other two locations. So, this is as fresh as it gets. He also said that if you want decent choices you need to get there around lunchtime, but no later than 2pm because that's when their inventory starts to become slim pickin's. On our second visit, we go about mid-afternoon on a Friday and their display cupboard was looking a little bare, but we still had plenty of choices. The young lady came from the back was very nice and helpful with our decisions. My wife and I each got two cupcakes. She got the Bunny Boo (carrot cake) cupcake and the Italian Cream cupcake. I got the Ultimate Chocolate cupcake and the German Chocolate cupcake. Now, let me tell you. These confections are soft, sweet and heavenly on the tongue. Now, the store front isn't much to look at, but it's the food you are after. If you are wanting a pleasing environment, then I suggest the Cinco Ranch location. That place is wonderful to walk into, and has wonderful displays of sugar-coma-death. I can't comment on the Town & Country Village location because I've never been there. BUT! Honestly, are you really going to these places to enjoy soft colors, antiqued furniture in a bakery setting? It helps to have a wonderful environment, but really what will take us back time and time again is the wonderful sweets, cakes, and pies. If you have been then you know what I'm talking about. We ordered custom iced sugar cookies for a birthday. The cookies were super cute in the shape of colorful beach balls , sunglasses, and square cookies with a design & confetti sprinkles. They were delicious too. I did tell the bakery to please bake the cookies so they are soft. We like our cookies soft & chewy. The decorated iced sugar cookies were great. We were very pleased. The manager was very helpful. She incorporated the colors we wanted and had them bake the cookies just like we prefer. Alright, so I been dying to come to this place since my co workers were raving about they have the best cakes but it is a bit tad expensive. For me, I wouldn't mind spending extra for food that taste way beyond amazing. When entering I was greeted right away. I was trying to order but I was looking at the menu. It was really a small place and I could barely see what was on. I felt a bit rushed so I decided to get the German chocolate slice of cake. $7.50 & my co worker got a chocolate muse cake. Excuse the misspelling. My co workers usually talk in their language about the time limit we have left cause we were on our lunch break.
